Please, allow new players event able to veterans too

Hi there,
I am playing tos since beta, and still here, strong and confident! But…the last events, doesn’t make sense for me, at all.
First of all, why create a helpfull boost up event only for new players?? Why invest in players that will stay in game for 1-2 months?(not all of them, but most of them). Why cannot make thsi type of event open for all? Would not be this wise? I mean, i prefer giving some to a friend of mine, besides a total stranger.
I fell like i am dumb, i expens hours, money and all the strength that have left to still playing tos(evening the boring atual status of it), but i still do not deserve bonus pack exp…i mean, really?

I am open to listen opinions of it, and wondering a pretty nice clarification, that should be enough!

To be honest, 80% of the “new” players from this event are just alternative accounts made to easily level saalusslaves or practoslaves or have an afk necro on an alternative account. :whitepopolionface:

You invest in “new” players to increase the game’s overall longevity. They have events for current/old players too but the gap between new and old (in this game) is so large that they have to give new players a way to seemingly “catch up” so that they don’t just quit immediately. This is the basic strategy of any free2play mmo. You can’t simply invest all of your time and energy towards the older players or you’ll never grow your base. Players are going to leave games anyway for a multitude of reasons (hit level cap got bored, repetition, lack of interest in the style of game, found a new/better game, etc) so you need to plan for the future. Games that only invest in current players, die of extremely quickly.

They invest in the new players more because the old players know how pathetic the iTos staff are at dealing with our game

This happened to Maple too… at least they realized that putting the cosmetics behind gacha other than a very small few was a bad idea.

sigh… and what about keeping up with the market? klaipeda server, 5 million silver= 1 token
damn this game’s Player base who control the market.

[hi !..yeah, i tried to think of ways to say this without being harsh yet pinpoint clearly what i wanted to convey, nothing came to mind.]

blessed shards are dropping on price eventually to the point they aren’t worth spending your time on to Sell them making it harder to get a token, and how cute, players keep increasing the token already beyond 3 million silver.
i personally feel that going “beyond” 3 million is already abuse for regular players who can’t make that much silver fast
and how can new players get 5 million silver this way ?
it’s depressing.

Running dungeons give a pretty nice $$$ and with the multiplier fron the new players events is even faster… I think I got 4 million in 2 hours (multipliers + instance resets, oh joy!)

The problem, at least in Fedimian is another: NO ONE sells tokens!

And… What’s with all these bots in Klaipeda? Low level areas like Srautad Gorge and Tenet Garden are almost unplayable, with 5 to 8 cleric/priest bots running around! Ugh!

I’m not sure what the market has to do with this topic (since you didn’t really relate it to the point of the post) but I’ll respond.

You mentioned that you feel tokens are too high (on your server) but that’s a player issue moreso than an IMC one. How can new players get 5m? Easily, by playing the game. New players can take advantage of the free 1-week tokens they get to sell more items and make money to save up for a 1-month token. The amount of money you make from actually questing is pretty high so it isn’t like that’s a huge issue.

Once you have a 30 day token, it is pretty easy to make at least 5m a month. Is the token system the friendliest system ever for new players? Hell no. Is it managable? Absolutely.

I know, they have to attract new players, to make the player base grow, and other stuff. But then, eu bring new players(like a friend said in this same topic, the most of them aren’t new players), gave them a ridiculous way to gain level(like, 2 days to take max lvl?), them you do what? What do you espect of them? Theres is nothing enjoyable to do in the max lvls(oh pls, stop saying saalus, earth tower this is game resources content, ans its boring…), pvp?(seriously, there are huge, hugeee problems in the pvp content of this game, balancing, time???, rewards!), ans yeah i know, ita comming some nice stuff for tbl, but when?? Did they prefer new players, because they do not know that things to change here take months? Like, not something new, something needed to players still enjoy. I always defend them, because, rebalance patch has come earlier them i thought, but now, there is nothing in the game to do, i am tired of doing the same stuff, the only thing that i think it will be enjoyable for me, its leveling another char, but them, they gave a ridiculous event, exclusive for new players, new accounts…thats the point.

Investing in new players is not wrong at all, the only real question is why don’t they invest more in bringing back the people that clearly chose the game but are hesitant due to important issues.

Well, this would have been a problem but now it looks like they’re trying with rank resets which was one of the bigger complaints recently.

Where are people pulling these ‘facts’ from anyways? I’d really like some data on where people get the idea that majority of players quit after 1-2 months (which even if it were what’s wrong with that?) or that “80% of the new players are just alternative accounts”. :thinking:

Why create useless threads on the forums? Be right back going to make a thread and I’ll maybe get some answers with some (air quotes) ‘facts’.

In some point its useless, because this will not be read for those who have to read, besides that ita no useless for me.

I know some of tou like atacking freely, like u did right now, but i will not atack will, if we want this, sorry.

I create this thread to understand, see others opinions, get a more clarifying think about this, its important.

I am not the only one with bad thoughts about this game, most of them just quit, but i am still here playing ans wondering if my point of view is the right one, that’s it.

Guys i have to clarify one thing here:

I am not stupid, i know that this game have to bring new players, believe i do, but the point is: would you bring new clients to your shop, knowing that you are not prepared to handle with life time value of them? This is the right thing to do right now?

If you guys have some points, i ask you to bring them here, if you want too…

Please explain to me how logging in allows me to see that the majority of new players quit after a couple months or that most of them are veteran players alt accounts.

Are you friending every low level player and seeing that they don’t login after a while or something? Or are you asking every player if they are an alt account?
