Option to hide character info from other players

I don’t want players to know my build info and copy it. If I’m playing this game a lot, I’d rather keep that info to myself. It makes the game that much more hardcore. I realize this post won’t get much attention, but I figured I’d try anyways since I really want this. People are dumb to give away build infos if you ask me. Kills the customization and challenge.

Does it show stat build and skill builds? I only see the class path other players had taken.

this was already discussed, voted and the majority agreed that the current system should stay…

stop feeling so arrogant thinking your build is special when it’s not…

the possibilities of more than 100 people having the exact same class configuration is HUGE…

Well that is the point he means…he want to hide that.! Show the class path give you information about what kind of character are you…he want to hide that to the other pvp players

How about adding a check box so players can hide and show it for some situations. I also want to hide mine. :relaxed:

I think you’re overseeing that actual players who know their way around the game will know what class path you’ve gone based upon what skills you use since they often (not all, mind you ) have a distinct identity in each circle. At best you’re hiding your equipment, but we can visually see that.

Diev - ‘Silence - Owls ft. Ausrine’
QuarrelShooter - drive-by simulator
Cryo - ‘Vacuum Tree 3000’
Sapper - Disco floor light
Thauma - ‘My ground tiles are doing a 360’
Monk - ’ Laser Beam’
Psychokino - Raise
Priest - MASS HEAL & physical attack deity like immunity
Rogue - ‘now you see me, now you struggle to see me’
Cataphract & Schwarzwhatever - this needs no explanation

You can try and hide your build, but not forever. :imp:

It only shows your class path, no skills or stats are shown.

I don’t think you can visually see equipment. It only shows costumes. And you can tell somewhat based on what skills are used but you probably couldn’t see if someone went to rank 2 or 3 in some cases.

As a Cleric, the first thing I do when I enter a dungeon is check each person’s class paths. This lets me get a good idea of how each person in my party is going to be playing and how I should be supporting each person - before we even start fighting.

For example;

  • if there is an Ele 3 or Rune Caster in the party, I know I will need to keep an eye on them to see if I will need to be SZing them (the same applies to if there is a Sadhu in my party with only Cleric 1)
  • If I am a Cleric 3 and there is a Cleric 1 in the party, I know I will not be able to completely rely on them to keep everyone healed (especially if they also have Sadhu or Monk - as those classes typically focus on DPS while ignoring support)
  • if there is a Necromancer in the party, I need to keep an eye on them to make sure they are not running head-first into battle trying to use Flesh Hoop to kill things and getting themselves killed in the process

Sure, if I couldn’t see their class paths it wouldn’t take me too long to figure out how each person plays and how (or how much) they need to be supported, but being able to devise a support strategy from the start and then adapting as needed is so much less stressful.
