My other side is dead

Has anyone played hunter?
Everyone is aware that it is a bugy class. Beyond the bugs there’s another problem: Companions are too easy to kill/stun.

In a normal encounter against 5 enemies in hunting grounds. I’m able to kill them, that’s not the problem. The problem is quite simply my pet, I’m there issuing my commands to my pet yet it dies midway of the delivery.

I do find hunter to be fun to play. It can kill fast, faster than it did before the update. But, the companion is way too unreliable and that’s too detrimental to the value of the class.

Could hunter get an attribute to increase companion’s HP and DEF ?
Perhaps make the companion get 70% of the player character HP and DEF.
Make sure to force disable it whenever the player rides the companion to avoid possible issues.

Imagine you’re working and your tools keep changing shapes whenever you try to use them. Quite annoying.

Isn’t that why you’re supposed to upgrade your pet’s attributes and also give it a gear, though ?
Pets are a big money sink if you want to center your build around them…

I’ve already outfitted with 2 pieces of armor.
Its HP pool is too low though.

I do see what you mean by “upgrade its stats” yet, it is a huge money sink. Way more expensive than attributes.
It doesn’t have attributes for its defense though. And the healing companion attribute hunter has. Has like 10 minutes of CD.

It is not designed to keep the pet alive.

It’s just an incredibly huge money sink, but it’s totally feasible.
But like I said, if you want to build your character around it (so not use Hunter as a “support” but make it so it’s one of your main assets), then you need to be ready to drop a s**t ton of money for it.
Most people think Hunter doesn’t cost much… but that’s only the case if you use it as a class to support your other classes. If you want to focus on it, then it costs more than most classes.

It is an excessive amount of silver to be spent on top of the TP just to feed the pet. On top of the silver if you don’t have a TP companion or won’t use TP food.

Increasing beyond 1K of HP on the companion is really expensive. Just to be able to play. Doesn’t sound sensible at all. I won’t accept your point of view because of that. It is too much investment over investment on a class that let’s face it. Won’t perform x2 as good just because of it.
