New player looking for some help with an Archer class

Competitive vs who? I don’t get what you mean.

Potion aren’t really that expensive even if you use a lot of potion when farming or grinding your income won’t be negative. I rule out fletcher because your mention about don’t want to spend much with potion and fletcher is the most sp hungry class of archer.

About 3-4 hit to one mob can be either barb arrow vs cloth enemy or just those AA with +additional dmg (cafrisun/sacrement/etc.)

If you interest in fletcher depend on your path
Ar>Ra3. Old popular meta buildThis build benefit high str
Ar2>Ra2. less steady aim, doesn’t has spiral arrow(a good single target dmg long cd) but come with swift step crit buff
Ar2>ra1>sc1 less steady aim, but have sc for utility and mobility a newer meta build
Ar2>sap2. For broom trap a nice aoe skill.

World Bossing.

Wugushi has very high risks during world bossing. Each wugushi poison is applied as 1 debuff on the boss.

If another wugushi uses poison after you, their poison will overwrite yours. So you now deal 0 dmg on the boss.

It doesn’t matter what lvl poison, even a lvl 1 poison will overwrite yours, as long as it is used after yours. This is how debuff mechanics apply in ToS.

:disappointed_relieved:

Is that a bug?

Thank you again. I guess I will look into Fletcher some more.

No, this is how debuff works in the game. A new similar debuff will overwrite old buffs.

That sounds ridiculous then.

So once there are a lot of Wugushi hitting a WB we don’t know which one is gonna MVP?

Yes. The one hitting the boss last with poison will be MvP

It is not uncommon to lose your debuff damage.
Even fletcher Broadhead Bleed will overwrite other Broadhead Bleed. Or Plague doc incinerate overwriting other plague doc incinerate.

So is there a tip to MVP as Wugushi?

Wait until other wugushi’s have used their poison, then use yours to overwrite theirs. I don’t know your server. Some servers have a very low amount or no wugushi hunting world bosses at all. If you are the lone wugushi with a good party you will probably MVP. I must say it is hard to compete vs Fletchers, not impossible.

I play in Silute (SA).

Well, I confess I also don’t see Wugushi everywhere and mainly C3.

I hope to have a good time while World Bossing.

Anyways, thanks.

Like what @greyhiem said, it really depends on the situation and the type of boss. Wugushi is very competitive in boss hunting if there is only one Wugushi in the party. Fletcher is good also, however, if a boss runs around too much, magic arrow is not going to do its full potential. That leaves broadhead and a few other tricks fletcher can use.

I personally prefer Wugushi because you can toss the poison and go do something else. While people say that Wugushi scales less in late game, that notion is definitely beyond the current cap we are in. Because even at 280, Wugushi’s damage from its limited scaling is not a problem.

I understand your point of view.

Sometimes I think some people might not play Wugushi and then try to say something they don’t know exactly how it works.

I particularly confess it’s not common to see Wugushi walking around.

Do you guys know why? Is that class preference? Play style? Or maybe that’s not a class people would spend time to level up?

I would say it is play style. DoT classes has never been popular in MMO. Also, most players who plays archer wants critical damage. Archer players just likes to see yellow damage. And Wugushi isn’t about critical. Furthermore, boosting STR instead of DEX is also not your common archer’s style. And lastly, the whole “only one Wugushi” problem when boss hunting.

Wugushi doesn’t scale bad, just differently. Wugushi attribute just scales lower when your skill lvl is not optimal (needle 15, wugong 15, pot 10). Wugushi damage is very strong. Whenever you do Siaulai mission and Poison the Earthbosses golem, and tree, they die real fast. QS3 Wugu3 has one of the highest single target DPS through poison DoT ticks + running shot, since they can be used together.

Don’t forget the Boss card into your poison pot to boost throw gu pot. The new card system will add more possible cards for the pot.

If you go pure STR wugu, you will have one less stat to worry about, is another way to look at it.

I actually only have throw gu pot at level 1. I don’t find it all that great.

Archer>Ranger C3>Fletcher C3 is your answer
OR
Archer>Quarrel Shooter C3>Fletcher C3 (good in both crossbow and 2h bow)
OR
Archer C3>Scout>Fletcher C3
OR
Archer C3>Wugushi C2>Falconer C2
OR
you can just mix some of your likes and experiment them

Archer 2 Ranger 1 Scout 1 Fletcher 3 is a good build for bossing too.

sshhh…keep it quiet. this is Bully-Build in team battle league :kissing_closed_eyes:
