Need some advise with my falconer build decicions

hello first of all please excuse my english its not my first language and i may have some spelling error here and there

so now lets hop on to my questions im currently building a pure falconer and dont know wich classes to get before falconer

i wanted to play around the new circling attribute circling: expand so my build will be focused mostly on aoe for obvious reasons

so far i came up with 3 variations for the build:

this one focuses on broom traps and stockage and the capture skill to get double traps in boss fights etc.

needs werewolf cards tho so can be quite costly
also long cds could be quite annoying but i dont know about it that much any sapper falconers out there? please share your optinions

the 2nd one is a wugushi falconer who should exceed at AoE clear while also having some decent single target dps

im not gonna lie this is the one i would prefer the most but i dont know how some skills interact with each other so here are a few questions about the build

first of all is a full str build viable for falconer at all ?
does circling apply to the poison ticks of the wugushi skills? since the attribute says “If enemies within the range of [Circling] receive physical or missile attacks, there is 5% chance per attribute level that another enemy will receive the same damage.” this is very confusing for me since needle blow and wugong gu are both missile attacks but the poison is not physical damage so do the ticks actually spread or not?
should i leave circling at lvl 10 and go 3 points into aiming and how would that affect my throw gu pot ?
is it worth it to just go with c2 wugushi or would i be missing out on some serious damage?

the last one is a ranger rogue falconer who should have some pretty cool interactions with aiming and circling but is pretty generic should still be fun tho

questions for this one are as follows:
does aiming work with barrage and high anchoring?
does circling increase the targets my bounce shot can hit ?
is it worth it to go rogue or should i just go with scout and make a dex build?

i hope you guys can help me out and i hope this didnt get to long thank you in advance and maybe this can clear some thing up for other people too since i didnt find many topics on falconer

EDIT: went with the sapper falconer will post updates

EDIT:

so i just tested a few things with capture and detonate trap together with other skills here is what i found out

firstly and probably the most important thing is that one can use capture on the end of skills like broom trap and circling and when used afterwards they will count as freshly casted spells and maintain the full duration this means one can have basicly double duration of broom trap + circling when the timing is right

i also tested if detonade trap will maintain the aoe of circling when used on the skill but sadly it doesnt that means only the enemys in the middle of the circling aoe get hit and it also does not get affected by the circling itself so sadly we cant stack two circlings and detonate one i must say its still worth to use it on the end of any trap just for that nice finishing touch

apart from the standart double trap combos here is how i would use it:

use circling + broom trap and capture both

use circling + broom trap -> wait for it to end -> use 2nd broom trap and circling from capture wich btw one can place further away

the reason why i dont use both at once is so that i can use 4 multishots within circlings instead of only 2

with this combo properly done you get only 20 second downtime until the next broom trap is ready and only 15 seconds until next circling but please keep in mind that capture has a long cd so its mostly only worth for boss fights

allways remember to use detonate trap on the end of the durations

im not c3 falconer yet so i cant test anything with aiming hope this helps people probably gonna make a full guide once im far enough in the game

Hey there. I’m also struggling to find a nice (and fun!) falconer 3 build. There are so many good combinations that I don’t even now where to start.

Some people in the forum showed me a korean guy building an archer3>scout2>falconer3 and found it really fun, he’s waiting for rank9 to get scout3 for split arrow.

But sapper-falconner seem a really good combo, as well as the wugushi-falconer, wich would expand wugushi single targe to some aoe.

can you link the scout falconer ?

My current build is A2R1Sc1Rouge1F3 might go for mergen if rank 9 comes out  So far it is pretty decent.

Here you go. He says he will take scout3 when rank 9 comes out. It seems pretty good to me, but I don’t know, I think I would prefer to save rank9 to some new class, since falconer3 will be awesome with anything that comes (in my opinion).

hm the build looks really cool but i dont think it would be better than the sapper rogue falconer since flareshot has longer cd than broom trap and less aoe

also as far as i know it cant hit flying enemys not sure on that one tho scout 3 at rank 9 seems kinda silly if they will actually bring out rank 9 classes i would imagine there will be by far better skills than split arrow

hmm good point. You would take rogue only to capture more traps? Why not take sapper 3?

I STRONGLY agree with you here. Rank 9 will probably have much better skills. This is why I think sapp-falconer will be good, cause it’s future-proof.

So, overall, what classes are you going to take? I’m really really lost making a falc3.

Maybe why archer3-scout2-falc3 shines is because you can make ANY skills aoe with falconer. So, if sapper is already aoe, how would it benefit from falconer3?

Edit: quick question, do you know if falconer skills can be used while mounted? Like falc-SR or falc-hacka?

