My concerns about this game

This feedback is a list of some of my concerns about this game. F2P launch is about a week from now and there are some things about the game that makes me think its not ready for this, in no particular order. I know there is a maintenance tommorrow so maybe some of these will be addressed.

Market
Items have lower end sell value caps much higher than they should be.
Items have higher end sell value caps much lower than they should be.
Many items still have no sell value caps, defeating the purpose of the caps in the first place, which was to hinder RMT.

This seemed like a good idea to me at first, but its not working out at all and you havent seemed to make any changes to help any of these issues. If you’re waiting for the system to even itself out or whatever, it wont. You need to make some changes manually IMC. Also, i think the delay from recieving silver should only be 24hrs. Or maybe have the time scale with amount of silver recieved.

Optimization
With all these people transferring out of klaipeda, i would think the game would run better, less lag and such. The opposite is happening. Lag is worse now than before the transfers. People keep getting kicked out of dungeons, losing their run for the day. Attacks not registering. This absolutely needs to be fixed. Dungeon reset vouchers isnt the answer. These issues havent gotten better at all for me. People wont play your game if it doesnt run properly.

Bots
I really liked your recent efforts with the bots, but there are some issues i see with your solution.

It seems to rely heavily on the bot report function. This is not right. You need to either hire more GMs or find a way to automatically detect them more efficiently. Bot report function should just be an addition feature to detect ones that were missed

Another thing i noticed after rereading your statement. You say 99% accuracy in korean servers. Yet, afaik they didnt even have a bot report function until after we did i think. So, this makes me think the classifier can work without the bot report function. Also, 99% to me means only out of the ones you did ban, 99% of those were accurate. Not that 99% of the bots were banned. This isnt good enough.

I’m not sure how people are in korea, but most people don’t like to play with bots running around everywhere, spamming the chat, stealing kills. You need to think of something even better than the classifier. Something creative. If you cant think of anything creative, you need more GMs. I love this game, but even I am getting turned off by all the RMT spam.

I have made suggestions before, but i have another quick one i will add. Think: after you ban these bots, what happens? They create more bots. You really need to find a way to nip this in the bud instead of waiting for them to sprout. If you cant stop them from creating new characters, stop them at the entrance. Maybe some kind of puzzle for new characters or maze in the starting area, something that bots cant do, but is not too bad for players. Remove the ā€œskip starting zoneā€ button.

I will update this with more later. I really like this game and want it to succeed, but im not sure it was ready for release. You never should have skipped the open beta. I think if you find solutions for these 3 things it will make the game much more enjoyable for everyone, but there is only 7 more days before F2P release…

Edit: One more thing. My why does my character still try to break his neck to look back at me while its fighting? Its creepy.

Edit#2 A few more little ideas for the bots. Capcha. random spawning immortal mobs. random spawning mobs that give a riddle or question. Answer correctly and get a reward, answer wrong and get a debuff where you cant do much damage or something.

Player guard system. Appoint guard captains yourself and let them appoint guard below them. Sure, players might get greedy with power, but thats what the report section in forums is for. Let them put players in an in game jail for , afk farming, bots things like this. It is a much better alternative than the bots.

Id love to be able to see what buffs/ debuffs my random dungeon partys have, works fine in a premade

Its a small thing but its another thing that annoys me and hinders my enjoyment

Thats would be a good addition too.

Added some things to the OP. Suggested player guard system again…

No-KS system is needed. Right now, if you don’t play with friends on normal quest maps, the only people/players that you see are either KSer’s or bots. It’s really frustating gather a group of mobs for a quest, use your skills, and when you are channeling your finishing blow, a archer springs from the ground and stole all your quest mobs, exp and silver. And those type of things happens like 10 times per half-hour.

And there’s a very serious critical problem that NEEDS AT ALL COST be fixed: SKILL DESCRIPTION. There’s no deep explanation of how skills scales and works; some skills have very poor details and most of multi-hit/multi-attack skills doesn’t tell you that they are multi-hit on description. Is not about testing and self-experience, is about know what you are doing, and this is very important for everything.

