im player world of warcraft, and there we make alot quest for up, in serve Saule is impossivel to make grind and dont exist much quest, pls make more quest, i think is better.
Or at least increase the amount of mob to grind.
No sorry, we dont want a game like WoW. Grinding is easy on this beta up to⌠level 130-150? then it becomes horrible.
Maybe you should, ya know, go out of your usual way and just explore?
They stated, that they would encourage and reward exploration. And they do!
The game just doesnât hold your hand and no one seems to realise this.
There are a lot of high level Areas just next to a low level Area.
But because there isâ no Main-Quest line you probaply donât even think about going there.
There are a lot of Side Quests though, most of them Feature a pretty well written âMini-Storyâ. You know theyâre hidden!
So just explore everywhere you can go, not just the Main Quest area.
If you get to level 100+ you even get even MORE hidden Side-Quests in already completed areas!
Iâm level 104 and i just got a very high-level Quest from Knight Titas.
This wonât remove COMPLETLY the grinding, but you donât have to grind a whole lot of levels.
Just explore.
You wonât be disappointed.
This game definitely is not the type that takes a week to get to max level because quests baby sit you the whole way. Also this game really isnât the type that you need to get to max level to actually enjoy the game. Those games have become really old really fast.
I call bs.
Basically all I did until the day before yesterday where I reached lvl124 was explore, no grind and no farming. And I was quite disappointed.
I was on all the maps from lvl1-137 so far.
I found a few keys and a few chests too. One chest gave 3 lvl5 exp cards, the others either cosmetics or weapons.
I saw several instances of lvl50, 90, 130 and another 100~ish.
But Iâll come to that later again.
First off, there is no big âexplorationâ to speak of.
Most maps donât offer anything big for you to find, nor do they directly reward you for looking at all corners of the maps thoroughly.
You do get rewarded with quests for taking a look at each area of each map by getting quests from (usually) 1-2 âNPCsâ per area. Which can be anything, from a stone to a person to a bucket that gives you the quest(s).
But itâs basically just you checking fast in each section if there is a NPC or not.
And all of these âexplorationâ tours are done within the maps that you are required to be on at your current level anyway (=currentlevel+10).
You will search in vain for hidden passages, puzzles or secrets.
The only things you find are NPCs that you are supposed to find anyway in order to even be able to level via the Exp cards they give.
Here, this is the âlevelingâ/questing route you need to take to reach +120:
- West Siauliai woods - Tenet Garden(+Crystal Mine 1F-3F;+Chapel 1B-2F)
- Veja Ravine - Zachariel Crossroads(+Royal Mausoleum 1F-5F)
- [Side-quest route]Gytis Settlement Area - Tenants Farm
- Stele Road - Fedimian Suburbs(+Mage Tower 1F-5F)
- [Side-quest route]Kateen Forest - Sunset Flag Forest
- Starving Demonâs Way - Apsimesti Crossroad(+Main Chamber)
Optional: Instances (Suckish loot, no exp)
Optional: Mausoleum Chapel - Mausoleum Storage (suckish equip sets from Shooter Boss, at least lots of mobs)
Optional: Mine Lot 2 (okayish farmspot for Crystal Fragments that can be traded in for Pots, lots of mobs and more suckish equip from Kubas boss)
Optional: Party Quests at Mercenary in Fedimian(meh exp and cosmetics)
Pretty straightforward, isnât it?
There are repeatable quests (Green)
Sid-quests(Blue)
and the main quests(Golden)
but they are all part of a linear path.
More often than anything else during my exploration I found paths or objects that I was hoping for to be passages, interactable or anything else remotely of interest but was left disappointed to find out that they were nothing of the sort. The only time you find anything interactable at all is when itâs part of a quest. And when you know that, then you simply have to look for the corresponding NPC nearby.
The only times that Iâve been positively surprised up until now through exploration of the map were
-> when I entered the Main Chamber and saw something that might have resembled a puzzle with lights having to be lit, a statue that needed to be rotated and some objects to interact with. Still curious about that one.
-> when looking at the Mausoleum Chapel and itâs altar interactions that affect the map through buff/preventing collapse/etc.
I also liked the altars at the Altar Way a lot, but I donât consider that part of the exploration. Thinking back on it, there really isnât any part where I would say that I only stumbled upon that or that I only found it cause I was out exploring, only a routine of going through a check list of all the maps in a chronological order by the level requirements.
So where does that leave the exploration at?
i think its not good, some places have mobs a lot⌠and like thefluffysplicer said, we have a lot of side-quests to help us, Just Explore
Whew.
You beat me. I got nothinâ atm.
