No Challenge in ToS

There are some things that makes the game easier that are bothering me:

  • Monsters doesn’t attack you near NPCs, they walk to you and go back to their initial position endlessly. And there are people abusing of it, to kill monster without being hit.

  • Monsters take long to do their attacks. First they prepare, then after one second, they attack, giving enough time to kite any monster.

  • Red dots indicating where monsters are going to attack. In my opinion that ends with the challenge of the game. Since when I watched the game trailer I didn’t like it. It makes all the bosses easy.

  • Most of the monsters are passive, that’s fine when you’re low level, but I’m over level 100 and I still fight passive monsters. I think that’s not necessary, since there are maps that monsters don’t respawn.

The game has it’s challenges, but I believe these points should be reviewed.

I’m ok on quest boss to be easy… since it was meant to be for solo… what I don’t want is the Real boss fight that is free for all that respawn on some map/hidden maps. people are waiting for them to respawn like he was just a stupid little mob. I wish they could change it, make it intimidating , I still remember the old time on ragnarok when you see baphomet everyone loses their mind and run for their lives… (as if you can outrun him without flywing) he hit you once you die or 90% of your hp is gone… you call some of your friend and create a party for revenge… that what a boss on a map should look/feel like.

Yup. I made a long post about my opinion of the game and that was at the top. I can walk a slow circle around 50+ mobs and 10 bosses and never get hit. Playing archer is literally the most boring thing ever as I slowly strafe around the boss at melee range (lower your circumference) and watch it slowly wind up.

The worst part is they are all so freaking huge that they could just flail around there arms like a wacky wavy balloon man and they would probably kill you by accident. Nope instead im going to take 15s to wind up my axe that has a giant laser pointer magically highlighting the exact area where you need to not stand, just incase you missed my spinning to face you and starting my huge windup for my attack.

I’m literally killing a boss right now with 1 hand while I type this and im still so bored that I have to watch netflix at the same time.

The problem is the game has actual tanking combined with really, really good and super easy public healing. In RO if a boss comes after you there is no way to make sure it won’t just run at you and wreck your face in 2 hits and good luck getting anyone to heal you if you don’t have your own.
