Well If it takes 4 clues for a guess at most you will be needing 32 clues to guess the number.
For anyone wondering why you would only need at most 8 guesses that’s because you can use binary search which guarantees 100% of the time that you will get the number before 9 guesses.
Basically your first guess is 50
Then if it says smaller your next guess is (1+50)/2 = 25
If it says larger your next guess is (50+100)/2 = 75
You keep doing that and you will get the number in no time.
since 50 cant be the correct number, then you’ll have to use (1+49)/2=25 or (51+100)/2=75 (or 76) respectively instead.
Correct, but It doesn’t really matter though.
