Option to Vote to kick in Dungeon/Instance/Saalus

Hello and Thank you for your time.

This question is mostly towards the devs. They just enter the Saalus and then go afk until the Saalus is cleared. This is how they farm easy at the cost of everyone else’s work.
What I’m asking is the “Option to Vote to Kick” someone inside the instance. This way members
can just vote out the player that is joining the run. One of the reasons why I write this here on the forums is because earlier today I decided to do Saalus dailies. The problem I encountered was extremely annoying. This happened over and over. Do something about this plague that has corrupted our beloved game.

I agree with you, we should have the ability to vote kick someone.
There was a SR in my alt’s dungeon run yesterday that refused to get on his mount, cus he believed that he’d lose the companion buff if he rode his pet, which is not the case, tried explaining it to him and dude refused to listen.

Long story short, he used a 900 dps xbow to clear the dungeon instead of his manamana or w/e offhand he had…

It’s a simple solution… Anyone who AFKs should be marked and the Vote Kick option occurs… They do this in Elsword and it works, it keeps people active. And I mean MARK them, don’t just mark them as AFK then when they move they are suddenly not AFK. If they don’t move within the next however many minutes (I dunno, something like 1 mins?) then mark them as AFK and people can vote to kick.

I’m one of the persons that AFK during the protect the statue mission…

me too, i never have tried but i think if everyone afk the statue still survive

the thing is, this feature can be abused to troll other people. imagine when you are not afk but some retards in party kick you out when the boss has 30% HP or your run is made from you + 4 other ppl from the enemy guild. Then people will have to queue in party in order to not get trolled. No more individual queue. HAHAHA

I can also agree that a kick option can get abused and eventually grow on the long run (band of douchebags kicking players at random/for being weak/etc.)
It would have timer (lets say 10-15 sec). If you dont press “no” in this time, it counts as “yes”.
Then just come with 1 friend. that will be enough to not kick you (since he would push “no”, you wouldnt be kicked).

how about afk-ers come in team? I mean 2 afk-ers queue together and…:laughing:

THIS HAPPENED TO ME TODAY on Canyon Saalus. I leave mid game, fck that people just sitting at the back of the dungeon doing nothing… then joining in on the last boss fight for the loot.

One solution I think would be good would be to exclude a player from loot, but i don’t know how.

the best solution imo is: Allowing players to choose the maps, just like mercenary mission: lake/statue defend mission: short and easy, just cube no silver. Mausoleum/Crayon: longer, many bosses but give decent silver, have chance to get x2 cubes.
Then everyone will be happy/sastified.

I’m not sure why you have to have a function is saalus (since no one really uses the auto-party in Fedimian) but for dungeons/missions, it seems reasonable, The only thing though is that I’m not sure how IMC is going to implement the system wihout exploits (and considering IMC being infamous of being incompetent,That’s why I’m doubtful.)

Instead vote kick they should add to that system a tool to measure the ammount of damage each player did, like if the help give by a player was below the minimum % then that mofo doesn’t get any reward and is banned from Saalus for 1 week

maybe they should create scripts that auto kicks afk players out from saalus without voting. the condition is add a real time check on all players and save their damage done to monsters/bosses, then kick players who did 0 damage out of saalus. or give them a special buff that prevents from any loots 'til that buffed players do a certain of damage on bosses/monsters then remove that buff.

and to prevent afk players from abuse it by attack the first boss and then afk for the entire mission. maybe make that scripts looping to re-check from damage done to bosses/monsters must be higher than last checked?

@LeafPenguinOP not all player have guildies or using premades, so we uses auto-party. There’s going to be flaws in every system, but I still think Vote-Kick button is a must in mmo.

@redisdarkisred You still have bonus 600% exp even one of member out from instance right?

@mathias_cronquist and @Yozakura Good solution. That way, they can’t just deal % of boss damage then afk the rest since the party’s average damage to the boss would increase and accumulate over time, decreasing the worth of the AFKer’s contribution.

And not only in Saalus, Vote kick in dungeon can also prevent people rushing to the boss with auto-party (please don’t rush on auto-party)

So, the only solution we have now :

If you wish a more controlled environment, running with friends or guildies or using premades.
