[Poll] Service Model for International Server

I would really love for ToS to be subscription based, but I don’t think it’s likely. The next best thing for me would be a “premium server” type solution and after that, a free-to-play but optional subscription for bonuses.

I’ve played far too many games ruined by cash shops and I’m the kind of compulsive person who wastes too much of his disposable income on them.

Weird, I thought in todays age B2P would easily be beating P2P :open_mouth:

Yes, they did-- I’ve been playing it since launch and still do. Although it hardly affected the second server, the economy is in chaos on the first server in comparison (And that server has a far greater amount of farming bots in it than the second one does). This goes to show that Bots can greatly influence the market by constantly pumping currency into it because otherwise, both of those servers would have an economy somewhat close to each other.

So what do bots have to do with the game’s business model?

It makes no difference to me the chosen model. I have no problem paying for a game that I enjoy.

Bots are one of the greatest issues for a game and if in high-enough numbers, can damage the games economy early on, as stated above. Yes, Bots will appear regardless of the business model used. However, F2P has the highest amount of them, so this is a con of going F2P over B2P. With sufficient-enough protection they don’t affect the player-base enough to the point of concern. But the more popular a game is, the more incentive a 3rd-party will have to go above & beyond to bypass all security measures and keep their services running for this game.
