Necromancer.....stupid mechanic!

Well, iam playing a necro atm and the corpse system is shitty as hell…
There is absolutly NO REASON why he has to use a 2nd resource (corpses).

its so fuckin expensive that the idea itself is a joke.
( 1 jahr has 30 corpses and cost 500s)

necro skills consume corpses and sp. for example.
flesh cannon costs ~70sp and 15 corpses… thats 250 silver per spell if you buy jars.
now take a look how many spells you are using in your leveling or boss killing process.

and if i want to gather corpses with my skills…well good luck with that. you get 1 corpse for 1 dead enemy…so you need to kill 15 enemies to cast 1 flesh cannon…

i would understand if i have to spend corpses to summon undead…but to cast spells…really ?

but seriously maybe level up corpe cannon and the cost will be worth the damage idk what else to tell you I’m sry I know how you feel

Meanwhile, necromancer is the best afk farmer and probably can cover that easily.

I’m also a necromancer and I’ve been enjoying it so far. Whenever my corpse count goes down to 100 I always go to Tenet Garden and farm corpses. Not only I can gather corpses, I can also farm Panto Horns which can be sold for 400 each on the market. :grin:

yeah with rank7 he is a strong afk farmer…but until then…not really…
the only “afk”-farming tool he has is his 1x shoggoth or did i miss something?

I’ve been enjoying my Necromancer build. Linker is a must with it. Currently Rank 6 using JP and Flesh Cannon/Hoop with sorc pets and you can wipe mobs.

I don’t really know. Probably including the Skeleton too.

Rune Casters spends 500 silver each skill casted.

And we can’t farm pantos to get runes, wish I could farm pantos to get runes. Although I’m ok with it.

Wait, necromancer is a rank 6 class. Don’t tell me a 500 silver is too much for a rank 6 class? Lel. I buy 60 jars every run on evac and storage. It lasts for hours. Also, flesh cannon is a very powerful skill with low cooldown. The idea of consuming corpse is ok to me.

The Necromancer class is not that bad. Its just, you’re playing it the wrong way.

Flesh Cannon is strong as fk, so why it should be cheap to use?
The problem here is IMO, that we get only 1 corpse per one mob (2 if you actually manage to last hit monster with Gather Corpse and then Disinter), and it can take a lot of time to restore what was lost on casting.
Maybe if the numer of corpse restored increased with Gather Corpse lvl, that would be great IMO, since it would be a good tradeoff between more powerfull skills and utility. But that is just my idea.

PS. Actually I never tried to increase Gather Corpse skill lvl more then 1, so not sure if it actually works as I wrote. :smiley:

i didnt say that flesh is weak or what ever.

if gather corpses may be a passiv skill like “gathers corpses of dead mobs”, it would make so muh more sense.

Just go farm lowbie zones with gather corpse whenever you run low if it’s that much of an issue.

Once you reach Rank 2 and get Disinter, it’s much easier to deal with anyways.

Can you upload some necro gameplay to youtube? Hard to find anything that isn’t icbt2

Sorry for the late reply. Here’s some gameplay in a mission and questing…the mission my Sorc summon evertually got bugged and questing was pretty laggy at that time. FYI it’s only C1 Necro and I rely on the Fragmentation Jewels.

So for those of you that think you know what you’re talking about in regards to the broken corpse mechanic, really need to do your research or STFU.

A fletcher can make 1000’s of arrows. A necro has a 300 corpse limit with skills using up to 10% of that pool. Necros have to set up their gathering abilities appropriately or not be able to gather corpses. If I could pre-gather 50,000 corpses, we wouldn’t have this problem.

Necro is fundamentally broken as a circle 7 caster. No one comes close to cookie ele3/warlock dps. I’m not asking for damage. I want pets that aren’t in special education classes.

Having shogoth lead ahead of you as a tank or meat shield it is… or having a 80+ range AOE taunt aura for it would make it more viable, including animation and attack fixes.

Base AI issues across all pets need to be addressed. Other issues as listed by another in a diff thread, I’ll quote

•IF you gave us a 2nd ressource to spend…atleast give us some kind of 2nd ressource bar…its a joke that i have to open my Necronomicon to check my corpse-count.

•Since “Flesh Cannon” is the only real dmg abilty of a necro, its rather weak compared to other wizard abilitys at the same level. (Rank6 for example) “Frost Cloud” has no cast time at all and deals more dmg…i shouldnt even mention Rank7 since warlocks “Pole of Agony” and “Dark Theurge” are superior to everything ingame and of course they instant casts aswell…but thanks for the 3s casttime on “Flesh Cannon”

All of these fundamental issues needs to be fixed since the EPIC nerfbat hits to sorc and necro have rendered this circle 7 build full blown retard.

On the AFK farming note, semi-afk is 20-25% effective, full afk is not effective due to the competitive market and how shogoth just goes off willy nilly and doesn’t come back. Skellies die super fast, so they’re useless af.

I can 100% super farm while actually playing. Any caster or pew pew class can do the same, actually better because their damage is instant cast or instant. Even melee, can auto attack with a weight on your attack button for afk.

What does this class bring to the table? A whole lot of disappointment.