Greatly thorough post.

Hm!? That sounds creepy lol. I request a screenshot if possible, because I haven’t experienced this.

This sounds like a fun, interactive way to get rid of bots, but bots that can solve these obstacles aren’t uncommon, unfortunately. I wouldn’t oppose the idea; I’m sure it would get rid of some of the bots.

This has puzzled me from the beginning. Anyone can make an account and let their bot do the work. There is no starting obstacle for these bots and it is pretty silly that IMC has allowed this to happen.

I dont have a video or pic of me fighting a mob and it doing this, but imagine my character looking at the mob, then back at me a few times a second every second. It only happens when facing this way and the opposite way.

Well There is the issue now where you are attacking something and the character will just about face and stare the other way making your auto attacks strike air.

Classes that require hits to actually hit for instance monks and DP this sucks terribly. It makes the game 10x slower. Totally unenjoyable.
Atleast with my Cataphract I can just charge sh*t up and slam the floor.

And that above picture is FCKING creepy, like dolls.

what the ćƒ•ć‚”ćƒƒć‚Æ lol…

I really thought I was alone with that. I’ve been experiencing another issue with my Monk while attacking too. I don’t know if it’s lag related or what but I’ll be mid attacking or 1-shot a mob while farming with Double Punch, and suddenly my character just locks up. I can’t do anything, I can’t move, I can’t attack, I can’t jump, the game world just continues to flow around me, but I myself am frozen. Generally what ends up happening is I sit in my chair mashing my jump and attack keys until my character does something again.

I’ve noticed this most while farming materials to craft items, so, so far it’s been common on low level mobs, but it really concerns me. What if this sort of thing happens in a map that’s my current level during questing or farming, or during a dungeon or a merc? In certain situations, freezing up like that can determine living or dying. Death in a 3star map does not appeal to me and I really want to do what I can to avoid it, but shoot, I’m a sitting duck when that freeze issue occurs.

Oh and side note, those screenies of Gringe’s characters looking back at the screen are beyond creepy -_-

Yeah, welcome to monk hell. I freeze up too.

Fck all else 2 stamina per DP is too much. Which is why its 1 stamina in kTOS which we won’t see for probably 3 months… my monk is going on hiatus.

Double Punch doesn’t register, we freeze up. We lag up in pvp too which has made me lose 1 duel with a swartz reiter.

Monk cannot change direction of Eblast with controller.

Monk is only really good at dps-ing strike weakness enemies.
Yeah you can do 10k total DP a hit so what… that’s only 40 times(60 with stam pills)
And only on strike weak enemies.
Also the servers are on the east coast, I should NOT be having lag issues.

I totally agree with the Market issues you bring up and I really hope IMC is reading most of these forum topics/posts, because it’s a common concern and there are many posts raising awareness of it.

The minimum and maximum shouldn’t even be a thing, I’m all for suggestive pricing, but the min/max is just silly. The community is already finding new creative methods to work around all these restrictions that IMC has placed with the market, and they are going to continue to do just that.

Right now the best example would be Dilgele. We really need alchemist potions, preferably after 150 is when you start to see that they’re REALLY needed. But alchemists are left wasting their trade limits to obtain Dilgele and Uosis at reasonable prices, due to the unreasonable pricing in the market.

Edit: Just occurred to me, the mass spamming we see in chat from RMT; put a chat limit. I can’t recall what games I’ve seen it in, but most games won’t allow you to type out more than 3 sentences within a 15 second period or some nonsense. That may be too strict, but something along those lines would be incredibly easy to add and help a tiny bit.

Yeah, my Monk is a stam pill druggy, lol. That 1 STA per DP will be so nice if/when it happens.

my call to make it work if u get bloked by lets say 50 guys on less than 30 seconds automatic ban whit that ull fix the bots spamers
