No lifer? I built my life arealdy, in a way a can play a lot, my wife likes her life too (priorities ofc, before diving in your hobbies you must build your castle first).

Linker will still be strong, like it was before, you guys are overreacting or are just blinded by the recent changes.

Lol before the merge I couldn’t wipe mobs with 2 buttons xD I had to spend a lot with corpse potions. What are saying bro?

It’s not really working how it worked before the merge.

Right now:

  • Flame ground deals 2k damage per enemy.
  • Link 7 enemies together, cast flame ground on them.
  • Each enemy will share their 2k damage to a total of 7 * 2k = 14k damage per enemy per tick of flame ground damage (obliterate 100k hp enemies in ~8 ticks).

Before:

  • Flame ground deals 2k damage per enemy.
  • Link 7 enemies together, cast flame ground on them.
  • Only one enemy shares the 2k damage, meaning each enemy takes 2k damage per tick (kill 100k hp enemies in ~50 ticks).

Linker is extremely powerful and was included in many popular builds before this interaction was added and discovered, both pure support builds and DPS builds, with and without Wizard3.

If you wanted to be an overpowered Wizard you could’ve just rolled Ele3, but you wanted to be a hipster and still be overpowered and this bugged magic missile link interaction made you feel like a special snowflake. Tough ■■■■, it got fixed. This effects nothing else about Linker. It’s not like any of you dipshits went Wizard3 Linker3 and relied solely on this combo, you’re all going to just take Necro or Featherfoot later and be fine.

I’m just disappointed they felt they needed to make an announcement just for this change. I was hoping they’d be talking about more upcoming balance changes, especially w/ regard to sorely needed buffs to underpowered or outright broken classes. Also physical link is long overdue for a fix.

And linked mobs were rekt to 20%hp by fc even before merge.

1 trick ponies can’t handle it because we’ll they are lol only able to do 1 small combo that requires no skill lol.Furthermore, it wasn’t suppose to do that much damage to begin with.

The whole point of JP was that is was suppose to turn ST damage into AoE damage, it wasn’t suppose to turn AoE damage into AoE Damage^2

Besides, it doesn’t seem like any class is able to solo 280+ content. Instead, you’re suppose to party up with people to make it through those maps.

crystal defense survival map - tos style. nonstop spawning of monsters every second across the whole map until every player is dead.

Oh boy, I get to play the class like it’s intended now instead of it being brokenly overpowered.

Interesting I wonder how the new linker will work it’s a bit ambiguous. Dmg just focused on one target till it dies then jumps to next target? Dmg propagated randomly?

I know I wouldn’t mind hangman knot getting duration rebuffed or magic missile becoming a strong stand alone to help even things out.

You’re all wrong. Right now 2 things with links are not working like they did before.

  1. double damage from simultanious aoe hits
  2. links are unbreakable, with no hit limit
    If they’re not fixing this but something else and I can’t understand what exaclty they plan on fixing or are they even aware of those things, then you might have another sadhu. On 260 someting magic missile with linker 2 into knot used to deal 60k tops, then links would break.

Here am I ignorant about the op mm+jp. Don’t have any wiz3+link class…

Just curious, when did we get this “bug”? Is this that kind of thing that already existed from the very start but was just kept being overlooked by the developers?
