Please don't listen to the casual players

It’s feedback and if anything during CBT is the best time for this kind of feedback. When progress is going to get wiped and deleted anyways it’s the best time to discuss exp rates when nothing has been decided yet since tinkering with exp rates won’t screw over people who have gotten further into the game. Just the fact that there’s this many topics and people discussing it shows that even within the small group of people that made it into the beta there it would be a matter worth looking into.

Sure, but I think the exact same feedback in this much mass, with most forgetting that it likely will change is useless at this point.IMC themselves has acknowledged that they are aware the EXP rates are an issue. If they know it’s an issue, that means they’re likely going to improve on it.To me,that should be end of story. What else is there to discuss about it that hasn’t already been said countless times?

All I’m doing is reminding people that post like this is absolutely what is gonna be in the game, and act like features that aren’t even there [or are just in the test] are going to ruin the game, that they need to be patient and trust that our issues will be resolved. There’s nothing wrong with that.

They still need to rework the content but yeah leveling feels great… once you get into the flow of the game.

This is what i said on of my latest post… Exp shouldn’t be the discussion… for me and For several people that got to play the game even for more time that me… Exp is Ok the flow is great. the problems are on the content.

It takes roughly 1 minute to get from level 1 to level 2. By the time you are around level 35 it takes you between 1-2 hours to get 1 level depending on whether you’re in a party or not and where you’re grinding. This is an increase of 8,900%. Continuing at that rate, at level 500 it would take roughly 2,119 hours to gain 1 level. That’s 2 and a half months of non-stop 24/7 grinding for 1 level. That’s not elite or hardcore or pro, that’s suicidal.

gotta love skewed data xD it took me less than 2 hours to get to 40 when i was 38 and i wasn’t even optimally grinding on that map i was primarily chatting.

If it took 1 person less than an hour and 10 people an hour, using the data of the 1 person would be the skewed data. So no, mine is unskewed.

meh… people that can’t understand game mechanics and talking about them… :joy:
you are only showing ten people got no idea how to play an mmo…

" i have reached cap in TERA very first with my warrior and got the title for it (took me 2 days of straight grinding)" This is exactly what i dont want to happen lol. If it can take you 48 hours to get to cap, I wont be playing this MMORPG at all. Capping should take AT LEAST 1 month for someone playing 10-12 hours a day

Also, they wont sell gear on the cash shop. That is pay2win and the dev is completely against it.

@Masamune It took me 4 hours getting from 30 to 41, so add me on the “skewed” data please.

LOL THEY AREN’T AS FAST/DON’T HAVE AS MUCH FREE TIME AS ME SO THAT MEANS THEY DON’T KNOW HOW TO PLAY GAMES.

And you are only showing that you’re an ass so we shouldn’t take your opinions seriously.

In the version we just finished playing the EXP required to level increases immensely whereas the experienced gained from kills does not. It would genuinely take hundreds of uninterrupted hours of breakneck grinding to reach one half of the projected level cap.

The rates were not fine and the game cannot be designed exclusively for players who can’t remember the last time they felt direct sunlight.

??? dude you talking about unexistant data and yet you try to be on top? :joy:
keep it coming

“Here’s some data.”
“NOPE. I DENY YOUR DATA. IT DOESN’T EXIST. I DID IT FAST SO ANYONE WHO DIDN’T DO IT FAST IS LYING OR DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO PLAY GAMES.”

Yeah, I’d rather talk to a brick wall than stay here and punish myself by talking to you about the many reasons you’re wrong.

Facepalms… a suggestion… next time you try to argue about something in some elses post… get information something to the table… not just empty attacks… that doesn’t help on this community.

Did you sleep 5 minutes a day?

First of all - sorry for any mistakes, English isn’t my native language.
I personally love how so-called “casuals” trying to argue with one of the most stupid argument:
“we have life/gf/family/jobs/etc and we can spend 1 h on a game, if u can spend more then us -> you are no-lifer/hikki/living with mom/etc”
Guys don’t be silly. I have amazing job, family and i have time for like ~20 hours of playing in a week easily.
Still i prefer rates that were on a beta-test over any other.
Why?
Coz i don’t want to hit level cap in a month and leave game after that, coz that “endgame” content isn’t enough to keep me in game.
I personally old RO player and to hit 98->99 i’ve killed ~44k anolians
Know what? i had fun in trying new tactics, farming with party, chatting with my in-game friends in a midst of my farm

A little bit of facts and statements:

  1. Every single MMO (except pure social) is about grind. Every. You grind in every game to gain charachter progression, better items or w/e you need to feel good. Deal with it.
  2. Take BDO (black desert) for example. They’ve changed their exp rates like “casuals” wanted. Now it’s game that lost a big amount of players.
  3. To solve most problem with exp - find a party, you’re “have life” after all. Means your social skills higher than we, “hardcore hikkies” have, doesn’t it?

It seems there is no compromise in this argument. I heard a lot of suggestions, with the same rates, but can do it in other methods other than just killing stuff. Rather than argue about this forever, why not come up with suggestions to not make grinding feel like a dead end job and at the same time, not make it too easy to get to cap levels? There are a lot of us, and a lot of sources for ideas.

Too bad I don’t know how quoting works here, anyway, detreimentoeterno, you said
“next time you try to argue about something in some elses post… get information something to the table… not just empty attacks… that doesn’t help on this community”
Yet your very first post, the one that started this thread, is nothing more than an attack towards people you call “casuals”, you don’t bring ANYTHING to the table either, all you do is repeat the same thing other people do “DONT RAISE THE EXP PLOX” with no arguments for it, damn hypocrite
