Please fill in as much as you can :

Date and Time : April 27 (After maintainance)

Game Control Mode (Keyboard/Joypad/Mouse) : Keyboard

Where it happened (which map, which quest, which npc, etc) : Attribute Trainers

Bug Description :
Spamming the learn attributes before Clicking all of the “OK” Buttons in rapid succession. Results in an over leveled attribute in the character skill page. It also actually works and is really Overpowered on some attributes.

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. Spam and attempt to learn multiple levels of the same attributes first (Making sure you have more opened uped compared to the maximum attribute level)
  2. Then click in rapid succession the “OK” Buttons
  3. Overleveled attribute can then be noticed on character skill page
  4. And they work too. Specially noticable for Archer Swift Step and other Stat based modifiers like Finestra

Attaching Overriding "Maximum Level" of an Attribute

Edit: forget it, my mistake :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s not true, the price did increase with every click. I tested it in CBT2; I had like 50 layers of the “attack strength upgrade” of my pet opened and the price was much more for the last window than it was for the first one, even though all windows did show the initial price of the first upgrade.

The issue in this case is that you can get OP stuff like the Quick Cast attribute over max level…

So you mean it was just a visual bug?

it’s nice to know, will edit then!

Yeah, afaik (and I tested it) the pet bug was just visual.

BTW @ topic: I don’t understand how this can be an issue at all. At my job, I’m programming some simple tools (which also do some database jobs) for my collegues to simplify their work. My rule number one: While ANYTHING that can possibly require over 0.2 seconds of time or that can require a user input is running, ALWAYS LOCK THE REST OF THE INTERFACE. That’s like 2 lines of code every time (to call the GUI_lock() and GUI_unlock() functions) but it will f***ing save your ass. Of course it will be more complex in a game GUI like the one TOS has, but it’s a simple rule…

The exact same thing happened to me with High anchoring. http://i.imgur.com/UXtG0w8.jpg?1

This is game breaking if not just visual.
There are many buffs and skill enhance that just change everything.

Just by Cleric and Priest I can list:
Bless +xxx? dmg
Bless unstoppable attack count. Awesome for 1h buff
Blunt Mastery for 100% stun. Lmao
Safety Zone range 100+. Try to knock me out of it now!
Revive for eternal duration. 2 lives ftw
Monstrance (+30% target dex +10) for eternal duration. Give me that crit bb!

This bug combined with 0 learn time of token users is deadly.

You can only at +1 from original max level attribute or maybe +2
Before this there’s a bug when you learning attribute with token benefit + pc bang you can learn 3 attribute at same time.
So when an attribute max is 5, at level 4 you learn the attribute 3 times and you get level 7.

I’ve read somewhere at this forum, that’s not only visual bug but really affect your char. Not all skill attribute is working.
I remember someone test with archer, he can learn multishot fast charging up to level 2, but have no effect. and try with other like swift step or else and it’s really affect the skill / attribute.

Sadly, I can confirm it’s working atm, gives +1 level over max and it takes effect.
1 level is not that much of game break but it’s definitely something.
One cruel example I can give is Divine Might Devil-type Damage attribute.
Lv1 gives 100% magic attack to nearby Devil-type. I can only imagine Lv2 gives 200%! :astonished:

Some of my friend tell this is still working, someone can get +more %% damage, range, etc! Devs need some work about it!

Yeah it is a bit unsettling that IMC ain’t replying to this majo BUG atm.
I mean I guess it makes sense since they are busy with transferring servers, BUT they should get on this stat and write a script on all made characters and wipe them down to their respective max attribute and refunding the last cost silver.

havent gotten a token to try it, but i got more brokn examples.
instead of 25% def pen when using one handed bow, 30%.
+52% crit chance with spiral arrow instead of 39%.
stun chance with MANY skills goes up with their respective attributes
Full Draw 40% defense ignore instead of 30% if you manage to link the enemy (if you manage to make it +2 lvls as someone higher up said, imagine one handed bow 35% def ignore + full draw 50% ignore = 85% def ignore, you basically can kill tanks left and right)
Feint chance to turn enemies around becomes 105% (with 2 extra lvls)
And there are lots of more examples

I believe this bug needs to be fixed ASAP, as getting certain attributes beyond their intended level is extremely overpowering for some classes. I don’t even care if I get my silver back when you remove all the additional attribute levels, just fix this as soon as possibly can.

Where it happened (which map, which quest, which npc, etc) : Klaipeda, Channel 1, Swordsman Master

Bug Description :
Learning more attribute levels than maximum cap should allow.

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. Click the attribute you intend to learn multiple times.
  2. Click or press okay on all the open windows.
  3. Over leveled Attribute can only be noticed in the character skill & attribute window.
  4. So far from testing only 1 level can be learned beyond the maximum intended level.

Increased Buff Count is at level 2 when it should be only 1.

According to a reddit comment, people lose the overleveled attributes once they relog / restart the game.

Nope. They stay.

I almost want to level highlander with lv2 2-handed sword attribute (+100% crit atk instead of +50%)… maybe with this they wont suck as much at later levels?

Maybe, just keep in mind low rank classes aren’t supposed to be effective in late game (DPS-wise).
Don’t think highlander attribute would have much of an impact even if you used exploits to make it more powerful.
The attribute requires you to stack crit attack on your equipment / headgears and to make it worthwhile invest a lot into DEX to get a decent crit rate, doing so lowers your overall raw dmg / suvivability that you miss out on in STR / CON.
Survivability is a huge key factor later on in the game, afterall you can’t deal damage when you are dead.

Same happened to me with some cleric attributes, specially the cheap ones, with priest didn’t happen just because I was leveling right on the exact money.

While not going to argue whether this is broken or not, a lot of people seem to have gotten their facts wrong about this glitch. This doesn’t let you overlevel attributes more than once per attribute. Most examples listed here are completely off the mark. Also, only the ones that add something per attribute level actually do something.

The attribute extra levels don’t do anything. I’ve accidentally had this happen to me and received no extra benefit.
