Plans regarding the re-balancing of certain skills =/

Since the merge. This is happening.
Mm throw 3 missles that jump 5 times, so 15 hits.
But link isnt supposed to spread aoe skills, but it is.
So 10 mobs linked * 15 missles = 150 hits.
Every missle hitting for 4000 * 150 hits = 600k dmg on every linked mob.

They tried to fix this, but joint penalty + Hangman knot still make this happen. And links are still spreading aoe dmg, they are just not considering Magic missle internal aoe ratio (it has an internal aoe ratio modifier, just check how it works against 0 aoe defense mobs under Falconer circling).

What are they going to fix? They are going to make JP work like it was b4 the merge, it Will still spread dmg to the linked mobs, but it will only consider the damage 1 target takes if they are all under the same AoE skill or spell. The interaction between jp and single target skills remain unchanged

That’s wrong, they fixed it some time ago and it breaks after it reaches it’s hit count limit.

There were no nerf. It was more like a fix, people just got used to this interaction and thought it was intended. (I even got used, was saving a lot of corpse potions, but this proves it wasnt intended)

You’re right and that’s really weird. I checked it like an hour ago with an unequipped character and had to use 3 magic missiles with 1 into knot, links didn’t break until mobs died. Back then they would break from 1 magic missile. Or maybe it was 2? I certainly remember them to break and that it was not a good idea to use it on 120k mobs.

They are not making it the way it was before, they want to completely break it according to the way they described it will work.

QC + JP + HK + MM is a 4 skill combination including 4~6 ranks combination. I agree it was too overpowered but dumping Linker in the trashcan won’t solve it either.

This nerf was inevitable.

When you have one combo trivializing 95% of PvE content, it’s time for a nerf, or in this case a bug fix.

Then they should just nerf magic bullet instead… simple fix

Interesting to see they plan on nerfing my one damage skill on my Wizard/Alch build.

For a lot of builds they were the only real source of damage as well. I’m sure alchemists will enjoy their choice of picking linker over other classes, after this change.

I’m sorry your level 73 character isn’t overpowered anymore, that must really hurt to lose like 4 hours of your time.

There are no good Alchemist builds, though.

Wtf, they are tweaking mm jp hk interaction and taking JP to how it worked b4 the merge (how it worked with aoe skills), suddenly featherfoots and alchemists are dying.

So before the merge you were that useless?

So they drop this patch and re-balance the skill combination to be clearly more damage than it should have been.

You, for whatever reason, decide, “oh man, I need to abuse the ■■■■ out of this right now” and put the time in to level a w3 linker.

And now you’re mad because they’re fixing it?

So in that context, as long as I can get 7 enemies standing in Flame Ground’s aoe, having mobs linked or not doesn’t matter because I would still need 50 ticks to kill them off?
