That’s seems like a logical assessment. Though I don’t know if this iCBT was what their original normal rate will be.
so much troll lolollololol
Not to mention the amount of time they have to play a game, does anyone else here work full time or study lol???
What happened to people just accepting a game for how it’s designed? Players nowadays seem to think developers need to cater to their preferences and force pressure for changes. I think this mentality contributes greatly to why most games nowadays are the way they are (linear, unappealing, identical).
It doesn’t matter if you’re a casual player or not. Leave the game how it is, and you as a player find a casual or hardcore approach to the game. It’s not like there’s only one acceptable play-style. Stop focusing on endgame. Developers put too much effort into many aspects of a game for players to just rush to max level and merely complain about pace and content.
Please focus on contributing towards how to improve the game itself, not how it’d make gameplay more convenient for you by dumbing it down.
Feedback is contributing to the improvement of the game.
One time you want it to stay as is the second, you want it to improve. You can’t improve if you do not change.
Uh, except the whole point of the tests is to give feedback so the devs can make the game better. If we were just going to “accept everything as it is” and not give any feedback, there would be no point to beta tests and we’d already be playing the full version of a buggy unbalanced game with spotty translation.
Though I’ll admit that due to the lack of clarity, my initial post does seem like it contracts itself. I meant to express that the subject in question (exp rates) should be identified as an accommodation, rather than feedback for improvement for the game. I’m all for feedback of bugs, suggested improvements on game-significant mechanics, and etc. There is no catering for bugs and the like, as those are issues that must be addressed.
To elaborate, this game already has a built foundation. I would like to believe that the “grindy” aspect is a part of said foundation. It’s something that allows a player to widen their perspective of this game, be it through exploration of the game world, mechanics, or play-style. Unless this poses a serious issue to the game in a significant way, it should be left alone.
From my perspective, as someone who does work full time and need to make time for my personal life away from gaming, the rates from iCBT1 are not an issue (should they be official). I don’t need to be the first 1000 to reach level cap, nor do I feel any rush to get geared before majority of the population. Regardless, I’ll still find myself somewhat keeping up with the majority of the population without much difficulty. Does this mean I am not competitive and can’t understand how others who also don’t have much time feel? Absolutely not. But I’m not going to ruin gameplay experiences for those who do have the time, just so I can keep up. The amount of time I have for a game is my issue alone, and I am not entitled to have the developer accommodate me at the expense of others.
TL:DR, I would not consider mere feedback for higher exp rates due to not liking the grinding aspect of a game as “feedback”. If anything, they seem more like requests for accommodation, rather than suggested improvements for the game as a whole.
Are you saying that experience gain is not a significant mechanic of this game?
Dude, casual players are part of the community. Don’t ever disregard them.
yout lvl on icbt?
some about 10?
Whales don’t only exists in P2W games League is an example most of the Whales buy Cosmetic stuff… i’m a whale and i enjoy supporting the companies by buying their new stuff even if i’m not into cosmetic stuff or ingame looks… playing mmos take time most whales aren’t the casual players that play 2 times a week most of the whales are the players that are there to buy boosts everytime they run out and similar stuff if you really Think Whales are only in P2W games you clearly haven’t really Played a game in a while.
yeah aurunia … sorry if i’m being rude but Can you read english? no they didn’t said that in that post, they Said “we took notice on the discussion regarding the exp and we are gonna take that info as a input about it”… "we are seeing some people are talking about exp… we aren’t the kr sever that’s why we don’t use the kr server rates they 've a different rate due to their service already being stablished… so comparing is a waste of time.
and Exp is as intended some people may not level fast enough because they don’t do the subquests on every map…

Haha ya sure looks like you are most likely the “young generation” if you are refering to a game like League! You know what a whale in games is? They only DO exist in P2W games - ToS will probably NOT be a P2W game. Whales ego gets fed by buying stuff wich makes them stronger and shining above any other players and getting attention! Item Shop gets updated every Month with new things for a whale to buy and make him even more stronger. Thats all ya need to know about Whales. Buying cosmetic is what you call a Whale? xDDD Tons of casuals are buying Cosmetic stuff so you kinda disproved your own statement. By calling others “casuals” you think yourself as a “Pro” or “hardcore player”? You are probably one of the teenagers who watch streams on Twitch of real Pro gamers and dream to be like them - if you grind tons of exp in a none Pro game like ToS wich is only created for bringing joy to the cummunity! And nostalgic people who loved playing Ragnarok for years!
i’m not saying they don’t exists in P2W games but many of those games aren’t around for long… and nice projection kiddie boi
i barely watch streams most of the ones i do watch are FGC ones…
Whales have changed over the time Not many P2W games shine on The western market… So now making Dressses for your characters… cause that’s what they are is what makes the most profit for Freemium games.
and i’ve been playing games for Longer than you… so please shh. kiddie…
You would make a perfect whale - if your ego gets hurt you gotta buy “something” to help you out of an awkward situation - sadly you can’t buy upgrades on forum to bring in weft arguments so you have to come up with this to defend yourself.
Scroll up and please read - i said whales ONLY exist in P2W games - if you call a guy who spends 100 dollar on cosmetics per month a whale then…oh god you never met the people that i did on P2W games wh ospend 10000$ above each month - just to be the “best”
I usually spend around 100-200$ a Month on games - does this make me a whale or a Pro gamer? Guess not. So again you disproved your own statement.
My first MMORPG back in the good ol days been DAoC just for the record. And your comments truely show that you never even played Ragnarok.
And to add one thing - your topic says “please dont listen to the casual players” - you are a casual player yourself so we should Not be listening to you?! thanks for the warning but the topic already showed this to all of us. xD
Damn bro… i see nothing logical that refuted my point on that wall of Nothing you just posted…
Freemium games Which are the games that stay around Alive and with revenue, Live thanks to these Whales who buy all the new stuff… denying that as as fact just shows how delusional you are… P2W games are only relevant on Asian Countries do to their Elitists way of gaming… and Daoc was your first MMO… Kiddie indeed…
To be fair DAOC is pretty old in MMO terms. Your posts are way too trolly to be taken seriously.
Games stay alive cause of the awesome community and the support of ALL players. If all of our community was like you ToS would have no future at all xD You know that 5000 people spending 10$ a month adds up more than one guy spending 3000? Do the math. And thats just for the P2W ones. Games wich only focus on cosmetics won’t see such big spenders at all. P2W games “forces” the big ego customers to buy more and more and more. Oh ya and since you dont know about DAoC - i started playing MMORPGs at around 2000. Now you got some attention with your troll Thread - you can go to bed in peace and keep dreaming of being a Pro Player.
Daoc may be old but that doesn’t make him an old MMO player lol.
bashing someone for mentioning league… now that’s trolly i don’t even play that game i was talking about their revenue and how it works for them… thanks to people getting cosmetics and boosts constantly
ok ok, just sayin daoc is no spring chicken. Did you play UO or Runescape?
