[Poll] ET Archer Builds 🏹

I`ve already made threads about Archer Meta Builds, but this one I want to focus only on Earth Tower.

So tell me which build do you think is the best build for Archers on ET and why?

These are builds already mentioned on other topics but you can suggest another one:

3 has been “fixed” to not work with snipe from what I’ve read, but cannon is a fine replacement for musket in it.

1 is the best assuming you have party built to help you (chrono and krivis melstis, and cryochrono or others making walls etc). without dedicated setup the one that shines most is 2 being true aoe and a step up from 4 as cannon offers more than wugu c3. 3 with cannon and 4 are about even. this is taking into account potential aoe damage.

I thought they only fixed it on KToS.

From these ones that I listed, number 2 is my favorite too!

ET parties will often have a cryochrono, in that case even without a krivis for melstis. 1 will be at least even with 3 and 4. also, keep in mind 3 is more of a pick one target at a time and easier to do the bosses with, but a lot of its aoe participation comes in longer cooldowns.

well idk… from these guys, I like cannon the best… the skills/gameplay seems way more awesome =D

ya, i just mentioned where 1 was if it didnt have full party support. still in your situation expecting at least melstis not to be present, I would go with build 2.

some people say canoner is bad for pve due cd and the lack of crit chance , so i don’t understand is wugushi canoner good or bad?

Heard that too… But I think its only related to the QS3 build.

Im between these 3 builds:
A2 QS3 SR2
A3 Wugu2 Falco1 Cannon
A2 Sap2 Wugu2 Cannon

If we see the incoming or recently added change to retreat shot of kToS, then QS3 should be replaced with R3 (which a fully invested SR2 for ET with party built to maximize retreat shot took place and appeared to be much better for SR2 than QS3).

3rd build is your staple pure aoe build, but wugu 2 gives it some decent 1target damage in small groups.

build 2 is what I would suggest personally flavor for me wins out, drop A3 for R1 (steady aim and barrage beat A3 by quite a bit since multishot is at its best time:damage ratio at lvl 10). I would also say could drop falconeer for some more damage since cannon and wugu2 provide some aoe. could go rogue for example (while this doesnt help wugu poisons, the sneak hit crit chance vastly helps all your other damage especially since cannon loves crit chance with those big base damage numbers, that and feint+barrage is strong and capture is wonderful with party support – currently bugged so lvl 1 can capture any number)

The SR build is actually still the top DPS build for archer for ET even without melstis. It won’t be as good as SR in ktos obviously, since they have stronger SA, but it’s still one of the best ET build.

The other path is A2QS3SR2. You’ll have less AoE damage (lack of steady aim and ranger skills), but you’ll have pavise for utility and running shot for single-target.

Any build that has falcon in it is strong, because every ET party will have at least 1 wiz3 (usually 2). Circling + Magic Missile just wipes mobs in ET quickly.

As for “Archer2 Sapper2 wugu2 cannon1”, theoretically, it’s strong cause it has many AoE, but the lack of AoE ratio might be a problem. Personally, if you wanna go ET with r7 class, you need to go falconer, otherwise it just suc.ks.

You shouldn’t be giving advice if you have no idea what you’re saying. Dropping falconer will just makes your r7 skills hits less targets and thus, do less damage overall. sneak hit is useless, cause you need to be behind the mobs in order to utilize the skill, and using barrage on a group of mobs is just asking for suicide.

Which build are you refering to? A2 R3 SR2?

the feint/barrage is still some aoe even if you dont get up on melee range, and sneak hit is for bossing. don’t say i dont have any idea when i was just simply giving an alternative suggestion. either way A2 R1 is stronger than A3 simply for steady aim, even if you can multi-hit the barrage.

based on my original wording I say to drop A3, but I say you could drop falconeer, which we see as an option not as in something I was saying was better. essentially this option drops aoe support for more relevant 1 target damage that they can use for other things than ET and for the floors with bosses.

Good ET builds may include any of the top AOE skills and combos from archer tree that can be used on a reasonable cooldown:

Feint + Barrage
Broom Trap
Wugong gu
Multi Shot + Circling
Cannoneer + Circling (god too much mobs in there, 10 aoe ratio is nothing really…)

Yeah it’s been “fixed” in KToS so that if you use an auto attack while Retreat Shot buff is on it gets instantly cancelled. But it still works for us here in IToS.

But anyway, it’s more of a single target burst thingie, Retreat Shot alone is the powerful SR AoE. Using a (non running shot) auto attack is useful for slwoing down the movement and securing more hits without a wall though.

Both build, although A2R3SR2 will have stronger retreat shot compared to the A2QS3SR2 one.

This thread is specifically for ET, and you didn’t mention that they’re for “things outside ET” in your previous post, which is irrelevant to the topic anyway.

Besides, swapping Falconer with Rogue will hardly makes a difference towards your single target dps. Most of your damage will comes from wugushi, which can’t crit, and you should have decent crit rate in the first place cause you can’t rely on rogue’s sneak hit on the dps check floors.

On the other hand, you’ll lose a lot of AoE potential. Your cannoneer skills can only hit 4-5 targets out of 15 mobs/wave at 1F (first dps check floor), and the number becomes higher as you go to the higher floor. On 6F (2nd dps check floor), there will be 27 mobs on first wave, and 20 mobs for every wave after. So it’s not something that you can just mitigate with “AoE attack ratio”. You’ll also lose out on the circling + magic missile combo, which is very broken atm.
