I am really disappointed that I can’t login because I was farming my own gear, NOT SELLING or EXPLOITING, but I understand that this “event” can crash the economy and destroy the fun of the game.

I wrote my own negative review and reported Tree of Savior to Steam to have it removed as a purchasable game due to reason of Fraud for invalidly banning 1600 users for a developer mistake. I will also be charging back all purchases made over the life of the account by tomorrow if not resolved.

Has there been any bans issue yet? Because I had a message on my client when I tried to login talking about protetion, and now it’s a different message today saying my account is locked for maintenance purposes etc. What does that mean? Because I know for a fact that I didn’t trade, sell or craft anything at all.
Hey @STAFF_Ines, if what I said isn’t a good reason to not ban people, all these negative reviews should be.
Is it possible to get an official statement of why a rollback was not an option for this issue?
I feel like a lot of damage could have been prevented with a proper rollback(s).

I think the shocking thing to take away from all of this is that IMC doesn’t keep database backups.

Dude, a rollback affects the WHOLE server, people who have leveled, farmed, bought TP, dropped rare items, etc. It basically goes back in time in a certain period of time
To be short: A lot of innocent people who had NOTHING to do with the exploit situation would be affected
How is that better than seizeing just the affected accounts and leaving all the other ones alone?

Yes! I want to know about the rollback thing. A rollback should be more than enough to compensate everybody for this hot mess. But everywhere I looked no one knows why it didn’t happen. Some say the server can’t do 1-3 days rollbacks only weekly maintance.

seems like there should be a better party loot system for those who are friends but maybe they want you to use up trade counts and so things are as they are.
but if u have trade a item with ur friend on the same day of this “bug”(lether for plate same hg item) will be banned?

@STAFF_Ines can you tell us anything about this? My friends and I were getting the protection mode message until today, usually the “locked for maintenance purposes” message is used for bans, but we didn’t trade anything. So, I’m guessing this means our accounts are finally being investigated?
I was about to be able to buy a practonium and get my first 315 prac item, but with these events I couldn’t keep farming silver the way I did before, and seeing everyone farming the “glitched” items I went for them as well. I tried to sell a bunch of them in the market and then I got kicked from the server. I’m not saying that I don’t deserve to be punished, but locking out accounts for doing this isn’t the best way to solve this problem, one of the worst I could say. We’re already supposedly being punished by not being able to play the entire weekend.
I guess the best way should be subtracting all the silver and items we’ve acquired by this unfair manner and not giving the bonus items the honest players will receive.
I appreciate your dedication to solve this problem and feel sorry for something so game breaking has happened.
NO. Most people know that people who sell item in the market will get banned and will no have the rewards. The problem is that people who don’t sell the items and keep them for themselves or were waiting when the market normalize to sell the items will be REWARDS with stupid mount of TP only items. Those people Abuse of the exploit too. And should be punished no rewarded.
Strange case where people get items without know it should take a side and make individual ticket for help/explain they case. This kind of people was really a few.
@lagunarealm48 @lewleitx We haven’t published the list of banned accounts yet; that should be in our next official announcement after all the accounts are done processing. They are still being investigated at the moment.
Please don’t assume anything about the fate of your account from the message you’re getting. The message changes depending on the current type of restriction applied to the account, but it doesn’t mean that you’re being banned.

It’s still messed up that you plan to ban anyone. What’s the message you’re sending? “Don’t play the game, we might have screwed up and punish you for our mistake”?

dude is a “bug” for 14hrs is not imc fault , we have farming items on a farming game and we need ban i think this is fair dont u?
