Everyone has their way to play/enjoy the game. What you think is correct for you, don’t necessarily apply for others. It’s up to IMC to decide what is right or wrong in their game.
Eyasoft + GPotato actually managed to kill Luna Online by implementing a separate ‘bot’ tab where you could set everything automated and bot to your heart’s content. Their excuse was to give legit players the same tools as bots have, instead of trying to fight against botting. It ruined all the fun and along with few other tasteless things they added on that update everyone pretty much just left the game. The population dropped really low in matter of days and never rose from there.
I guess, yeah.
I can’t really talk, I used to do unattended macroing in Ultima Online, back when it was called “unattended macroing.” “Botting” is much simpler and less of a mouthful.
OSI really frowned on that. I knew people who got banned for botting. I gave up on it after a day and a half, because it just wasn’t fun

Or IMC should make an “announce” that Z-afk, might not be the same as botting (it does not modifies the game or so) but its an “exploit” or something like that.
I think it should be punished, but perma ban at first instance is too much :D.
Shouldnt be allowed. Will lead to just worse player practices.
I don’t know if I want to vote because I want a fix not bans… It means I don’t want it to be allowed but in a different way X)… I don’t rly want to ban ppl for this…
Still this. IMC should fix it in the first place. It is a bad “feature”…
We should ban IMC too because they made this situation in the first place and they also kinda support it. XD
anyone who use z-botting have to be banned
botting is botting in any way you do it

Honestly this reminds me faintly of “Reco-Boxing” in Phantasy Stat Online Ep1 & 2.
There was a type of special on a few weapons that have an ‘exp steal’ effect, just give you a tiny, tiny bit of exp for every hit.
Then there was an enemy that was essentially a box that deployed sentries one by one until eventually the box would run out of sentries as you kept killing them and it would just be a defenseless box.
People would remove their gear and make themselves super weak, so they did “0” dmg to the box, place their character on auto attack on the box and just leave it on over night, using either turbo controllers or just doing it will not paying attention and it would be free leveling. Some people would use this trick to extremely high levels. It wasn’t exactly very fast but when you consider that you could make it sit there and do it all the time without you watching or playing, it was decent enough.
This was not something that was banned for or illegal.
However it was extremely frowned upon by the community. If somebody knew you were a ‘reco-boxer’, everybody knew, and you would not be able to live it down. Everyone would forever look at you as an unlegit cheater who didn’t earn your level. You were basically he lowest of the low. People didn’t even want to play with you, it made them feel yucky.
Assuming IMC cares not for this, it’s on us to wag the finger at people who do this and create a stigma so that people who do this are discouraged from doing so.
