Npcs can get linked by monsters

Early this day I saw something ridiculous, while I were exploring Rukas Plateau, I saw a Hog Warrior(forgot the name) using Physical Link on a quest npc in the map, and the most ridiculous part, after attacking sometimes the Hog Warrior, the npc that were linked died.

It is ridiculous that a monster can link a npc, at least the npc respawns after a few minutes.
But either way, is still ridiculous.

This should be a bug report rather than a a feedback, but good catch!

I don’t think that would be considered a bug. They thought it through enough to give those NPCs an HP value instead of being invincible in some way, and programmed a death sound too. This happened to me in the map after Owl Burial Ground. I thought it was pretty neat too. :slight_smile:

Yeah, but is still ridiculous, and kind of does not makes sense aswell, since the npcs can die, why they can’t fight for their own life too?
Like defend themselves from monsters?
Look’s like npcs are only usefull for giving quests and be linked by monsters, hahaha.

That is not the case. Basically all NPC have a core. Mobs and NPC you can interact with are based on that same core (or if you know some programming, on the same class)

and instead of declaring that core to be impervious to attacks in a way, they went the length to add detail to the NPC to give it the possibility of death. If it wasn’t on purpose it would likely have not have even had a respawn timer because that requires forethought-- the same forethought that would avoid this “bug”.

[/quote] That would be great. Maybe they’ll add AI for that later. I would really like to see the guards in the field maps taking a stance against monsters instead of being static NPCs.

@Nakano15 they do fight back, they have a really strong max repel :3

no monster can get to them or attack them, that’s why they don’t need to defend themselves…

as for the link, there is no way to remove it and is equally bad when some stranger link dmg into you…

but NPC have it worst cause it’s their job been where they are and cant move unless ordered to by high ups :b

that’s not a bug. It’s not performing in a way that wasn’t intended.

Nope, it is a bug since the npc is being linked by a monster.
This should not be possible though the game AI.
