Nexon did better than IMC at opening

i remember i played krToS for the first 2-3 weeks, even there were bugs & problems. but at least those issues and bugs did not causing huge obstacle to play on… well… are IMC developers sleeping most of the time?

While I’m generally on the bashing side, to be fair the player amount on international side is much bigger, and it may be too much for imc to handle.

nah, you didn’t see how many players at krToS at the opening. ask the people around who played in krToS.

we had almost every map 15 channels from lv1 to lv100.
lv100 to lv200, 5 channels.
lv200 to lv280, 3 channels.

A few years ago I remember reading somewhere that IMCgames was newly formed at the time of Tree of Savior’s alpha days. It could be that they’re still developing as a company, but if that’s the case, then they should be developed by now.

I don’t know if they’re sleeping or if they’re being too careful, or what. I hope that whatever it is will not be an apparent issue in the future.

This, bearing in mind that this seems to be their first attempt at publishing on their own, so there is no thirdparty. Whereas Nexon KR has published numerous games over its lifetime.

Still, you’d think iCBT2 would’ve better prepared them for what was to come.

which is why i suggested Nexon to handle EU and NA aswell last year,
With Nexon there you get the staff of a publishing company not a developer, plus all the hate would be fall unto Nexon and not on IMC saving them the face.

IMC can continue international Steam ToS for those without a publisher.

But many dished me out that IMC cash model would be better than Nexon KR but its pretty much the same as we see today.

You don’t have the gold spammer.

nah!!! we saw a lot!

IMC is classified as a “small” company, employing between 500-1000 workers. Nexon is classified as a “large” company, employing over 5,000 workers. Expecting 500 people to do more work and do it faster than 5,000 people is ludicrous.

And before someone says “Well they should hire more people!”, I don’t think you understand how money works. Mainly, you need lots of it to hire people. If you think the tiny sum of cash they got from founder pack sales is enough to hire another team of developers you clearly have no idea how much developers get paid.

And they know the numbers as onlly faunders playing now.

your words then make sense for me.

Did they spam in all chat and crash the game? I would imagine that international release is prone to more attack.

I would say it’s harder to manage an international server than a Korean server.

Still not a reason why we should get fked though.

how do you know we are in larger group than we played at krToS? come on the first 2-3 weeks, a lot foreigners used VPN to connect krToS. almost every channel i sew => RED. ask the players around. they will tell you more.

Nexon doing 0 work on the development of tos. Tbey can have 1000000 workers as well.

Inc did make a point that they didn’t expect so any players to purchase the founder access at last-minute.

Its not easy to prepare for a sudden influx of people.

We, as the professional raging artist need to get the fact right before ranting, or our post value would drop.

umm that lans12123123123123 the last time i argued with him he said premium hair and costume was pay2win.

smelling burning fire

Because there are more casual players that didn’t know about the existence of vpn compared to those who do use it.

You would be surprised how many people who don’t even know about VPN.

You make so much sense comparing Korea with a few continents that play iTos.

Ktos had 3 servers running for OBT,we’re not even obt and we have 4 and all of em have people.

Like IMC said they did not expect so many people to join up because they thought it would be similar to ktos.It is still their fault for not being prepared but the point is your argument is invalid.

i agree  you explain the situation instead of defending the slacky IMC.
