Oracle c3 discussion

I have an Oracle c2 at the moment, are you having doubts like me on taking Oracle c3? Would it be wise to take another class path, feel free to discuss on the comments.

I have my few reasons on whether why should you pick or ignore oracle c3:

  • I feel like gender change is a total dumpster, considering you’ve already picked your preferred class gender on the first place, it doesn’t give any substantial buff and I doubt people would be totally drawn in gender change; in the early months perhaps yes however as the time goes by, this skill deflates it’s value. Do mind, your Tp costume won’t change the gender lock. And if we’re going by how towns would be littered with gender change shops I think I won’t be too inclined in taking this skill.

  • I’m fine with the new foretell skill (though I would appreciate it if everyone in the circle becomes invincible + there’s safety zone as an alternative); would it be useful in et? Probably it can, but the randomized picking of invincible individual could be proved unsatisfactory compared to strea trofh, another problem is that, it doesn’t retain it’s place, I highly doubt you can manually control it wherever you want.

  • The twist of fate skill is a gamble, whether you could burst the boss in a single rotation before it regenerates twice the 60% damage you dealt health in 30 seconds, which means you could be dealing damage all over 30 seconds and the boss is still full health. It would be nice if you can burst it down but it’s a gamble skill if you’re with a que party without proper coordination, which isn’t really a definition of Oracle since oracles are supposed to foretell the future and help people, not tiptoe in unknown way (I guess the concept came from the Oracle of delphi? It’s a two way and gamble, you need to properly use it or interpret it).

  • Counter spell doesn’t increase it’s duration nor decrease the cooldown in higher levels, I doubt that you need it more than 1 or 2 attributes (possibly you could level it up more if you’re focused on GvG or PvP).

  • Death sentence sentence reduced (Ayeeeee), however it’s still a 600 second cooldown and it’s a rank 1 ailment, easily counterable.

  • Prophecy is nice to max, if you’re going for c3 this is definitely good since it increases the duration and buff application.

  • Arcane energy, the most godly so far in Oracle c3, you could take little spr and get away with 45% bonus sp, + you wouldn’t need to jug sp potions and you’re totally fine since you have a heal. Good sp + good health.

My final rating, Oracle c3 could be much more, it doesn’t really feel like a support class, I’d give it a 4/10, and I decided it would be profitable choosing another class in r8 (still debatable). Tell me your thoughts, I’d gladly read it.

There are circulating rumors regarding gender change that imply that the process may grant temporary bonuses in the future (movement speed boost, bonus stat points (non-stackable), low chance of stat reset). It seems the developers are aware that the gimmick is underwhelming in itself for such a late circle three.

It would be nice if that’s the case, at least we need more clarification from IMC itself, -w- why does this game doesn’t have a proper skill viewing. Thanks for the info tho, I haven’t heard that one.

Arcane energy is very bad for classes with %SP cost, sorcerer, psychokino krivis melstis, pyro hellbreath, etc.

I’m in the same position and feel so disappointed. Basically it feels like if you didn’t take PD or monk at r7, you should just reroll.

Death sentence is single target and has such a long CD while Paladin can kill bunches of monsters instantly with less problems at rank 4. I understand changing the CD for pvp (that is if you can even land this thing and it plays out since it’s only rank 1 debuff and melee range), but it needs a boost in pve.

I agree ranking up counter spell past 10 is overkill. Maybe it needs some attribute or something that does something else at c3.

Prophecy can be recasted rather than dump more points in it. Attribute maybe could help this as well…?

TBH Oracle needed a damage skill. Not to have any new damage skill since rank 5 is painful.

Twit of fate feels useless because you are usually killing the monsters at a very slow pace since you have little damage as oracle 3, but even then if you could kill the monster quickly at 60% of it’s HP while it is healing like crazy, couldn’t you have done it without that skill at all???

Foretell also seems bad. Its only a “chance” at being invincible when Druid has an invincible field that doesn’t have the inconvenience of moving as well as being a less ranked skill.

Basically all these skills are either useless, or just flat out bad for such a high tier rank. Oracle 3 is extremely underwhelming, but then again so are some other classes at rank 8 except of course PD. Basically if you didn’t take PD we all need to reroll~

Yes, I have krivis c3 at the moment, however it wouldn’t be too heavily affected if you haven’t spent sp points, the higher the sp goes the more beneficial the %+on sp bonus, yes and thanks for pointing that out, I guess i’s a double edged sword too.

I have an Oracle C1 and I’m biased towards Kabbalist 2

I do think oracle c1 is benificial, oracle c2 is debatable, whether would I want the +30% bonus sp and the 55 second prophecy, however just like you said there’s no point in taking oracle c3 at the moment.

+Stamina bonus might be useful for monks, and perhaps you have a swordie who likes to dash 24/7. I expected a skill which increases damage based on character SP pool since arcane energy boosts it, however no class has such skill.

Gender change is not something I would expect to be profitable if it will have 50% tax like other shops + gender change item cost.

Oracle c1, isn’t too bad if you went for it in r6.

If bokor hexing will cancel the healing of Fate Twisted, it might be viable.

Oh, yes.

I’m a Chap Oracle. I don’t feel like making my oracle a merchant at C3 and Kabbalist seems to offer way more to what I want my character to do.

My build would then be: Cleric -> Priest -> Priest -> Priest -> Chaplain -> Oracle -> Kabbalist -> Kabbalist

What’s your build?

Actually that’s quite interesting, however this means Oracle c3 is once again (IMC classic) class limited, it feels like you must take bokor in order to get oracle c3 to be efficient.

But most people that take bokor go PD because of what it does with hexing.

Basically if you take Oracle you only take 1 rank. With the addition of rank 8, it makes this a bad class past taking 1 circle, which is a shame.

Furthermore I am interested in the application of various %max HP modifiers together, such as Decay, Swell Body, and Fate Twisted on tanky mobs. Too bad decay and swell body won’t work on bosses.

You forget you were on General Discussion when you made this topic?

Oracle seems to be the gambling class. Leave it to fate as they say, but I would think an Oracle should be able to do more than leaving it to a chance. Buff death sentence to grant it a higher status level or greatly reduce the cd to allow for continuous use, twist of fate is more aimed towards low health mobs/players which won’t do well in pvp or GvG unless you have the player cc’ed, foretell is basically forecast for greater than 5 ppl, a farce given that you have no control over its movement. In the end you are left with prophecy, or arcane energy. It would be nice if foretell was an aura that drains your sp like melstis, then it would be a real game changer because your opponents will no longer know if their attacks are safe. Twist of fate I won’t argue until more testing is done on it, I’m more worried about PD2 nullifying buffs especially if it can get rid of prophecy or even bloodletting from its own tree.

Pd2 nullfying buffs is truly terrifying however, on a moving character and a small hit box (or big one yet to be confirmed) I think it’s a fair trade, and if prophecy can’t negate that disenchant, lel then Oracle would further dump into more predicament.
