Some players are afk farming in lower level areas with their high level pets that can instantly kill respawns near them. They don’t even need to hold their keys. This D-bag in the screenshot has been standing there for at least a day. He was there this morning and is still there now after midnight. I didn’t report him though since he seems to be just a normal player looking to make some free silver while he’s not playing. However, this kind of behavior should not be encouraged, especially when begging for likes in huge fonts. It’s so lame. IMC should make it so monsters yield no silver or xp when they die to pets solely.

by your logic bots and z holders should be allowed too because there are so many channels and you can always find mobs to kill. Beside I’m not really complaining. I’m just trying to raise IMC’s awareness and remind them that this is something abusable.
There’s going to be one on every channel unless people start complaining about it enough.
I’ll add people like that on my block list, so I’ll get less chances of ending up in the same party (I assume blocked players can’t send me pt invites) and trade with them.
Lmao I saw him and thought “I hate people with caps…” Then I proceeded to magic missle everything for bout an hour and a half. ( was leveling myself) there was another one in the back room. With a pet named Showmethemoney. •face palm• it’s a simple fix. Pet does 100% damage = 0 drops/Exp.
On a side note I saw at least 20 different people doing this. It is a problem.
by my logic, yes i dont condemn Z holders,neither do i condemn pet afkers.

botting isnt part of the game mechanic.
these afkers arent even taking up the whole map.
not to mention the pet isnt a fast killing companion too.
there is a delay for them to react.

then many ppl would complain you as monster hogging.
that is also something players who can only kill 1 mob at a time,hates.

u wont lose that many monsters to a afker anyway.at most 1-4 out of ur whole group of lure/full room monster count.
This is a counter to all Dirt Bags make a Cyro learn Ice wall spend some time push them out of the spawn area. ( best Push them to portal. )

Pet is slow.
If for exp: questing / leveling would be 100 times faster.
If they get higher level to survive afk on the long run the exp penalty is even worse.
But it’s always ‘funny’ to see how people play games to avoid playing the games.

Yeah… that is going to be abused, no doubt, lol… They definitely should do something so that a mob doesn’t yield loot if your pet has done 90-100% of the damage.
I just hope if they consider adding such a thing that they code it correctly. I can see it turning into something dinky where if the pet gets the final blow = mob yields no loot.

First - we NEED official statement is this is allowed or not.
Now -i support idea for this to be allowed

Second - afk kicker need to be implemented - 20 min without movement and you go to lodge.
- (perm) preassing arrow key will be reportable - same as Z-farming, so no more running into the wall while pet farm for you
I know that this method is still abusable -with simplest mouse/keyboard macros that move you a inch every 15 min, but it still a progress

If they wanted to they could completely lock down an entire low lv area just by themselves for the silver. You should be thankful they arent doing that.
To all who are overreacting. No one has to be banned. Just make it so monsters damaged and killed by only the pet yield no silver and xp. For example, if a monster has 1000 hp, and the player deals 0 damage and pet deals 1000 damage, the player gets nothing; if the player does 100 damage and the pet does 900 damage, the player gets awarded as usual. Blizz did something like this for hunters since vanilla wow. It’s really simple and effective. No need for overreacting or panic.
I think any kind of gameplay where you’re not even playing the game is freaking stupid. Just play the game or don’t. Although most mmos seem to allow this kind of thing, buf it there’s enough people doing this that it disturbs your questing, I’d report it outside of the report bot function so maybe they’ll say you can do it but only in certain areas like in those puzzle maps where it doesn’t really matter so much.
Being able to just leave your char there and go on a vacation while it generates money and xp is an issue.
HOWEVER: Introducing restrictions to pets will result in pets having no value.
In example as a sorcerer i wanted to do the hanaming massacre achievement while alt tabbing to watch some crap on youtube.
I was not able to because if my summon kills its not counted towards the achievement. Well done. The class which basically cant do **** other than summoning something to attack, cant use it to complete content.
So for a half hour, nobody on that channel could kill hanamings in the area, because i was playing and i killed them on spawn. It sure was a better outcome ._.

- Restrictions need to be rational, such as disabling drops, xp, everything after extended amounts of no player actions. In example: If the player’s character does not move for lets say 30 minutes, then the pets/summons stop generating xp and drops. Bam, extended afk sessions became impossible, but pets are still useful.
- Frowning on “semi afk” farmers: Makes no sense and should not be encouraged. Please get it in your head: For you nothing changes just because someone’s pet is doing the killing and they are not running around killing them self. There is literally NO DIFFERENCE. In fact, when the pet kills, you still get to have all the other mobs around it. If a player kills, the player will mob, and hoard mobs, and you will have to run around TRYING to find something to kill.
- Sorcerers should be exempt from any afk farming pet changes.They are a class which literally cant do anything other than summoning a pet.
If i get restricted on it, such as kills not counting towards achievements, then it means that my class is not worth ■■■■. FUNDAMENTALLY. - Alternatively you can reduce afk farming by simply creating larger spawn areas. If mobs just spawn all across the map, then there will be no way to afk farm. If you create local spawns where stuff appears on the same frikin square all the time, then do not be surprised when ppl start to camp it with or without pets.
tl;dr: I do not support any hard caps on features such as pets. Solve the issue in an alternative manner, such as expanding spawn locations or adding timers which wont disturb those who maybe take short breaks. Adding a script which prevents drops/xp after 15-30 minutes would already counter those who would literally afk farm while they are not even at home.

Wait when you summon a monster are you unable to use your other spells? Is that how the class functions?
