Kill stealing has been around for a very long time, and I would assume it would be rid of by the time Tree of Savior came by. If there’s anything that can be done about the annoyance of people kill stealing others, that’d be great.
In this world it’s kill or be killed, you baka.
On a serious note. Monsters are in such an open area and there are so few channels because they won’t open more than one in each town that there is just going to be kill stealing. The game is new and fresh and every person has quest to complete so they need to kill to do that. You can’t hog the only map were one monster spawns with there only being one channel just because you think you own it.
This is New York, you either go fast or get out of the way. My only opinion on kill stealing.
As a lvl100+ (Str/Dex) priest, that is often solo because no one wants to party me, This needs changed. I can’t tell you how rage inducing it is to try and kill a mob for a quest, only to have some swordsman come through and one-shot it. On average, it takes me 8-12hits with Blessing+sacrament to kill a mob. When asked to stop, of course the KS’ers response is to continue KSing the whole room making sure I never get a kill.
The way exp and Kills count in this game needs to be changed so this BM can stop. There is only one CH atm, and the respawn rate of mobs is too low imo.
Pretty sure they’ll be upping the mob spawn rate. Way too many zones suffer from lack of mobs.
Could be like in guild wars 2?

The amount of KS is just insane, if I have more than 2 mobs someone will for sure kill steal it.
Can’t use a few of my skills because of that (Taunt Swash Buckling/Umbo blow) makes the game extremely frustrating.
Can’t wait for release, run fraps and report everyone.
And then I can get reported because you’re being a total idiot, running away from crap you taunted and not expecting me to kill them to save you, thinking you’re probably a sliver from dead.
If only there was such a thing as “first hit=wont take damage from others. Except party embers or companions”.

It’s a bit frustrating that you wont get the kill, when someone kills an mob of swiftly, after you damaged it alot.
I’m just lucky that my Pyro Linker has an incredible low time to kill, when i use link+fireball or flame ground as combo.
My swordy got heavy crits.
My archer heavy multishot spamm and criting like no tommorow.
But still, i would enjoy that “sdont touch my mobs” system … and 5 mins after update. People will cry about others mobbing 10 or so mobs, then killing them efficiently off. “They could have already respawned! Mobber!”.

Have an party witht he people who do the quest together. (easily found, many times you just need to ask in chat at the beggining of a quest chain [like mausuleum, worked well … till we hit the level wall of 2f xD.).
Or you got friends to play with.

You can get mad if you want, but if I pissed off a mob of things and was about to die, I’d run too. I’ll go and save you, because losing your gems and durability is easily worse than losing half the EXP on a handful of mobs.
or u can also add report option when right clicking player…so they will be intimidate a bit…hahaha
Between the wonky ranged targetting system, the map designs, and how some skills work; preventing kill stealing is impossible. Especially when you factor in how crowded the maps are. It will cost them a fortune in manpower to police this issue, money better spent on developing the game. They just need to make it so anyone who hits the mob gets credit, xp, and drops. @Akyna is right, GW2 did this perfectly.
But… This sort of already happens.concerning experience. Drops seem to be first-hit. Quest rewards seem to be last hit, though.
Yeah right now I can’t even play the game beccause of how little monsters there are to kill in said areas. basically all of the 70-80 areas I went to had like 1-5 enemies per room in them. Kind of ridiculous right?
Only party members should be able to attack a monster a player is attacking, as long as he’s not idle or hasn’t attacked the monster in a long time.
Being a Tank or a Support class slowly killing something only for some scrub HIghlander to come and KS you is complete bullshit, even more considering you need the last hit to complete a quest. Yesterday some idiot even did it purpose, there were a lot of monsters around but he came and KS’d me because why not? I guess. This happens all the time.
I blame this trash community though, most of the players don’t even care.
Drops are not first hit. Speaking from experience.
Yeah I agree, most of the time when I use swash buckling to Aggro the mobs, some Highlander always shows up, charges up and boom!!!

Do a farm party of 5 people no one ks you then.monsters on the map are for all the people that 25 lvls up from the monster.no one taking it from you as it never was yours in the first place.
There places that no one farm in you just need 2 look for it.i fined som from time 2 time.
As for all the solo healers and tanks you can play the way you want. No one saying you way will work.
Tanks and healers need a party. Must have a party.
But bsning people for just playing the game is BS.dont make this game lol.or you want 2 be reported for any small thing you do?
