Musketeer without ranger

Can you make a good musketeer build without ranger ? Something like

Ach c2- sap c2- rouge c1- scout c1- musket c1

Or

Arc c2- hunt c2- rouge c1- Falc c1- musket c1

Thinking about mostly pve and maybe some pvp

?

why WOULD you make a musketeer with ranger? oO

to be slightly different and because i think ranger class seems fairly generic and i like the look of the other classes.

BUT, if they dont work out well with musket or are way lower in damage then id rethink my plans. but i wont know if i dont ask ^^

A ranger3 fletch2 musk is a great build

But nah machine gun Cannoneer is better.

I think sapper already give enough AOE ability, u dont really need falconer~
But instead, scout1 with cloaked snipe would be a better choice~

thats what i did for my first build

arc c2 - sap c2 - rogue c1 - scout c1 - musket c1

although im torn between

arc c2 - hunt c2 - rogue c1 - falcon c1 - musket c1

what i worry about in the first build is just relying on arch and sap skills basically all the way to T7 im not sure how that would go ?

the 2nd build i think offers a more CC and single target damage with high burst on rush dog and musket skills
but i worry about its AOE ability and its abilty to be really effective at end game which is more aoe spam ?

I dont think sapper earn the AOE reputation at the end game either…broom trap already shows lack of damage even at R6~And u only plan to take C2 which would be much worse~

how do you think the 2nd build would go at end game pve ? im pretty sure it would be fine in pvp.

but yeah just concerned about the lack of AOE

i supose i could add wug c2 instead of the r c1 and scout c1.

but i was really hoping on a build with musket where i could avoid weapon swapping

I’m still working on my Cannoneer now. But I’m planning on a Musketeer build. Mine goes like this. A1-QS3-A2-Scout-Musk. Is this build okay?

I think there’s similar build exists??
Archer2 Sapper2 Wugu2 Musk…
But I dont have high hope on these kind of builds. Because mobs at end game have like almost 100k HP…Would take a long time to tick damage…

I am using this build~should be no problem till R6.u will not be able to grind because this build lack of AOE, but u dont have to either. Just take it slow using dungeon and mercenary to level…then,when u reach lv170+, there will be some scenarios that spawn lots of high HP mobs,sometimes caster mob as well…
Not that u cant defeat them, just struggle~Like 23sec running shot can only take out two at most…then u either cloak or running around and wait for CD…

But I am not sure how other class solo these scenarios, could be more struggle than this build…At least running shot + camouflage = machine gun bunker.And kneeling shot at lv10 doesnt have significant difference to lv5~So kinda mixed in DPS and survivability~

I’m not planning on getting kneeling shot, is that bad for my build if I don’t take it? Maybe just lvl 1 for fun like what I did on my Cannoneer build. I usually play with my 3 friends and we always do the quests together so that no one gets left behind.

And can I ask your stat distribution and skills for the QS part? I tried the simulator and ended up with this skill build:

Deploy Pavise 9 (for 100% uptime?)
Scatter Caltrops 15
Stone Picking 2
Stone Shot 3
Rapid Fire 10
Teardown 1
Running Shot 5

Just discover that musketeer skills have very long range :sunglasses: (esp.Snipe)

kneeling shot alone doesnt have any good uses…if u r not going for running shot then u can skip kneeling shot~But if u do, and u have a solid party, kneeling shot really shine in BOSS fight~

u may want lv10 pavise for a tiny bit of extra time to deploy another one~

PS:Dont trust pavise~It does nothing most of the time(äøæ

I dont see any usefulness of stone shot and teardown in PVE…They are for PVP only. Stone shot does merely no damage and chance for just 4sec stun not really helpful, same with teardown…But, rapid fire for lv10 is arguable because it will take much longer to load and itself not a good skill either…u can take lv5 rapid fire instead and leave 5 point on stone shot or teardown just for fun~ur CC will rely on full draw and caltrops~

hrmm if i where to take musket into say Earth Tower at end game.
what Class OTHER then ranger would make it usefull as musket has very little to no AOE for ET.

Is there anyone whos taken musket into ET that could answer just how well the class performs in ET ?
