Pavises and AoE attack ratio

In newest pve content most melee and ranged monsters have some degree of AoE attack ratio. End game gear and attributes also offer players multiple ways for adding some AoE attack ratio to their basic attacks. Therefore, it’s not rare that most physical attacks you receive in both pve and pvp have some degree of AoE ratio.

The problem is that, when you place a Pavise next to you and get hit with an attack with AoE ratio higher than 1, Pavise will only block one single instance of AoE damage. Therefore, you will still receive damage from other instances of AoE damage. Doesn’t matter how well you position your Pavises next to your character, Pavises won’t protect you at all from incoming physical attacks.

I propose changing Pavises to absorb any instances of AoE physical damage when blocking incoming attacks. This would balance Pavises in line with latest pve and pvp content, which relies a lot of in such AoE attacks.

There is no need in quest warping on top of the Pavise. Just stand next to it and, as long as monsters have no AoE attack ratio, you won’t get hit.

The point is that nowadays most monsters and pvp characters have AoE attack ratio higher than one. In this case, no matter whether you position yourself next to the Pavise or on top of it, you will always receive damage from incoming basic attacks, as Pavise won’t block AoE damage instances.