It MAY sound pretty straight forward but a lot of player just stay at the Main Quest Area, not even knowing about other Areas.
I hope you still had fun with the game though.
I actually expect too that theyâre adding even more exploration stuff among other things.
I just trust IMC.
The grinding is fun, come on
I just think maps are too mobbed with 2 or 3 kinds of monsters (the way until LVL 80,at least)
The quest system is the easiest way to measure advancementâŚ
I pray the devs will add more explorable content and let us choose where to go when final game arrives
Yeah, I know thatâs where you were coming from. People asking for grinding spots or where to go can be seen in the global chat all the time. Theyâll find the spots for the quests eventually (or grind themselves to death muhaha).
But I remember every single of IMCâs announcements and interviews for the game clearly, including the one where they said that they would make the game heavily exploration based.
And claiming that the game is heavily exploration based just gives off a wrong impression of the game after what Iâve experienced from it so far.
Interesting.
Out of mere curiosity, what is that trust based on?
Are you sure itâs trust and not indifference?
If you are enjoying yourself playing the game, other things might seem less relevant to you at the time. It can lead to misinterpretations of your feelings.
Just saying.
The grinding is not fun thereâs no enough monster you run more than you kill, as a lvl 123 i can tell you after tennet chappel nothing is fun about grinding.
âOptional: Instances (Suckish loot, no exp)â
Level 90 instance drop: Arde dagger. Suckish yeah.
Level 50 instance: From level 54-56 in 1 run, suckish lol.
I am following this game for quite a while now.
Like way before the first KCBT even.
All i had to get interested in ToS was mostly Text based, and whenever i could get a glance at the Artstyle i was just happy and hyped. My trust is mostly Emotional i guess.
Due to work i couldnât play the last ICBT and just got a lot of hype and stuff from a friend of mine.
This is the first time i could actually experience the game for myslef. And i LOVE it so far.
I adore the artstyle, i like the combat, i like that they hide quests from you and donât pressure you into every Area. I like how there are High level areas just next to you and you just get a KICK in the face and youâre all like âShoulda known better, gotta come here laterâ
But what i really love âbout this game isâ the class system and how you can interact with other players.
I guess i donât have anything to say 'bout the class system.
With interactions with other players i mean classes like Alchemists, Squires and Pardoner and i hope there are some more coming. There can be so many Players on your screen and all of them could have different builds.
Theres so much abpout this game i donât know where to start and that makes me really trust into IMC, that this game will be great when they release it.
Sure this game has cons right now. I agree, iâm not satisfied with some aspects either but i am sure that thereâs still features and things coming. Itâs not called beta for no reason.
I also think that this game will be in development for a while so iâm not giving up on hope that certain things will happen.
I just trust IMC.
I have played a lot of MMOs and i was disappointed by most of âem.
But this one isâ none of them so far.
I second this, better to give a goal through quests than letting people imagine how much X numbers of mobs they should farm to level up. It can become a mental barrier.
And for people saying âjust exploreâ that is not true, there many areas where there is NO subquests or not enough and youâve to grind like 5+ level to be able to move to next zone.
So yeah, the game need more sub/repeatable quests, thatâs a fact.
You can do the lvl 50 instance and lvl to 70 in 15 runs. Thatâs 3 days, and inbetween you just do the quests you would do anyway. After that you have like 200 lvl 3 exp cards and you can easily use them to reach lvl 77. Then you quest on until your exp curve resets at 86. Then you do the same as before with the lvl 90 instance. There is no grind. Not until way later.
No its not. I havent have to grind once, and Iâm level 84 rnow.
I respect when people take the time to try to put their true feelings into words.
I feel very similarly about the game as you do.
Still doesnât prevent me from criticizing parts of it like there was no tommorrow.

I have to agree, i was walking through Klaipedia with my level 27 Cryomancer and found a place with level 80 mob. LIKE WTH???
And there is one at Crystal Mine with level 100 mob. Not expecting that.
like that, im lvl 30 and my next main quest is a place with mob lvl 70 wtf? all i want is quest following your lvl, because we need to stop and make 5 hours or more grind, this is boring, im a fan of ragnarok but when i played I do not work and I know many who will play this game now has a job just like me and have limited time to play, the quests could make you explore everywhere. what I mean is for them to put the maps with a certain level you can pick up on it as well so you can go to another map, because you are on a level map 10 and already jumps for a 5 or 10 more than yours.
obs: so sorry for my english, is very bad. rs
man i dont want a game like wow, but I do not want to waste an entire day doing grind, in the same place, killing only killing killing, the more quest, more places to explore without having to kill 12047124097507213589217057120 enemies to get there .