Yes all falc skills now can be used while mounted

I like your #1 build the most, #3 comes second.

No need for WW cards since you have Archer C2’s Swift Step Crit attribute. You can worry about what cards to use later on when you’re satisfied with your gear.

No worries. You’ll have enough skills in your rotation. This is an AOE-centric build so don’t worry if you find it difficult to handle one or two monsters alone (Pre-emptive + manual Sonic Strike should come handy).

Setting up might feel annoying at first the way I see it but you’ll likely get used to it eventually.

Your role as a Falconer C3 is primarily a support so maximize that aspect of the build by getting into parties whenever you can. Of course, this build allows you to solo groups of monsters as well.

IIRC yes, unless it was changed or something.

If you meant with Circling’s Expand attribute, then yes. Quite a costly attribute to max (lv.15 = 25.5m) but definitely worth it. Applies to AOE skills as well (Multishot, etc.)

Considering you don’t have Swift Step’s Crit attribute, Rogue is more beneficial in this Ranger3 build since you can rely on Sneak Hit to compensate for lower Crit Rate (compared to an Archer C2 build). Feint + Barrage is always nice too.

We can’t question how Scout is a 1-circle wonder though.

As for your Wugu variant, I feel like Wugu being more DOT-centric is more suited to be paired with burst AOE ranks like Cannon2 or Mergen if you intend to do mobbing more than single-target DPS.

im going with the trapper build and im having a blast so far just made falc 1 today and its really fun

as for your question why im not sapper 3 i dont like the trip wire trap and i think sapper 2 is more than enough the only reason to go sapper 3 would be for the new broom trap attribute but the crits rogue give you and the double broom trap combo actually deal far more damage especially when you can go full str

broom trap lvl 5 and lvl 10 only make a difference of 215 damage wich doesnt really matter with the weapons you can get in the endgame

wow thanks for the answer and sorry for the slow reply another question i have would be what stats i should max on my hawk pet and if they matter at all? also can my hawk actually be killed ?

Since no one pointed out till now.
Aiming doesn’t work on flying mobs.

Do not spend any silver on the hawk. as for which stats matter: only patk.
The bird cannot be killed.
The bird has an armor slot so put a didel with 2 red gems if you wish to increase its patk.

Spending silver on pets is a waste of effort if it isn’t on HP, since the bird cannot die, well there’s no point in upgrading its stats. they ask for way too much silver per point and as far as we know we can do so until infinity. sounds great, right?

Problem is each time you upgrade an stat, that stat will be progressively more expensive to upgrade and you’d sooner or later realize that there’s no point in going on. for ground companions there are equipment slots. the TP ones get 2 weapons and 2 armor. so far there’s no other bird than the hawk, but there are some datamined ones since the beggining of the game that are nowhere to be found. so I’d hold my hopes for those, and keep my silverr for my weapons. which as a falconer matter more, the bird only gives you 30% of its patk afterall.

sorry what’s that atrribute?

ok I see it =D.

As far as stats go, how are you distributing them? Some con and full dex?

So, just let me see if I understand, rogue is for capturing more traps and having more critical? Is feint or vendetta useful?

i go 100 con rest str
dont need dex cuz of rogue

dont know about feint or vendetta
i picked feint over vendetta because of vendettas slow build up time and i just didnt care about 25 str IF the mob is dying -50% evasion is prety good vs mobs who dodge alot since i dont get any dex

also yes rogue is exactly for that

you could go sapper 3 and go get a mix of str and dex but i never made a dex build so i cant help with that

Oh you’re taking rougue? Circling is a magic sphere.

And as you may know, detonate, explodes magic circles. aiming is also a magic circle so beware there. both circling and aiming can be reversed ( I don’t know how you reverse aiming though, but that silver bird at ET does it )

So, to the important rougue point, circling can be captured. I saw it, from a mystical rougue falconer hakkapell out of all things. It was like an unicorn, so uh majestic!

are you serious?! that is freaking epic

that actually makes rogue even better for the build lol

i really love it when most classes in one build can make cool combos with each other

Yup I’m serious.
So careful with that detonate. and capturing broom trap + circling seems nice, specially with the attribute from circling.

Which leads me to: I think that double broom trap would be a waste if you’ve got circling captured aswell.

But it could be that captured circling does nothing aswell… I think it would come down to how long the first broom trap last. because circling only last 10 seconds. I’m neither a sapper or a rougue so this is beyond my realm. but I think that double broom trap + circling is a nice thing. not amazing, not meta, but something to behold.

now i just need to test how big the explosion from detonating a circling would be cuz if it is as big as the whole circling aoe its actually worth to use right at the end of circling
