I upgrade computer last week.
fps increase a lot from 30-50 to 110-160, enjoy the game so much.
i5-3450 ===============► i5-3450
8 GB =================► 12 GB of ram
Radeon HD 6670 4GB ===► GTX 960 4GB
15 Mb/s internet connection
Server Varena
So, the performance improvement is unnoticed
.
My FPS is at a fixed 60FPS 90% of the time.
It occasionally drops to 45-50 in Team Battle League, during AoE spam on both teams, otherwise it holds it’s steady 60FPS in TBL.
It does not drop from 60FPS whatsoever in Earth Tower.
It occasionally drops as low as 20-25FPS during some crowded World Bosses.
The lowest I have ever seen my FPS was approximately 10-15, during a 3-way GvG battle in Sventimas Exile roughly 3 months ago, with roughly 40 players on-screen attacking each other.
My computer specs are not the greatest, in fact they are definitely worse than some of the people I see complaining about performance, however they’re definitely not bad either.
My computer specs are as follows:
Intel i7-4790K @ 4.00 GHz
16 GB 1500 MHz DDR3
64-bit Windows 7
NVidia GeForce GTX 980 TI
Crucial MX200 500GB SSD
Though I have no proof I do greatly believe the SSD (not necessarily my particular model, just an SSD in general, though I do know my model tends to pull data faster than most other models) is the primary reason I run ToS quite smoothly, as it seems ToS pulls data from the disk drive more than most games.
0.25fps? Didn’t even know it was possible.
This is just me running in town. FPS drops, lags, goes back up, drops, lags, goes back up… happening to anyone else?
Channel has 23 folks.
I see DPS drop every time someone does a world shout.
I’m gonna say that the patch was just a placebo effect to get people to think the fps was optimised a little bit.
Mine never goes that low. I know that the RMT spam contributes to fps drops in town for me at least though.
The stuttering has always been there which is what youre describing, especially while running around in town. I think this patch helped with this, but it is still there.
how to differentiate gaming pc and high performance…
i use my popolion for gaming, does that make it gaming pc?
poll is lack of info, same as their ingame skill description.
this poll is ineffective.
edit: http://store.steampowered.com/app/372000/

so a popolion is winXP with core2duo geforce 8600, which is about technology 10years ago…
and recommended spec is considered office pc? or a gaming pc?
i3 with nvidia gts450 is about technology from year 2010
who else is playing on this recommended spec but still unable to get a recommeded fps (30fps)…
I know i have 50fps in a empty map, and barely getting 30fps with players in field map…
siaulai/dungeon give me average 15fps
fedimian give me 7fps
so recommended specs isnt so recommended after all.
the probable reason is because that spammer is present in your screen
A poll is a good step, IMC.
However you really only need to look at any streamer who participates in GvGs (or, you know, maybe have a member of Staff participate in one for giggles) to know that these are some pretty high end machines that are being used, and that FPS is still reduced to 2-4 for the majority of the time people are fighting.
2-4 FPS. In total. This is coming from the same machines that are pulling 60+ constant FPS in every game ever released, and will be capable of 60+ in games that are just around the corner. The games that will be competing for our interest, attention, and our money.
It will take a lot for those of us that are remaining in TOS to give up on the title. We’ve hunkered down and devoted ourselves to the game and its success. We love it and we want it to succeed. If there is only one thing though that is capable of pushing us away it will be this unforgivable FPS.
I have over 2500 hours in TOS (and I’m not even one of the players with the most time invested!) but I can honestly say that the first game that comes out that catches my attention will steal me away; I’ll give up on TOS so fast it’ll make heads spin. I’ll give up on the feels, cuteness, planning and everything in the blink of an eye if FPS is still this terrible whenever the next big game comes out.
For myself, and a lot of other players, this game will likely be Lost Ark. IMC… you’ve had years to address the FPS. Countless posts, petitions, and outcries against it. Looks like you have until Lost Ark comes out before you lose the game lol I’m sure we’ll stay if we get upgraded from “slightly interactive slide show” to “actually a video game.”
IMC: The 90’s called… they want their FPS back huehue.
SSD. i see… /20hues
you know what else is hot on the forums? BOTS REPORTS so are you going to do something about also silute’s server location, going to do something about? put some GM’s in game?
you know what else is hot?
IMC’s buttocks coz TOS backfired on them so badly they need to make a Survey Poll now!
and a bias/incomplete poll to top that!
More or less 5 fps increase on “normal” situations like Instance Dungeons and grinding on not-so populated maps. Noticed this in my office PC. Haven’t player much on my main rig lately.
Intel Core i5-4460
8GB RAM
Intel HD 4600
720p
Low Settings, all checkboxes unchecked.
Somehow I think its abit smoother now. Just a little bit. LOL
I hope you can optimize it more so I can play it at 60fps 720p or 900p Low Settings with an Intel Iris Pro or the incoming 7th Gen Integrated GPU (Kaby Lake).
I can clearly notice the game running smoother, even though the fps seems to hoover around the same values as before.
The stuttering seems to be almost gone for me, before the optimisation it was terrible. It would stutter every 2 seconds, now that seems to be mostly gone. However, there are still random frame drops, so that has not been fixed for me.
My minimum fps in dungeons has increased by 3-10 fps depending on what’s going on during a dungeon run. It does drop back down to the old values sometimes (15 fps), but overall the increase I mentioned is valid.
Outside of dungeons (tested on zach. crossroads map) my fps values are between 80-115 with no players around me.
Inside the royal mausoleum f1 however, there is a lot of action going on with mobs fighting each other. My fps goes down by quite a lot, the fps values in that map for me are between 48 - 63 with no players around me. When I start fighting the mobs however, the framerate drops to 35. My fps goes up to 75 when I’m not near mobs or players in this map. There were no players around at that time, so couldn’t test that.
I tested another map, nefritas cliff, cause I remembered how that map used to make my fps drop by a lot! Especially in a certain spot (near npc watcher kenneth) where there’s lots of monsters together. My fps values in this map are between 56 - 68 with no players around. However, the busy spot (watcher kenneth) with lots of mobs still drops my fps down to 42. When I start fighting the mobs in that area, the fps drops even more, down to 36.
In nefritas cliff, I was able to test the fps with some players around fighting the mobs near npc watcher kenneth. My fps dropped down to 30 fps. In this area before the optimisation, I used to get around 15-20fps with players around me, so that would mean an increase of 10 fps for me in that map.

*edit: added ingame settings, fixed typos
i used to get 10-15 fps now i’m getting 15-22 in cities
i also changed the game font and it gave me like 1~2 fps increase
not a huge improvement, but its better than before =)
To me more than improve it was a turn back to previous improvement state…
YAY!! now my game doesnt perma freeze every time I open the maps or F4…
Its better, but my laptop is run by dancing kepas; so I don’t expect miracles xD
If you do not mind my savior, Please write your system of computer
Thank you so much for your marvelous comments
We are also fully aware of only slightly increased FPS in GvG which leads to making our saviors be unable to play smoothly. However, I strongly promise that we are trying our best to get better on FPS for our saviors
Thank you so much for your precious comments.
You’re welcome, I added ingame settings as well if that helps ^^
