Its the player problem being useless. Not the class. I saw many cata-dragoon build and doppel are super strong. Unlike forum QQ players. They are not useless, just harder to master.

Well that’s how link worked before. If all 7 mobs are in the AoE they will take the AoE damage normally, and the same will happen if some mobs are inside and some outside (while linked).

For AoE spells without AoE attack ratio, link just made the AoE area “bigger”, not stronger. But for single target skills or skills with AoE attack ratio limitations, it would make the total damage higher (because you’d be able to hit more mobs at once than you ever could without the link).

Essentially yes, but you can link them and spread your fireball damage, or any single target spells. You know, just like how it is intended for?

Did I miss something, because Magic Missile is (multi) target, and not defined as aoe? Unless done as an intentional nerf before, it makes no sense to define it as aoe.

Then why nerf Magic Missile, since its currently working as intended?

If we’re going back to iToS’s old version of linker which kToS never has experienced. Magic missile will function similar to an AoE. There was a 2nd hit or two you got even on iToS but it was similar to casting it raw.

Well I think what they meant is, they intend to nerf the interaction of magic missile + joint penalty. Not nerf magic missile alone.

Magic missile is not AoE, it shoots out a fixed number of bullets. Just like how split arrow and oblique shot is not AoE. They always hit the same amount of targets regardless of how many AoE ratio you have

They never nerf magic missile. They fix the JP interaction, basically with all the skills that hit more than 1 targets

Currently (the bugged version) increase your damage by X fold on linked targets, where X is the amount of targets your skill hit. And magic missile hit 15 targets, so it is increased by 15 folds, and that should not happen.

I figured as much. That’s kind of lame tbh.

No, because it targets specific targets, not an area.

That’s not bugged. It’s likely caused by Magic Missiles not being defined as AoE. (due to the database merge with kToS?)

Yeah if its an aoe, which originally, it was not.

Multi-target is not the same as aoe~

Not only MM, you can do that with JP + any true AoE skills. You can increase flame ground damage by 10 folds that way too (JP + HK + skill)

I have a linker from before the merge and after the merge the damage just skyrockets that way
