New random boss spawn system SUCKS

This new random spawn system sucks really bad. Waited 10 hours on Marionette to get a crap recipe from it. This is so frustrating. It’s an anti-fun system. I can’t do anything else other than idling for ages on the map waiting for boss that i need, like there’s nothing else to do on the game. Please change this random respawn time to something between 1-2 hours maybe!?

From what you’re saying, the new system is fine, it’s just the time it took to spawn that’s the problem. I would rather have a random spawn timer then the same people who did the initial kill and have the spawn timer on lock down with out sharing a pain. At least this way it’s a little bit more fair? Dunno.

Its a beta…? Try other classes? level up other classes? try to find bugs on other classes? lol.

You are not “playing the game” you are testing it. Making it random is fun, it adds to the excitement of finding the boss. Tbh this is the problem when people buy access to betas(unless you are korean/have a close korean friend and didnt buy yours).

Like ■■■■■■■ hell this isnt even constructive feedback. Try to make a more detailed post of reasons you dont like it, instead of being “QQ nothing else to do ingame”.

Look at the first 3 words you typed, then you’ll see the real problem.

If IMC wanted you to camp a boss so nobody else could have a chance to fight it, they would’ve kept the old respawn times. I’m glad they fixed this now before open beta.

My point is… if there’s an item that fits your build, and you must have it, there’s no other way to get it other than killing the boss that gives the material. Of course people are going to wait a whole day to get it being it fun or not. At the moment, its not.

Ofc its constructive feedback. I said the new system is not fun. I don’t really like how it was before, when people killed the boss within 3 seconds, but right now is worse i think.

Another suggestion is to implement something like Durahan, where you have to kill 200 mobs to spawn the boss. This gives some time for people who want the boss to find out and you actually have to do something other than waiting.

People could maybe gather something to be able to fight the field boss. Add some hardwork to the system because now it’s just luck or extremely boredom. They don’t want that in their game.

I don’t see how this isn’t a test of the game. He’s testing the boss spawn system. It seems useful for someone to test this, otherwise IMC won’t get any feedback on the new system.

I like the idea of making the spawns random, because otherwise the same party will just camp it forever, but it does sound like the spawn rate is too low. If the only way to get the gear you need is to wait around on the same map for days, that doesn’t sound very fun at all. I imagine it would be much worse to wait for hours and never be in the right place because of the random spawns.

Now in case you cant see it… “there’s nothing else to do on the game”, Are you telling me thats the “point” of a beta? to farm ■■■■■■■ gear? lmao thats whats wrong with beta testers this days. As I said, he can give all the feedback about the system if he wants to, but saying “there is nothing else to do on the game” is silly. He can make new chars to CHECK FOR BUGS you know.

I like it than specific spawn time. Why? Because boss die in less than 1 min… Can’t even have chance to hit it… Limit of loots drop also only to 5 person who do top damage to it. So there’s lesser chance to get any drop from boss with boss camper around lol.

Feedback or suggest at here won’t change anything for instant because it’s different server. Should suggest on KR since it’s where they still work on fix/change stuff. (Also anything that was change can be change again or keep it to official next beta/launch. Any info change in KR extend test are suppose to be secret even some people still posting it out around without care of NDA. They even mention to discuss about change happen in extend test on KR tester board only).

Btw I’m agree that they should change it to something like randomly spawn again at 2 - 4 hours (or other time gap, at least make it have some gap of random hours).

Random spawn is fine, I can agree with this however:

At the same time, marionette and duraharden (can’t remember his name), weren’t meant to be farmed on a cycle. They have the rarest, and some of the highest iLvl gear atm.

Can’t farm it? Buy it off someone that waited. Farm money, etc.

I’ve tried 6 different characters from which 2 are level 200 and other 2 are over 120. I don’t see any problem with farming bosses and going for the end gear as this is a reflect of whats the game going to be on release. I want to know exactly how hard it’s going to be to get what i need for my builds, to see if it’s worth it, specially when the level cap is higher.

I respect you for having a different opinion than me but, as you can see, most of the people here agreed that random is okay and that the respawn time should be within a range, so if someone wanna dedicate time to get it, it should be at least “possible”.

Again, people waiting until the boss they want appear is going to happen.

Well, I think its a legitimate idea. It “prevents” people from staying in one area kind-of but at the same time for those hardcore boss hunters to just wait a REALLY long time.

The system is bad, you had a rare chance to see bosses before but now you have next to none. Congratulations to anyone who thinks this will actually increase their boss fighting chances, because it won’t. Essentially this has made crafting boss-leveling gear useless, as no one is going to camp the lv 200 zone for a piece of gear that’s a slight upgrade when it isn’t even 1/2 way to the level cap.
Reduce the spawn time to be 1-3 hours or make it base it on the number of monsters needing to be killed in the zone before it spawns.

There will always be people to buy unused gear and materials seeing that boss would be great for making money, and you have to remember this is a progression based game not a end game gear treadmill you may spend more than 2-3 weeks to get to 250-300 I disagree with you when you say.

Who knows what the best/optimal builds will be for each class, maybe there will be lvl 400+ gear that you can farm from normal mobs, or instance dungeons, or even hidden quests that give you the gears you need, we don’t know yet. I can understand why you want to test this, but it just seems pointless to me at the moment, and will seem pointless to me until i have a lvl 500-600 character in open beta or after release.

Waiting 10 hours (for a beta) is horrible, but it’s your choice. You should have done other things…

Waiting 10 hours is kind of long and boring. Waiting 1-2 hours is too short. We just have to meet halfway to keep the fun and to prevent the boss camping. Five hours maybe?

I think five hours will still make a huge gap between casual and more hardcore players, who can dedicate more time to the game. My suggestion is between 2-3 hours so after the first boss kill, you waste only 1 hour every 3 hours. Or do something to do in the boss maps while waiting for the boss.

Killing mobs to speed the boss respawn is also a good idea imo. Adding some hardwork to deserve the reward.

The upgrade isnt significant enough for you to spend the 10-20 hours grinding bosses, or rather afking in the zone. Literally all the complex gear items that make lv 170 gear right now (roxona items) probably don’t equate to a 5% increase in dps. Despite what you say, most leveling items have to be accessible, it isn’t like the boss item is the only required item - you still need the recipe and other minor materials which can cost a lot (i.e. mythril ore). On top of this I feel like players should be seeing more of the content with every patch, not less of it, boss encounters are one of the truly epic feeling scenarios in the game atm.

At the very least, give players some control by killing monsters to reduce the bosses spawn timer because even 5 hours is a goddamn long time.
