Anyone who disagrees with me is a whiteknight
That word does not mean what you think it means. Also, I would be equally wrong by saying any thread trying to stop the premium trading is a whiteknight for gold sellers.
In short. Stahp.

Except all of their actions against the gold sellers harmed players more than the actual gold sellers, lol. In fact, it has absolutely no effect on gold sellers. So no, no oneâs really being a white knight for gold sellers.
Even now with megaphones restricted to level 40, itâs still useless, because theyâre spamming general and people who want to use their services will still use them and everyone can still see them spamming, every time they enter town.
Heh, Iâd still consider the lvl 40 thing a success on their part. No lagging anymore due to spamming in shout chat ^^
It was a decent solution to prevent some lag, but that doesnât really help with the gold seller problem.
If I had any proof, Iâd argue that they WANT the gold sellers in the game, so they can earn some extra cash from them.
The problem with the spamming shout was it was affecting the entire game experience, from stuttering the client to other performance issues.
Spamming âsayâ is a heck ton more manageable. I just disable chat bubbles and ignore them.
Some times I almost miss the gold spammers in shout, because actually seeing what people post in shout chat when it is free of spammers is nausea-inducing.
Agreed. Next step: Find ways to filter spam. Thatâs how you solve problems!
It does not mean what everyone means with it, yet it is commonly used for what everyone thinks it means.
Just as you use the word stahp, so senpai would notice you and think youâre cool.
Thatâs why I wouldnât be against having the shout chat as a token only feature tbh.
In ftp, it would help valorise the token, and we would avoid some trolls. Not all of them but heh.
@Skygrinder Letâs be honest, the gold seller problem wonât go away anytime soon. At all. Personally, I use Fedimian, which is GS free, and when I have to go to Orsha/Klaipedia, I go to another channel
My main point is there are arguments on both sides of the coin, so actually refuting his points instead of calling names would be contributing to the discussion.
Instead you just posted up sarcastic drivel and completely ignored all the content in his post.
I agree with all of that, especially about what the people are writing in shout chat now, itâs unbearable. I just have the shout chat disabled.
Still, everything they did just harmed us, not the gold sellers. At this point, the restrictions are there just for the sake of restricting things.
No one likes it. Those who defend it are just, I donât even know. Maybe they like having an advantage over people, so theyâre trying to prevent change for the better.
All of the reasoning for the restrictions to stay that Iâve heard from people seem very twisted to me and I am yet to read a legit reason for why the trading should stay as it is.
It only helps the people that want advantage through payment, otherwise it helps no one and it prevents nothing that they wanted to prevent with it. (Letâs be clear though, I donât think they really did it to prevent anything, I think they just wanted more money, which they hardly need, seeing as games sustain themselves on much, much less.)
My main point is the same as yours, just formulated differently.
Every point I suggested in my sarcastic post actually make sense, just as OP thinks his reasoning makes senseâŚ
Op you play the game at all?
If you do looks like you doing it solo and dont do trading in mmos in the first place so you 2 cents are BS.
I think that the argument stems from a lack of belief that other people will disagree with them. Letâs be 110% clear here.
I like it.
Just because I like this move by IMC does not make me or anyone else a âwhiteknightâ or an âasskisserâ. I understand you did not say any of these things so donât think I am targeting you.
I think the price needs to be a tad more reasonable, but they donât necessarily need to reduce the TP price of tokens. All they need to do is offer a TP package that discounts in bulk. They could make a 60 or 90 day token at a discounted unit price as well.
I think it is a genius way to make the âVIPâ package meaningful, and while I understand it is unprecedented, it is IMCâs sandbox and we are all playing in it.
My biggest gripe with the way trading is currently is that in order to just move items between your own characters both need to be token users. Even then I think your gear still loses potential every time you trade it? I do not think it should cost someone almost $40 just to move something from one character to another, especially in a game that not only highly encourages creating MANY characters, but also in a game where if you want to be a merchant it significantly gimps your characterâs effectiveness in battles.
I just donât see why your âteamâ canât even share resources.
I will be honest and say that I mind it a bit more than you (having played with a friend, seeing him loot an item you need is annoying as hell with no trade possible), but itâs not something I find completely game-breaking compared to the restrictions of the AH.
I remember in the CBT when my friend read up on this staff called the Ludas staff. It would make all of his Pyromancer skills stronger. So me, being a Krivis at the time sent off on an adventurer to a map we had never been to before, to farm a heavily farmed enemy for his drops. We split up, meeting in the middle of the map every so often to trade what we had gathered. Finally he was able to make his staff and it was a nice little accomplishment.
Canât do that anymore, not without paying and I better hope I still have trades left. See if Tree of Savior was serious about the RMT issue, theyâd make like Black Desert and simply disable all 1:1 trading (mostly). The fact that they want to charge you to trade already shows that the whole combating RMT is simply not true.
Those whiteknights will literally eat mountain-sized sh!t and still say itâs delicious.
Agh, the âthey need to make moneyâ argument again, so youâre assuming that every game that has no trading or a token-like system ran out of business because they canât make money. I have a feeling youâve never played an MMORPG before.
Taking out a feature that people expect from any MMORPG wonât help fight against bots. The funny thing is, I would spend more than I already have with the EA if it werenât for the restriction concerns.
I find it funny that there are people who thinks limiting trading would help fight against bots, if they wanted to go the no trading route to get rid of bots, they would have taken the whole thing out like BDO, but they left it behind a paywall, which seems more like a cash grab than anything.
Up until the 28th, the game is essentially B2P, if they bother to put somebody in the server to ban the bots, and the bots want to come back, thatâs another 10 dollars for the EA, more money for IMC.
I havenât logged onto an alt yet but I made the assumption that tokens were team-wide and not player-wide.
That would be a nice ease-of-life buff they could give tokens to boost their value. I personally would not have tokens on 2 different characters, since I can only play 1 at a time. Would seem like a waste of money to me.
Gold sellers generally use fraudulent cards to buy into games like this. You can also buy a $10 founders pack, do your spamming, then refund with steam policies.
