Some didn’t receive the email and for alot of people the email went straight to the spam folder (Mine did) luckily I read the forums so I was able to know to look at my spam folder.

But even with that if 2.2k out of 8k responded that is a decent size sample pool to work with. That’s 27.5% of the people in the Beta test.

To give some perspective go to: http://www.surveysystem.com/sscalc.htm

To get a margin of error that is only %4 with a 99% confidence level you only need 921 out of 8k to reply. So 2.2k is a pretty great number to work with. Using the population of 8k and 2.2k replies and with a confidence level of 99% we end up with a margin error in the replies of .47%

That makes 2.2k a pretty fantastic number.

Also a lot of people gave up on the game when they got bored with the content.

It’s normal.
Many didnt even know it’s beta.

People are waaaaaaaaaaayyyy to feed trough normal “game betas” who are just an glorified marketing gag. To allow them fre entrance for a week or so.

Real Alphas and Betas are rare~

Oh I thought you were saying the number was too low to be helpful with improving the game. What was your point if not that?

They got a great turn out for their survey. 25%+ is a pretty solid number. Research wise it’s a freaking fantastic sample pool.

Especially considering lots of people didn’t get the emails, and lots of people had it sent to their spam folder.

many questions in the survey are poorly designed due to the limitation of google survey
hope they realize that there will be many wrong summary stats from that survey

ie, what regions do u come from if u experienced lag

that many players, even receiving the survey… has not responded … because they play the game only to play before the obt… not to improve the same… got it?

so many people received the key and dont played(not to much)., I think… that is the cause to many keys… the players played… saw the xp and quitted =)

So even though a great amount of people replied to the survey. More than 25% of them, despite many of them not knowing about the survey, not getting it, or it going to their spam folders… Is your point that you just want to whine for the sake of whining?

25%+ Is a freaking fantastic sample pool. If you think that so many players played saw the xp and quitted than the 25% is even more fantastic considering all the above reasons for people not even knowing about the survey.

No matter how you cut it. They got a pretty great return on the survey.

I think 2234 is actually a good number, especially since the survey was just simple questions. You don’t need 8000 survey replies to determine if some aspect of the game is enjoyable or needs improvement. If 90% of the 2,234 survey responses stated they didn’t like a certain feature, its more than likely that a lot of others are in the same boat about the game feature.

which was not even half of the first wave…

Total distributed keys: 5000+4000+1000+any other special circumstances or let’s just say 10,000 keys total.

What the OP is saying, out of that 10,000 keys that was distributed, only 2234 or 22.34% are the ones who took the trouble of doing the survey. Which I can see that troubles him because he thinks it’s a small number.

Let’s remember that not all keys has been used and not all who got keys stayed until the last day because they didn’t took a liking to the game. And let’s remember that other key holders are friends of the other key holders so they don’t have any access on Survey that got sent from email (unless those original key holders sent them a link of the survey). Ofcourse, others don’t have any idea too that a survey was on going because the email got to Spam (most people don’t check spam) and others don’t have any time/don’t care on accessing the forum.

So imo, that 2234 people who took the survey are pretty good number for the data collection. Not good if you compare that 2234 on 10,000 total keys distributed because it looks small but at least let’s try to look at the other side of the coin too. :mask:

Just stating my opinion. :mask:

I said I’m happy to go back and also said I was very displeased with the game, in the status of a beta those two don’t correlate.

My BF got a 2nd key and gave it to a friend of us. She didn’t receive the survey so I suspect they sent 7k, not 8k

I got my beta on the 3k batch, and receive the survey
