Players with experiences with Hunter come :)

Hi, I’ve NEVER had a build with hunter before, not even as a filler or anything.

I was thinking about making a build that can somewhat utilize hunter (either circle1, 2, or 3). I heard cannoneer is decent with hunter, but I wanna hear your opinions.

I know hunter is in a bad spot right now and the AI is kinda dumb. I just wanna try the “most competent” build with hunter in it (preferrably hunter3, but 2 or 1 are completely OK)

Some popular Hunter 3 builds i have known so far:

  • Hunter 3 - Musketeer 3
  • Hunter 3 - Falconer 3 - X
  • Hunter 3 - Cannoneer 3

For Hunter 1 (filler Hunter) builds, i have seen Hunter 1 - QS 3 - Musketeer 3 (its one of the Ar 3 - QS 3 - Musketeer 3 variants) for better mobbing.

Hunter is a support/crowd controller rather than a dps, my advice is you should pair it with a class having good skill rotation i.e a high rank class with enough dps to rotate within itself and doesnt rely too much on lower ranks offensive kit.
I have a Hunter 3 - Falconer 3 - X character and i truly enjoy it. Hunter 3 is suitable for long and stationary game contents which require mobbing, guarding objects and killing constantly (ET, CM). With Savage bow my Growling becomes the greatest crowd control tool an archer can have and the Clerics in pt dont even need to lay any heal tile for that whole CM run.

Alright thanks. Doesn’t seem like too many people know about hunter. This will have to do: https://tos.neet.tv/skill-planner#311222efff.4a1a245135.1f24453f6185.1121354355.1f2131425a617a85

It really depends on what you’re trying to aim with this build.

If you want to go for a support build and something that can self sustain itself i’d recommed you to take Falconer 3 as it greatly increases your performance as Hunter3. After that you can either choose Mergen or Musketeer depending on what you want, AoE or more sustained single target damage, thought as a Hunter don’t expect to deal a considerate amount of damage as most of its skill pool is made for crowd control and damage flying enemies, and more importantly, your pet won’t last long until getting one shotted by the first hit of a high level boss so try to build them around CON, black rate and magic defense, and if you can afford it invest on its evasion and HP stats via the companion trader.
This is my personal build, and so far it has done a great job for what it was intended:
Please end my suffering

Whatever else i could tell you the friend above already covered it. Good luck! :haha:
