Need some help deciding on build path

Ive been asking around and looking for advice on builds, and lemme just say the archer community is fantastic. Answering all my questions and helping me work my way up in the world.

So I have an alternate im making its archer2 already. I was thinking about these build paths:

A2>Sapper3>Falcon3
A2>QS1>Wagushi2 or sapper2/Falcon1>Cannon2
A2>Sapper3>Rogue>Falcon/Mergen

My teammates have a LOT of archers but none of them took falconer to go along with there build, so I definitely need that. Ill be partying with said archers along with a linker and cryo/chrono and other stuffs but those are the main ones ill be with. I just want some advice for what will work with my team and what will help me get through rank 8 content. PvE of course.

Falcon 3 would be amazing as we have like 5 different archers in our group (3 fletchers and 2-3 mergens) along with 2 spear throw users with dragoon I feel like aiming and circling would absolutely destroy any rank 8 mob with ease. But it would be the absolute worst to level with as there are a lot of cool downs and not many filer options to use in rotation when broom trap is on CD. That and rank 7 is going to be absolute hell without a group.

Cannon would be nice, as wagushi would work well with the linkers early and cannon is a nice investment for the buffs on the way and for GvG. Plus wagushis are also getting some buffs later on so that’s really good as well. But with mixed stats and the lack of cannoneer love at the moment I could be left dry till the buffs come in.

The mergen build would be the best for solo play and has great synergies but I worry about rank 6 as it would be kinda hard to get by if broom trap falls off in damage. Also I would have falcon witch would help the group but I miss out on falconer 3 and aiming is really really good.

Most of you guys have already helped me so much, and I appreciate everything, but after looking into it for a while this is what ive come up with. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and thank you for your time in reading.

if you are looking for aoe support, 1st build is fantastic. Since you will playing with your friends (all archers?) then yeah someone need to go falc3. I don’t see too many sappers late game though. 80% are Mergens and I would appreciate if more people play falc3 :stuck_out_tongue:

I wouldn’t reccomend 2nd build with just QS1, if you are going wugu route. It’s better to go into QS3.
How about A1 - QS3 - WUGU2 - Rogue 1 - Hackapell?
STR build with werewolves card?
Very Mobile and easy to stack arrows, Hackapell also has reduce crit resist. Can get tanky from pet attributes.

A2>Sapper3>Rogue>Falcon/Mergen

not my fav but if you like capture gimmick build, go for it x).

I’ve been looking for info on Sapper skills but haven’t found any straight answers. Do you know what skills are prioritized by Sappers?

I planned to max Broom Trap, Spike Shooter, and Collar Bomb, and them max one of the Circle 1 traps too.

Between Stack Stockade, Claymore, and Punji, which are the most useful/ worth maxing?

[Sapper]

Archer without [missile] skills.
4 [pierce melee] skills, and 3 [melee strike] skills.
This class has material cost & material weight.

Stake stockades <<Click here

Stake stockades is able to hit an enemy as long as the enemy moves away & moves back into the stockade. 2 Overheat, 3 hit per stockade.
It is possible to kite & lure an enemy to make it receive multiple hits. Or you could use Heavy shot knockback to make the enemy re-enter stake stockade hitbox. Some mobs cannot be knocked back though. Use aiming to enlarge enemy hitbox to make them easier to get hit by stakes.
You should cancel stake stockade long animation by jumping immediately after casting. Animation = ¬1 second, cancel time = 0.0 seconds, so it saves you 1 second of being stuck in animation.
Stake stockades cannot hit flying.
Unlimited AoE, but it can be destroyed (not easily destroyed though).

You could also have a cryo snowball make stake stockades deal a lot of hits:

Broom trap <<Click here

With rotation attribute, broom Trap deals up to 24 hits on 1 target if it receives all hits. It will deal more hits if the enemy moves against the rotation direction of the trap. Broom trap deals Strike damage so make sure your wizard friends cast lethargy with strike debuff attribute.
Broom trap cannot hit flying.
Unlimited AoE.

Claymore <<Click here

Claymore set-up is quite slow. Once you have set-up your claymore it will remain stationary. You can move anywhere and press the skill button again to make it explode. Deals a single hit, and inflicts Knockdown & Knockback on enemies.

Punji stakes <<Click here

Punji Stakes you only needs the Attribute - bounce damage (knockdown damage) to inflict a lot of damage on enemies. Each bounced enemy will hit another enemy and deal damage. This stacks multiple times. It depends on the size of the enemy hitbox & their amount of bounces (close to wall = more bounces).

For example falcon3 aiming will enlarge their size to enlarge their bounce hitbox - easier to make enemies hit each other by bouncing. Some enemies cannot be knocked, sadly. The casting time is very long (3 seconds). You need a teammate with CC to help you.

Please note that knocked enemies will be sucked by frost pillars & they will be re-grounded. This negates their knockdown damage (bad combo).

Unlimited AoE.

Combo:

Detonate traps <<Click here

Detonate traps, use it to destroy annoying boss trap pillars such as Restrained Attack trap pillars. It will destroy allied & enemy ground magic circles so beware. It will destroy Instanced Dungeon Clear voucher beam so please :sob:.

Collar bomb <<Click here

Collar Bomb ’ set-up count’ means ’ amount of hits’ . This skill depends on the size of the enemy. If you aren’t close, your skill will miss. It generates an orb which floats around the enemy. If the orb hits another enemy target, it will explode & deal damage. Recommend frost pillar or snowrolling + collar bomb.

It is strange with aiming, since aiming enlarges hitbox - the orb will float very very far from the enemy. Quite difficult to make it hit another enemy when the enemies are clustered.

Spike shooter <<Click here

Spike shooter shoots narrow spikes, usually a few spikes will miss on smaller targets. Spike shooter is better vs larger targets (aiming). It is possible to deal more hits depending on your AoE ratio & amount of enemy targets. Recommend to wait for bosses to generate traps -> aiming & circling -> spike shooter. Cooldown is too long though.

Conceal <<Click here

Conceal used to be useful to hide the Siaulai Torch for 3 minutes, and also other quest objectives. Now it has been nerfed to have a shorter duration on objects.

Sapper materials for skills <<Click here

Sapper materials can be bought at the dievdirby class master (woods), and the wire & claymore are bought at the sapper master.
Materials might or might not be expensive depending on your funding.
During auto match dungeon some materials aren’t consumed.

Nice skills are broom trap, punji (lv1), stakes, collar bomb, detonate (lv1), spike shooter.

Going sapper means you will go into melee range to set-up your traps to make sure they hit the enemies. This is quite dangerous without teammate help.

Sapper has stationary gameplay too (traps don’t move).

Hmm i see @Nicola the alternates we are leveling together are a cryo/Chrono, pyro/linker and diev3-pd but the higher level toons are 3 Fletcher’s sr3 Taoist sage and two spear throw dragoons. I feel like if I can make it through the hell of rank 7 we should be in good shape, my question would be how would aiming and circling help mage style classes like pyro/cyro necro aircraft etc.

Aiming helps everyone since it makes it easier to hit more mobs with AoE.

Falconer3 Circling is a big AoE booster for mergens (triple arrow, arrow sprinkle, homing arrow). Circling makes spear throw hit 1x more too.
Going falcon3 means you will become more support, less damage. It does not have a weapon & mount restriction so you are safe for rank 9.

Sapper is incompatible with mount though.

Rank 7 is not hell with your party.

Hows this look? Any pointers would help. I feel like claymore is kinda important but it seems not to be that great. Its the only thing I have to it flyers tho…

Falconer im assuming to NOT get hovering so that first strike will always use sonic strike, any pointers on that? Seems like besides circling aiming first strike and sonic strike the rest seem not so great.

Also assuming I should just save up my silver for the falconer attributes later on? ANd Broom trap of course I guess.

Falcon3 attribute you need is the circling:expand attribute. Price check: https://tos.neet.tv/attributes/310011
Some forum players tested, the attribute has a %chance to make your hit ==> randomly hit -1- other enemy again. This hit will get all %enhance attributes etc. applied again. The hit is usually a lot stronger than the original hit.

You may use this skill planner for updated rank 8 skill (falconer3) descriptions: https://tos.neet.tv/skill-planner

KToS has received new falcon attributes:
-Pre emp strike: disable sonic strike
-Pre emp strike: disable hovering
So they may choose which skill to apply. Yes, falconer = call, circling, aiming, pre-emp strike, sonic strike (sonic strike debuff is strong at PvE).
Moreover they have received a falcon3 attribute: add up to 30% of your falcon pet attack value to each falcon skill (sonic strike).

Sapper suffers quite a bit vs flying (especially stronger flying with more hp). Until you have falcon1 to circling&multishot, you have to rely on kiting, or fulldraw -> burst, or obliqueshot/heavy shot. Usually moving close to Collar bomb/ other traps-> detonate traps vs flying won’t kill them (elite flying), and it is very dangerous.

If you can make ~lvl 190-200, you may start to grind all the way with your party.
