[NEEDS FIXED ASAP] -> Monsters CC

So i’ve put up with it for a while now, but it is absolutely ridiculous that small monsters are not only stunning/freezing/silencing me for FIVE SECONDS, but the fact that they can chain it. I’ve just died 3 times in an area im 8 levels above due to being stun locked for over 30 seconds each time by the weakest mob in the area. This is absolutely the worst mechanic a game can have. YOU HAVE THE LEAVE ROOM FOR PLAYERS TO OUTPLAY THE GAME!
I cant stress this enough, being stun locked or cc locked for 100% health is absolutely the worst thing in this game. Even bosses, a boss should NEVER cc lock the player. Ever.
If the player is CC’d (stunned, frozen, w.e) then the same type of CC should NEVER be re-applied. If the player is knocked down, dont knock them down again without atleast 1.5 seconds time of them getting back up. Same for ALL cc in the game.
I cant stress this enough, it is horrible game design and very easy to fix.

I can code, give me access to the engine and i’ll fix the sh*t myself, for the good of this un-polished-af game.

Rant over. Pls fix. Tyvm

SPR raises status resist. All forms of CC are considered statuses.

CCs definitely need to have diminishing returns when chained though.

Hard map may meant to be a group play

I do agree, perma cc to death isnt too amazing, might i suggest you buy some dispell cards from market to prevent that from happening?

You won’t see a noticable effect in PvE unless you have 200+ SPR.

It scales with level. Too lazy to find the reddit post, but one person stated to have about an 80% status resist chance at level ~230 with ~280 SPR.

Do you know what’s the most egregious part about this? Monsters can remove “soft” CC (knockdowns) whenever they feel like running away or when they feel like casting Ice Pike or Sleep. They simply get up from their knocked-down position (sometimes teleporting a few feet in the process) and instantly get their casts off or run away.

Unfortunately this isn’t difficult - it’s just cheap. It’s no fun when the choice between life and death is taken from you and placed in the hands of a monster’s AI Roulette. This isn’t even about hard maps, it’s about a single monster on an otherwise easy map being able to kill a player simply because its AI picked the same CC spell 3-4 times in a row.

The duration itself is not the problem, the problem is that the CC overlaps, refreshing the duration.

Freeze, Petrify, Stun and Sleep should not refresh its duration while the target is under the given CC, in my opinion.
