My thoughts on C7 classes (and Templar as a guild leader)

You can take Dragoon and Templar at the same time.
Take Dragoon at r7, then take Templar at r8. Or take Templar at r7, then continue as Dragoon at r8 r9.

mi opniones

Best class for templar is Cataphact 3

  • run fast to get in and out of danger coz templar is going to be focus fired upon
  • best swordsman for PvP
  • biggest AoE swordsmin skill

the guildmaster has an indication crown that he/she is the guildmaster to designate them from other players.

*cata also has recieve buffs of charging skill while moving and lower CD

is the templar supposed to be the “guild leader” or just the one that creates the guild?
i was thinking it would be like an alchemist’s awakening, templar parties up with the intended guild leader, having the party leader be the flag that designates that person as the leader-to-be, templar uses a skill and poof. guild formed.

Main problem is all those skills scale with int/matk

I would assume your going to need C2/C3 of Templar also. The point isn’t when you take templar though, either way your down 1-3 circles worth of skills.

Templar is the guild master but in my case it’s just going to be a squire that sits at our guild tower and warps people in.

@Remiri Why would it be important for the templar to be active in battle itself. If I have the option to have my templar on my labtop, warp people in including my main then why would I use the templar itself.

Basically my point is the Templar circle doesn’t bring anything to the table in actual combat.

who gives af tho?

thats why i said “huge base dmg” 1015 per tick on lvl1 incineration with 5 seconds base duration and 1256 damage per wheel on merkabah lvl5 is nothing to laugh at…

not all of them scale with int/matk

the hp buff for kabbalist is %hp, revenge seven fold deals bonus damage based on how much you would take, good for tanking big hits.
the regen from plague is flat, beak mask and pandemic have no scaling

you should be thinking about their utility not the scaling damage you get… your dps is already coming from monk.

I agree with some points that @isaacvithurston made.
I personally love if Templar can have more skills for combat at higher ranks.
Even though its class icon labeled as green/utility, then look at Corsair. Corsair still has their own DPS skills.

So I expect Templar to have something like :

  • Templar’s Wrath / Templar’s Rage / Templar’s Force
Solo buff skill that allows Templar get some bonus damage, or def, or mdef, or other stats, or even all stats, or mov spd depends on the amount of guild members around him, or in his party.

  • Unity
AoE support skill that allows Templar to put a flag with guild logo (in a similar way with Corsair’s Jolly Roger), then all guild members (including Templar) around the flag will gain bonus status, or some resistance towards all kind of attacks, or damage reduction, or damage amplification, or high evasion, or high block, whatever you can come up with.

  • Templar Guard
1 buff skill that allows Templar to absorb some or all damage dealt to his guild members around him. Maybe add some defense, or mdef, or resistance buff.

  • Templar Strike
1 AoE DPS skill with overheat and 1-2 min cd that deals damage based on the total percentage of str or int or physical atk or magic atk or another status of guild members or whatever (including Templar) inside his party. The guild members will lose some amount of their status temporarily as after effect. So this skill is like finishing touch.

@STAFF_John those are my suggestions for Templar skills. If Templar is a utility class, then at least it can do that much.

Excited by the news of OBT, you all seem.
I see interesting points on this thread.
I will make sure all of them are read,
By our hardworking dev team.

I just read aloud what I just wrote. I do lack a sense of rhythm.
I will work on it.

I read it in the voice of yoda

@Erokhi

I don’t specifically think Templar needs damage skills but at least something to make it worth it’s circles in combat.

Id love to see some actual support abilities or even just buffs that make it worth the 3 circles you probably have to take. Heck even attributes could make it worthwhile (like taking sword3 which has nothing good but a 40% stun chance buff).

Because like in RO, if you are on offense you will need to strategically recall behind enemy lines or to the field of battle. If you are afk somewhere your guild will not be able to stage any kind of offense.

First, english is not my main language, so…

Calm down guys… its a test.
Just like other classes have the skills moved between all the circles in last patch, maybe, just maybe, in the future templar’s will have these skills moved among the other circles and get new skills for damage and buffs.

For now, IMC want to test guild features and the circle 1 of templar might be completely changed next patch.

But i do agree with OP, its not like templar is a pvp oriented or pve oriented class… Templars is a guild oriented, totally guild oriented. So, if you wanna do anything solo ou party without a guild member, them templar has no use.

I can warp templar to my main or any other member at the front lines and then warp people to templar. Infact that is much safer than having my templar itself on the frontlines.

I am not sure if you are familiar with WoE from RO, but that would simply not fly depending on if recall has any cast time. If it is instant then whatever.

GvG in this isn’t like WoE it’s like GvG from L2. It’s irrelevant.

Are their videos or are you pulling that info from your backside? -.-

It’s in the patch notes. you build your tower wherever you want, declare war and attempt to destroy the enemy tower. Pretty basic.

Makes having my Templar sitting at the tower most of the time ready to warp in defense a good idea. Infact your probobly at a disadvantage using your Templar to attack.

Also both the Warp to and Warp in are instant cast but have a 1 hour cool down making me even less likely to waste those cooldowns on offense.

or alt dragoon character

So how would it not be a benefit to have offensive recall?

I can only imagine that classes become more “gimmiky” as the ranks go higher. The game seems about your “build” and how compliment your build with class choices. a Rank 3 class that has been circled 3 times should be able to be on par with someone at Rank 6 that hasn’t circled at all. OP Classes would distroy the massive amount of choices you have

also, you can really complete your build before you go templar. or technically you would sacrifice 1 circle to to be able to run a guild. I would imagine that your build would be more or less complete by the time you hit rank 7 and most builds would have a “throw away” circle anyway.

I was also Monk not complementing other classes, i was a little disappointed as well. but its not all bad. just adds more complexity

good points nonetheless.
