hello guys. im currently trying to build a cleric. is paladin worth getting if its only C1? or its a C3 or nothing class? i really like the costume of this class so i want it.
for male, only PD and paladin have nice costumes. 
im buildina a cleric>krivis2>paladin3>kabbalist for the costume too xD, but im making a female bcuz i like the female costume more.
i would say get c3 or get none at all, smite is really good dmg, but it isnt that great without conviction.
turn undead actuallt has a good instant kill rate, about 50% chance.
but yeah, get c3

hmmm. the problem is, i have put points in int already. xD
i probably might go that path also but change kabbalist to cleric 2 and just pray for a good r8.
do paladins need to go str? how did you build your stat? 
i actualy put 0 str xD
my stats are
right now im level 150, i made this character 4 days ago, so yeah im leveling pretty fast (faster than my sadhu)
my stats right now are
smite still does good dmg, one shots some monsters, 2 shots others, cometimes overkills mutant/plate monsters (theres a TON of mutant/plate monsters)
for rank 8 im probably going kabbalist c2

this really helped me decide. ima proceed with no str too because it just scaled badly with paladin.

yeah smite and conviction already have high base damage, and when u use smite after conviction smite hits 3 times.
plus int scales good, with zaibas wich is stronger than smite and conviction, plus im getting merkahbah. plus rank 8, which kabbalistis getting a snake

a snake? im curious, its the 1st time i have heard that. is it like a summon too?
idk. some guy data mined a skilll named naschach which means serpent.
but in the bible, moses’ staff became a serpent in egypt. so im guessing its something like ur mace will turn into a snake and you hold onto it (instead of a mace) and ur auto attacks turn into a snake biting stuff.
that would be awesome for chaplains xD
Everyone says Paladin in this game is a piece of sh1t.
it is not that they are a piece of ■■■■… it is just… barrier is a VERY VERY strong skill, usefull in every single pve content.
BUT, barrier scrolls exists. so ppl prefer to buy such scrolls from the market and then bring another class to the party instead.
and without barrier to be taken into account, there is little point into bringing pally’s into your team. theyr dmg i not that great, conviction could be usefull, but not enough for 3 ranks on a build or a spot in high tier groups =\ .
should imc get rid of ■■■■■■■ barrier scrolls, wich should never have existed in the first place, for barrier is the ONLY c3 skill to ne craftable, then the demand fr pally would skyrocket.
they already said something about reworking pardoners, but when or even IF that will ever happen remains a mistery.

yeah thats never going to happen lol, as you can see imc neglects the underpowered cleric classes while trying to nerf the over powered ones, youre supposed to buff the underpowered ones first.
i know theyre negleting the underpowered cleric classes because look at sadhu, that class is probably the buggiest and most underpowered class in the game but there has been minimal changed since EA. they still have the exact same bugs since EA started. its at the point to where we cant even use a certain skill bcuz of a terrible bug that skill suffers from.
they need to really fous on buffing up the classes instad of nerfing classes
yeah… ABE rubberband effect… how not to love sadhu S2.
and you’re right. they shouldn’t focus on enrfing strong classes, only in bringing those underpowered to the same level of wizz3, ele 3, fletcher 3.
they should keep the nerfbat to pvp only…

I believe resist elements % reduction is working now. that means at resist elements lvl 15 you get 37.5% reduced damage from almost every source.
C1 pally will be basically just for restoration aura heal boost and turn undead.

pray to unto the goddess Laima that pardoners dont get to craft barriers in future patches. only then can Paladins shine as the best PvE support.
i hope pardoners get fvcked up yah. if it does happen, then paladin C3s will have a perma slot in ETs, dungeons and possibly grinds?
I don’t really find barrier all that useful. It’s good at ET but that’s it. It’s very very hard to find a good use for it anywhere else… It bugs too much and mobs very often walk through your barrier if you cast near them. Many mobs at higher levels are immune to knockbacks too which make them completely ignore barrier.
