Right now it only scales up the physical damage, so I ends up having to acquire and +5 a rod just to have better magic attack.

I agree because some advanced classes like Devdirbys require both physical and magical attacks, Carve is a physical skill while Owl Statue depends on magical attack, so it’ better to have both of them to be flexible
Good thing you can swap multiple weapons. I disagree on this change
Except in case of Cure or other constant damage skill, swapping weapon make those skill do less since the damage calculation is based on your current stat, not stat when you cast.
So if I use rod for higher m.atk to cast cure, then switch to mace, I only got the higher attack for only a few ticks.
But if I don’t swap it, my melee swing while cure is going on will hardly do any damage since rod have 0 physical damage.
