Today I was a lot of Its type of comments.

“They speak portuguese in chats, That is AWFUL about Brazilians”

“Brazilians are toxic, and spam every game they play”

Srsly? Do you get it that “Brazilians” talk about every Brazilian in the world and this guys who are annoying the other players are “HAHA” “huebrs” “toxic br players” and NOT everyone?

I play MMORPG for 14 years ( 24 now ), sinse Priston to GuildWars2 and I see how SOME Brazilians are awful, but the most annoyed is US nice good and civilized BRs Players.
I always try to speak in English, and not talk in Portugues in normal chats. What is really AWFUL is get this type of prejudice just because I’m Brazilian and suffer cuz of it.

I HATE HUEBRS, they annoy me, make us loook bad in the global community and that said, I’m not happy about the LA serve cuz I dont wanna interact just if LA countries, I have friends around the world and I want more, that’s what games are, for making friends.

My suggestion is BAN this type of people, people that are not civilized and I’m talking about not only from Brazil, from the other countries also.

You do not have to play on the LA server if you do not want to. The LA server will just have better ping for people in LA, and (I assume) will be more friendly towards speaking LA languages in shout chat.

I do agree that these uncivilized people in shout chat should be temporarily muted (banning might be a little too far).

I am Brazilian , and I find it regrettable , ends up burning our film , not every Brazilian is thus has many who only want to play to make friends and enjoy a good game , I 'm sorry I lost to other players for these idiots Brazilians.

Edit your post Title, Most =/= from few, i know a few people i played in the past and most that came after where HUEHUE retardes, most of times i few shame on being brazillian, and i have to hear sh.it like you say that your sucker of americans and what not, yeah, like being a retard and ignorant is the way of brazillians, thats why we are on this shi.tty situation with our governament.

Well, I’m brazilian and I’ll play in the LA server just because there is, still, a lot of instability on the “normal” servers. Some times the ping command shows 0.2(something) and when I click on a NPC or try to attack a monster it takes like 10s to the damage to be calculated. I hope it happens less frequently in the LA server.

For me it’s most like a new way of testing the game.

Will be the same on LA servers, but less latency, at first the LA server will be located on the same local as the actual ones, but later they will find a place here to host it.

With LA moving to LA server the load of the normal servers will be better, so I believe that LAG will be much less now.

I don’t have problems with the ping, so I won’t be moving to LA server because of that.

I’m brazilian and I have a massive group of friends that play ToS, all brazilians, and none of us are HUEBR, trust me. We feel sorry for these people, and ashamed. The server will not be ip blocked, so I’ll continue where I’m.

Speaking English doesn’t makes you a greater man or anything. Its just a language…

im not in the beta yet (extremely sad here), but i know how it is.
in alot of games i ignore Brazilians and keep speaking in english because of how toxic the huebr community tends to be, seriously, if its awful to people who speak other languages, its even worse to us that can understand what those guys are talking.

i usualy find another friendly compatriot after a long time that im playing with that person and usually we still tents to talk in english in respect of party members or mutual friends~

PS: just to clarify for the non-blankas, ‘burning our film’ means “make us look bad” or “causing a bad impression”

TBH, I just stay quiet in chat. Been playing MMORPG’s for years (got a few Realm First achievements on WoW hardcore raiding). The reason you guys think all Brazilians are toxic is that some of us who don’t type much in chat won’t grab your attention. We’re just playing our game, communicating in the right language and minding our business. Of course, I do agree that most of our community is a total sack of ■■■■, but as OP said, when you call out Brazilians you’re talking about everyone, not just the “huebrs”.

It’s too much effort to pick and choose the people being terrible. The most likely resolution to the situation is banning an IP range or host.

If you can help by quietly explaining to the people calling others out over Megaphone, then great! I have no problemns with anything but those guys, and because those are the ones people SEE, it leaves a bad taste.

Make sense as to why so many would want Brazil specifically gone? It’s not that they do, it’s that they want the monkeys to shut up.

It’s just like everyone thinks the states are going to be disgusting because of a few hillbillies in a trailerpark that got on a news station once. It’s the exact same thing.

What about imc put some people onto the servers with the purpose of seeking for those flooders and temporarily ban them? (like suspending for few days)
I know this may sound too radical… but people often stop doing bad things if they notice that their actions WILL punish them. For instance: people who often cut in line wouldn’t try to do that, if there’s someone observing.
If those players starts to get suspended, the idea that ‘flood = punish’ would spread very fast around the community imo.

Okay, that solution may not be a cool thing, and I have no idea how difficult it is… but why not brainstorming some ideas to improve the game experience? (IP block was already suggested, try thinking in another one)

I can understand if they make a new Latin American server because of ping issues for the large number of people from that region, but making a new server because of some ignorant racist people? I’d prefer if they were just banned altogether, i love playing with people who live in different parts of the world than i do, we get to learn new things from each other and “level up” our real life intelligence.

I can only tell you what my personal experience has been with BR’s. In every single game they are the filthiest, nastiest, most aggravating players I’ve ever seen, and this is with a sample pool of tens of thousands across 30+ multiplayer games. So I have a very solid reason to hate BR’s, I’m more than willing to take all the flak and ridicule on earth for believing so, because I know empirically that I am justified in hating them, and that is all that matters.

Now someone will say that not “all” BR’s are horrible “people”. (And I struggle to use that word.) But I have not met a single decent BR in over 15 years of gaming. So while statistically I’m sure they “DO” exist, they are so rare that I’ve never encountered one in the wild.

@abyss9000 Is true that you dont seem many “Nice” BRs around, cuz we don’t behave like that bad ones. I never spoke in postuguese in game, even when there are BRs and other nationality in the groups, I continue speaning English to everybody understand, SO of course you dont notice me or the other good BRs around the game.

So please don’t hate every Brazilians, there some good ones too :smiley:

@deliwar91 I believe you. Mathematically speaking, you have to be right. It’s just that you’d think I’d have spoken to, or grouped with, or traded with a “good” BR by now in over 15 years of gaming. The only place I’ve seen people claim to be BR and not being terrible people, in on game forums like this, but never in-game.

As I said, we don’t say that we’re Brazilians in-game to avoid discrimination. And you can’t realize who is Brazilian because we all use english to speak with you.

But there are trolls (a small part of Brazilians) that likes to disturb peace and post this “huehuehue”. These are the ones that you can recognize because they don’t speak in the same way you do. Again, if you read the global chat and count how many Brazilians are posting “huehuehuehue”, you’ll see that it’s just 5 people at most.
