Need a build to carry: Krivis-Pardoner

So reset is coming and I want to change my current krivis-pardoner. I need these 2 ranks because I still want to be able to use super regen given how taking 1 damage will be “impossible” in the future. Treat these 2 ranks as “dead ranks”. If they have some synergy to the rest of the build, that’s a bonus.

Here are my current options:
Scribe doctor cuz @DiMeowgio sez so. I have no experience with PD so I’m taking his word for it. If IMC lets us go hidden class without the pre-req quests I’m so gonna go miko (gonna use the risque costume instead of miko costume “gasp blasphemy IKR”).

Druid using the deiv’s 20% damage to plants + [chortasmata]. I see [lycantrophy] as mostly a self contained class that can exist by itself.

Chinq using the chaplain’s auto atk kit + inquisitor’s burn for simple AA madness. This only has cleric at 1 so that’s a downer.

Palinqui using the [conviction] + [god smash] combo. [barrier] scrolls are a bonus.

Monqui just because (I think) I can. Dunno if it would be good or not.

Pick PD 2 with max Healing Factor and you can play like you were a terminator.

Topping your Pardoner1 with PD2 will make it better than most characters to be honest with you.

This character produces my Dispellers, Charms of Protection, Daino Scrolls and on occasion, Monstrance Scrolls. It solos Lv290 DG quite easily too, same for Saalus (which are the two prominent dailies).

The Priest 1 is to always have Blessing active on myself to maximize Heal’s hits. At this point, my Blessing is also at +215, better than what shops give.

I’m gonna add that to the list just so I don’t forget. We get 14 days to test builds. Lucky I have 2 clerics past 317 to try stuff out. Seriously though, ain’t nobody got time to do that miko pre-quest.

And just so you know. I’m not doing this so the cleric has super regen. I’m doing this so all my toons have it. I can’t pass [healing factor] over to my other toons.

Miko could be Oracle instead. You can also produce [Clairvoyance] scrolls for your other chars to use.

Oh absolutely, but the point stands. Putting PD2 on a [scroll-maker-like] build just tops it off way better than any other class. It provided absurd DPS, extremely high survivability and can actually be one of the classes you’ll actively be playing rather than just a toon-slave.

This is all based on pre-patch ofc, might change a bit here and there post-revamp, but the idea is generally the same.

[incinerate] is down post changes (I mean really? 9 points into it only adds 48% SF? Really?) but I could keep it at lv1 then rely on agny for the additive 50% fire damage. It is on a 16 sec cd so it would be like [fireball] and I’m used to using that. Lv1 [plague vapors] could be a thing too.

You have to consider 48% more skill strength for a skill with only 98% skill strength is a lot. That’s almost half more damage for the skill. Also consider Incinerate deals around 3 hits per second (once every 0.4 seconds, to be precise), and lasts 10 seconds, so that’s a huge damage difference over the 10 seconds (25 hits, at minimum).

Incinerate and Black Steam always been about number of hits, rather than skill strength in 1~3 hits like most other skills.

You can’t compare it to the new fireball, that’s crazy. The new fireball only deals one hit (if I’m not mistaken) while the PD poisons will deal 2 or 3 per second. Also, I’d like to mention Pardoner 1 combos quite good with PD 2 (now it should combo even more, considering lower duration on Black Steam).

I wasn’t. I was comparing it to our [fireball] here in itos. And with the SF, I’m just listing my options. 9 points or a necklace slot for roughly the same effect. Stuff like that. Anyway we got 14 days. I’m starting with the doc because I pretty much have experience with the chinq and druid.

Oh yeah, I hate having to play the piano to play a class.

Well, I still think you’re missing out a lot by not maxing Incinerate and Black Death. If you’re a very pvp oriented player, then maybe sacrificing these points for Beak Mask and Disenchant might be reasonable, but I would still keep my primary damage skills reasonably high level. For a pvm character, Disenchant and Beak Mask are basically a waste and you will, at most, sacrifice 1~3 points from either Incinerate or Healing Factor (or both) for Pandemic. Not really worth it keeping both Incinerate lvl 1 and Black Death lvl 1 as there’s nothing much better to get with these points. However, that’s up to you, of course.

Honestly, the only reason I plan to keep them at 1 is “I don’t know what IMC will do with content”. We currently have content where mobs have [missile hole] when they spawn. There are also mobs with imba [golden bell shield]. Who’s to say IMC won’t come up with an anti magic buff that I have to dispell ([disenchant] ‘wink wink’). I don’t want to be screwed later when the reset event ends because I went all in too early.

This may sound petty, but can we not call Chap - Inquis a ‘Chinq’? Pretty offensive.

ChapQuis or ChapInquis is fine.

That being said the build is solid. Cleric1 isn’t as bad as people make it out to be, as long as you have mass heal 10.
