Need sapper advice

I rolled sapper because I thought it would be good at PVP. Whether it is or not, we will see.

Anyway, I’m currently AR2 SA2. Since it seems like the playstyle should be within melee range, I think I will go R2 + musk, or R3. I feel like rogue will work, but between flying, and pretty much no AOE, I’m having second thoughts, and just going something like F3, but I feel sapper doesn’t compliment fletcher at all. And I’m not sure how fletcher does in PVP seeing as their best skill (magic arrow?) requires the enemy to be stationary.

I still want to be able to do some decent endgame PVE. What do you guys think?

Sapper is decent in large scale GvG type fights, which are a complete joke btw because of the lag and the way its implemented is basically just whoever has more players online and willing to fight wins, the real pvp in this game is battle league where sapper is not so good. Also if you want to PvP you need at least scout 1

Sooo.

As a sapper player that actually did some sapper pvp in ktos.

You’re not useless.
And if the enemy isn’t using stoneskin (priest op buff, which will be nerfed… anytime soon).
YoU’re death to them.

Let’s see.

Punji Stake+ Claymore are CC type traps.
Stock Stackades + Hide Trap= 3 times hit in the face
Broom Trap+hide trap= hurts

Archer classes like fletchers are good for pvp. Rouges not so, as gear is atm standarized… you wont be able to use karacha set.

Generally phyiscal atk chars are at an disadvantage AS LONG as cleric and wiz classes are still unbalanced for pvp. They’re working on it …

PS: If you want to do good pvp and pve damage, go fletcher3 or fletcher 2 + musketer. They’re a powerhouse of hurt.

I just got sapper going for c2 and atm its pretty good, like the stakes love claymore cant w8 till broom trap, going higher dex than str but not much like str : dex 3:2 so itll be interesting

I heard if you go fletcher, you must go fletcher 3 for max magic arrow for PvE. What do you think?

This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.

And I definitely feel that if I went fletcher, I’d pretty much never use my traps. For both PVP and PVE.

Fletcher3 is because of the extra hits.
Level 5 magic arrow= 15 hits
Level 10= 25 hits +400 more damage from skill (raw)

So yeah. If you want max dps with magic arrow fletcher 3 is needed.
But outside of bossing, magic arrow is useless. Rarely you can have somethign stand in it a long time.
And it’s actualy hits, that arent aoe ratio based. So only links would multiply it (* number of linked enemys).

Crossfire and Divine Arrow, are more likely why people go fletcher 3.
+25% damage bonus more duo 5 levels in crossfire more.
And an hard hitting 200% scaleing delayed shot with divine arrow.
(its (atk+skill atk)2 not atk2+Skill atk as described!)

You can chose yourself. What you rather want.
One thing is true for archer classes.
Atm rank 7 outscales many other dps skills.

My cannonblast with level 30 attributes atm does.

(800+4700)x3 x 1,3x1,5+crit atk 80…= 32,255 k damage on crits.
And with circling i can hit lots of enemys with it.
And it’s instantly xD.

But 10 hits of magic arrow (against an single target) more would outscale it (against a single target).

But heck.

Archer3 is still the god of pve …
Multishot+Circling= OP clear.
xD
Crossfire does alot damage… i only wish multishot had an higher skill atk… sigh

Yeah you picked classes that work together. I feel like nothing goes with sapper at all. :expressionless:

Ehem…

I’m Ar3>SAPPER2>Falconer>Cannoner.

^^

Multishot+Circling=AOE
Broom Trap/ Claymore/ Punji Stake Situational dps.
Stockades= Helped me level early and are still good when i decided to solo quest a bit. 3 times hit+ good skill atk. It works well in a broom trap combo. Set up two stocakdes in a line. While broom is up. And run counter clockwise … if it’s melee mobs. Easy farm.

Broom Trap is still quite good. Not OP good. Now it’s more like an filler or an constant dps source you setup and forget. It deals about 15 hits ~20 hits, if you do it right.
Punji … so many disregard it.
But that moment when you freeze lagg your mates pc … when an mob of 20 enemys get’s flung around. Epic. Sadly… nwo you can turn off death animations xD… but it still freezes people fps to 0 … duo the jumping mobs.

You need to fling them to a wall. So they bounce onto the wall, onto the floor and then a third bounce to get rid of momentum. EACH time it’s 50% phys atk WITHOUT DEF IN THE CALCULATIONS to EACH of the flung enemys and th eonce aroudn it.

Flung 2 enemys? 300% phys atk to both.
Flng 20 enemys?= 3000% phys atk to all 20.

xD

Math ^^.

It’s nice. But not quite as nice as.
16 hits*enemys+bigger aoe circle so you can hit more of them, even if spread apart. I outdps wiz in the right situations~ And i buff forst cloud extremly well~

Everythign goes with sapper. But Falconer only enhances punji and claymore a bit. A BIT … xD.

Fletcher fits like a glove. 0 CD on most skills, which happen to be just perfect for when you are waiting for broom trap to come out of CD. Wugu would also be a good fit, but poison doesnt crit.

AR2>SAP2>FLET2>MUSKT feels very solid to me.

Thanks for your input. I heard wugushi is not good in PVP though.
