I like the idea of the OP. What i dislike is the bad combination of PvP and PvE. For example, have a strong item for PvE behind a PvP reward system forcing players to play both, which is bad because there’s always will have onlyPvE players; or something similar that force people to go PvP even when they don’t want. I think that a group or organization system (like a guild, but without need to PvP) beyond the guild system would be very good. So people could group to talk, hunt, whatever they want and not be forced to fight wars, like guilds members.
If they both have been playing a while, the one who spent 500 really wont be at an advantage though. Early on, sure.
Look at it this way. 500/18 = 27 tokens. 27*350k = 9.45mil. 500 dollars for 9.45 mil, early on this would be alot. Later on this is quite achievable with not spending anything.
This is based off prices before the announced changes to tokens. We dont know where the average price will fall once the changes are implemeneted and they are inflated right now. Not to mention the best gear isnt attainable with silver.
Well if we let both players reach the absolute endgame with same gears and maxed enhancements, sure. but thats not what tos looks like now doesnt it.
and 500$ was just an example, im pretty sure wallet warriors who wants to reach and stay in the top have already paid alot more, and are likely to keep on “buying” more silver with whatever their measure is.
Even if tokens reduces in price, it just means the tokens sellers will have more tokens to sell. Maybe tokens will get cheaper, there will be more tokens undercutting eachother.
It doesnt change the fact that a player who “buys” silver by selling tokens will be in advantage.
lol… what a helpful suggestion. so you’re saying IMC should make the game operate… basically the way that it already does.
“declaring neutrality” is just the same as “declaring PvE” … two ways of saying “we aren’t going to do PvP right now.”
correction: IMC said that the updates MIGHT be applied here after testing there. but kTOS and iTOS will not have exactly the same content.
i agree… but only so that the PvP crowd will finally shut up about it. lol seriously. every game ever… “when are you gonna add/improve the pvp?”
and yet…
if -you- are the one choosing who does PvP, then that -is- forcing it onto people who may not want to be in it.
the only appropriate method to allow PvP with a choice is “opt out”, like we have now. “but what about an ‘opt in’ option?” …well that’s pretty much identical. it’s simply a matter of where you start from. in ToS’ case, all guild are assumed to be PvP by default, and they must opt out if they don’t want to. if all guilds were PvE by default, then it would be an opt in choice to participate in PvP.
how are you supposed to -compromise- on an opt-in/out option, in a manner that doesn’t require adding a lot of new content?
except even by your own stats you suggest this isn’t true.
if FF14 would lose 50% of its population if they remove PvP… then it’s simply equal.
if FF14 would lose 20% of its population if they remove PvP… then PvE is by -far- the more popular choice.
using a PvP only game to show how popular PvP is… would be as unreasonable as using a PvE only game to suggest it is not popular.
no one is suggesting that Dota2/LoL/etc are not popular games. they’ve all been around for quite some time.
Overwatch is brand new, and made by Blizzard… of course it’s going to be popular. but it’s also only as old as iTOS… so it remains to be seen how it will hold up in the long term. (sure it’s blizzard, so it’ll probably do great… but then again, the Diablo 3 launch was also blizzard. nobody gets it right all the time.)
Smite i really know nothing about. lol.
it’s definitely a thing that a lot of people love… but i don’t think that -more- people love it than pve.
You are the one of those writers that not reading do you?
All answers to your text is in my text already.
Also i can say that i don’t even have that your OPT to be in pvp. For 3 weeks i’ve searched a way to turn it on.
Also2 you know what compromise word means? SO MANY ways to make it, but no, lets just kill pvp side.
You MUST be in guild to have PvP -> You cant find any 'cos almost no pvp-guilds left -> If you even find one, they are not your language. They will not inv you -> If they are inv you, there will be almost no communication -> If even you passed all of this(3 weeks for me) YOU STILL DONT HAVE PVP BECAUSE OF NEUTRALITY.
Open world PVP is needed to preserve the balance of ecosystem. It’s essential because this game lacks competition and everything is limited( especially when guild parties claims “spots”). OWPVP makes things dynamic and less robotic.
Grinding and farming spots are so clogged lately. How I miss the times wherein our guild had total control over dina bee spot farming. As a bonus, I also like to make players like @SlyGoat @mdurben mad because they don’t know how to adapt and would rather just sit and cry in a corner qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq git gud. It’s already obvious that builds kill players. Stop complaining if you’re playing a *** tier PVP class lmao nor hate on us because of your own incompetence to plan and adapt the current meta/PVP environment.
Stop the whine and leave plz
Agreed with OP.
IMC must do something with bugged skills in pvp(yeah, there are still so many bugged skills, look at hunter class(filtered word lol) ) and provide to us more pvp options.
i don’t need world pvp yet
just open GvG and battle league just like KR
people already sick of PvE already, nothing to do now
Please. I’ve never had a guild declare on us over a farm spot. All war declarations were from someone hiding their tower in the middle of nowhere and resulted in the declaring guild getting sodomized and hiding then sniping our tower while we were offline.
I literally just suggested a territory control system where you can plant your tower in a forced PVP area so if you really were in favor of that we’d be on the same side, but I suspect you’re actually in the kind of ‘PVP’ guild that just bullies and griefs and hides when you’re outmatched.
Ragnarok WoE was the proper way to do PVP.
Everyone who wanted was there, everyone who disliked stayed away.
Matching the story in its way “its training the strong to fight the strong mobs” rather than WoW “you are horde/alliance, im gonna kill you” also matching its story.
This just doesnt fit into ToS.
I give this game as an example of how much popular vpvp is . so far tos have no p2w only pay 2 lvl up fasterm
i dont understand, just open an arena or set higher limit of Guild v Guild or lower the CD of Guild war
then everybody happy
PVE focus can have their peace, PVP focus can fight all day
we dont have to go to extreme like Open PVP or completely PVE
Guild neutrality is needed and it’s good that it was implemented so only those that actually enjoy open world PVP are forced into it.
The fact that it’s dead just shows that there are hardly any people that want to do it. Those guilds that quit just wanted to gank on weaker guilds because it’s fun for them to ruin the fun of others. Good thing they left.
Neutral guilds should be forbidden to put a tower. (Or guilds having a tower in place shouldn’t be able to use the neutrality feature.)
Everything is solved.
Yeh open Arenas… so we Pvpers can have our pvp without killing “innocent guilds” who do not wish to war. I’ve quit playing for almost a month now, waiting for that arena so I have a reason to play.
yeh imc open arena up, and player who like pvp lets stal to up topics about this problem
Played from 1st minute game was released. And I’m really near to drop it now.
Believe me. No endgame content here.
All PvEers will reroll to PvP after they will realize that ET is crap.
And then they drop game too, because they will realize what they done by cryin themselves a neutrality.
“adapt” to completely unbeatable and broken kino. That’s hilarious.
Kino pvpers are the most pathetic people. PvP welfare queens.
It should be the guild’s prerogative to choose whether they want to partake in pvp or not, no one should be forced to do it. And anyway pvp shouldnt be the whole point of having a guild, just the social part of it is the main thing for many people.
