Over a year and Divine Stigma still doesn't Scale with SPR

I understand there are a lot of moving parts in a game.
But ■■■■■■■ lol.

Zaicai is still only 1 SPR = 1 Crit attack in a game where people have 3000 attack weapons used with 8000 base damage skills.

Aukuras HP recovery still doesn’t budge with SPR.

The fact that the majority of your cleric players feel obligated to put Cleric C2 in with their Krivis and Priest builds isn’t a good thing, far from it.

Krivis is lucky Meltis can carry its raggedy ass.

Astral Body explosion still sucks donkey nuts.

Why is Ranger called an aoe class and it can’t aoe. High Anchoring should be renamed Low Expectations.

Wtf is the deal with not allowing Maces Magic Attack to be improved through anvil or enhance. Might as well not even have it on if you just want people to use a Rod.

To be more specific why does Shadowgaler have half damage on its double hits but Temple shooter doesn’t. It’s a melee summon… The answer is you dun ■■■■■■ up.

Why the hell is the SPR and INT scaling on Summoning, Shoggoth and Salaimon so crap. Are you aware of Rank 8 mobs shredding these things like tooth paste?

Why do I have to do the revelation quest every…flipping…playthrough. Just give me my stat points bro I’ve done this quest line enough. Quality of Life…

Why does Flare still suck and you literally created an item that makes 90% of the Pyromancer skill set retarded. How did you manage to keep this move still poop? How?

There is pretty much no Pardoner C3’s. Where is my Aukuras 15 scrolls. Start rewarding people for being what I want them to be.

The Krivis class is pretty much [Resolved] anyway.
Divine Stigma was never meant to be useful and Zaiciai got nerfed… (fixed, sorry @Sayurichan).
Unless you want a Melstis slave, stay away from the class.

And wtf is with these enchant scrolls. I hope whoever came up with this crap loses their job and has to suck long sweaty ebola infested mouse pads for money. At least for 3 months or so then they can go back to work but let the mouse pad sucking begin from now.

Now there’s skull smasher a mace that can use envil to enhance matk.

beside meltis, krevis still has propose for high lv diano and has zaibas to use with taorist.

yeah you got any idea how hard it is to craft skull smasher?

Really hard, but it’s the sign that there might be another magic-base mace in ther future.

Over a year and I still can’t use my Riding auto attack on Sorc, dismiss it when I have too many buffs on or have functional AI that makes it aim before attacking. Not fixing something in this game for over a year isn’t anything rare or surprising. They just grab bug reports and throw them in trash folder.

All I can say that I’m rly rly curious about the new SPR scaling they promised…but I kinda starting to get impatient too that when the ■■■■ will that happen…

What I would like to add to the list (other than a lot of stuff that is bugged…) is Monstrance… I know ppl like to forget about skills that are somewhat useful… but it’s a joke that it is rather punishing to invest more than 1 point in it… like rly?

I have mixed feelings about this… We have rods ffs… Even rods with some physical attack would make more sense to me… but whatever…

Also I’m not even sure that’s what ppl wanted… I mean… wouldn’t it be better if maces would have both magical and physical as main stat and when you upgrade it both of them gets enchanced? ( I’m not talking about something overly OP… then maces most likely should give less for both stats in general…)

that’s what should be in the first place. the problem is they use current upgrade system and make some of current exist mace already has high stat compare to other weapon in the same lv(cata. club &versa. mace).

IMC has no idea what “balance” mean, all they can hear is “add something else to make specific skills/classes better” instead of actually reworking their game.

You’re not actually fighting with your “Spirit”. That’s a wrong assumption.
The reason why the attribute e.g. of OOB attacks changed to psychokinesis is because you fight with your real body. OOB is just a projection of your real body created by your mind, called “Astral Body”.
It’s still a real body bound by the physical laws and the appearance of your real body, that’s why it has legs and runs around, but it’s fast and quick because it has minimal weight and is not limited by the strenght of your muscles.

If you talk about “Spirit”, spiritual migration would be the real thing, but that’s a thing from Native American religions (and maybe some other religions I don’t know) where your spirit can move around freely, change its form etc. That’s how people “become” animals after their death e.g. (and also the reason why your spirit is “stolen” if you’re portraited)

It would be fun to see some Cleric class based on Native American religion actually, but as Featherfoot is already a wizard class, the hope’s small to see a real Shaman within the next few classes unless it’s a hidden improvement for Druid class…

The question is if these maces already drop in TOS anywhere,though, or if they’re planned to drop in new dungeons/hunting grounds of higher level range/etc…

Since Zaibas is so strong I’m sure their balance team feels the class doesn’t need anything else balanced. :joy:

Q1. SPR and INT don’t seem to be as effective as other stats in the game. Any plans to address this?

We agree, so we did make a few plans to address stat effectiveness.
Starting with the INT and STR stats, we are currently undergoing
internal tests to improve their effects. In the case of SPR, however,
instead of increasing the effects of the stat in itself, we focused more
on improving how certain skills scale with it (particularly skills in the Cleric class tree.)

Yeah… exactly the same about Monstrance since the beginning…although that’s a good skill…on lvl1… I already told them in the cbts it needs tweaks and nothing happened…


Also I kinda hate the thought if they will make everything scale with SPR… and ONLY with SPR…
Blessing was somewhat good that it scales with INT too…but they already forgot about physical builds…and I’m rly afraid it will get worse and worse and they will totally kill off the versatility that Clerics had at the end.

I guess you linked it because I mentioned rods could have patk instead of changing maces… but rods are not staffs… X) …and this whole case is more about clerics actually so staffs are rly doesn’t matter here…(btw there is a staff with real patk called Black Staff… and quite useless compared to Power Staff…:smiley: )

I’m no hueknight but if I have the macro to bump this thread every 4 hours then I will gladly spam it. I don’t know why kids love cinnamon toast though, but I like this topic because it has just the right amount of sarcasm to be entertaining while still making a point.

All in all this topic seems to boil down to: SPR and INT is useless, Some Cleric classes (Chaplain :cry:) and summoners are gimped. While I would argue that Zaibas, Daino, and Melstis alone are enough for the class, an MMORPG with such “high amount of customization” should never be able to produce clear cut meta build (ideally anyway). In fact, I long for the day I will mull over which skill to get for hours. You have a shipload of homework IMC. (Also, I request Increase AGI (DEX, whatever) to be added for Chaplain :rage:)

My thoughts about just stats and the way they tried buffing everything:

At first the 10% increase system to me seemed like a joke (because it kind of actually is honestly) when you apply it to the current way things work. It started with STR/INT doing 10% increase per circle, then DEF/MDEF and Transcendence is even 10% increases.

But like when you think about later after they revamp everything potentially if they were freaking smart it makes things easier to round out into averages of 10’s 100’s 1000’s ect. ect.

Assuming they were going to completely gut and revamp every skill in the game and rebalance stats later like they’ve said since they are not supposed to be working on new circles or content. So wrap your head around that one that this is going to take them months of figuring out.

I call it the Dewey Decimal system they’ve got going on here; or the Do-We even know how to scale without making numbers Dis-mal system. Guess we’ll see in the 8 months of no content soon!

Chaplain was meant to be a noobtrap to begin with. No wonder it suffers statwise. The need for Priest3 to get it was meant to induce the following thought: If you are Priest3, you must take Chaplain or you suck.

And for Krivis3, letting Divine Stigma scale with SPR puts the stats in a kind of opposition. You would need SPR for that skill, but it kills your Melstis cause of % consumption.
