/edit …
I got it on Friday bc my girlfriend was able to get on the top 1000 leveled players. I activated it right away and she made a new character to levle up with me. We both went for cleric, she was FS i was full dmg(wanted to try monk, silly me
).
Hours played: 25 hours on record, last 5-6 hours were spent on Klaipedia on the last day of the CBT(flag guy, never forget). I was a cleric3 level 54, Roy Mustang was the name. Feedback on the class: It played exactly like i thought it would, probably one of the most boring paths to get to monk(bc no diversity on skills), but it’d probably be worth it at the end. Still was able to solo/duo most of the bosses without dying.
I found it rather Ok to level up, not too easy but not hard at all(bless panto archers). Money was easy to come by for me, and i even gave a lot of it to my girlfriend who played priest(so she could buy holy waters and all the stuff she needed). Crafting was ok, I crafted 2 shine bracelets, the panto horns, nepenthes gloves, almost everything I got a recipe of.
Let me know if there is anything else u’d like to know.

hey 65 here and i had fun with my str cleric…
it reminded me of old str cleric just smashing stuff and some spells here and there to finish up stuff i mainly soloed in the whole game and yeah i got in on friday really close to saturday my steam shows 36 hours i believe i spent most of that time just walking around filling my rank fun time too
and to me exp rate is just in the right spot … sometimes i had a feeling the Original base experience was slower… the progression felt too fast for me and i didn’t even played for extended periods of time.
Skills reworks are a must and ofc those empty stupid skill tooltips with just their basic description and no real stat info.
Bosses should be reworked completely they shouldnt be a one time thing they should be more rewarding and Challengin, in the current state of the game bosses are pretty much a complete waste of time..
I played in the CBT but only in the 2nd batch back then and didn’t manage to go far because I tested different classes. So far every boss I encountered can be soloed and there isn’t much of a challenge. I am wondering if it does continue till later in game since I didn’t reach too far. Hopefully there will be more challenging bosses later especially those which aren’t part of the main quest.
I enjoyed the gameplay but I felt like it’s lacking something. One of course that I am not fond of is the linear progression but I guess it’s too late to whine about it. Also I wish there are more maps that you can explore not only those which are part of the main quests. I am not totally comparing the game with RO but one thing I love about RO is the number of maps that you can choose to explore and grind.
As for new generation of MMORPG like this, I miss the game system when my party had to actually play as a team to defeat a boss and not only hit -> dodge -> hit style. I miss the time when a tanker really needs to be aware of boss skills (when to up his defense, keep agro etc), another player need to make sure he cancel the boss OP AOE skill while casting, the healer need to time his heals and dispel the tanker on time to avoid a team wipe and the DPS needs to know what skill is effective to throw. I really hope I will experience same thing here. Well I can’t tell because I haven’t reach high level here but I’ll try next CBT. Perhaps I simply miss those challenging part of old mmorpgs. Hopefully the changes are good this coming CBT 2.
Stamina things is bugging me. I hope they put other use on it, swordsman can run and utilize it, I wish other class can have same stuffs like dash, or teleport that use stamina for faster map exploration but ofcourse it has an uber slow cooldown in PVP else gonna be OP.
Well since I didn’t get that far last CBT I can’t comment on other stuffs. But overall I think it’s good and has a lot of room for improvements that other players already specified in their feedback.
Waiting for CBT 2.
