No I didn’t mean that. Quarrel Shooter C3 is more important than Archer C3, but Archer C3 and Scout C1 are both good and it just depends what you want. Scout is fun to sneak around with and for some good utility, archer gives you much stronger kneeling shot and multishot, better Swift Step, etc. You can also choose falconer at rank 6 instead if you like that. All good.

My personal preference/rankings for the Rank 7 choice would be:

  1. Falconer
  2. Archer
  3. Scout

Because I played Sniper in RO and like the idea of the falcon flying with me. Archer’s lvl 10 kneeling shot has AMAZING synergy with QS3. I don’t like sneaking so much, but Scout is really great.

I want a build with that involves the scout at the very least, but can’t decide what route to take. Also not sure about ranger vs quarrel. I hear steady aim is getting nerfed which makes that route seem less appealing.

Here are some of my thoughts so far:

Archer C3 -> Scout C1 -> ??? -> Falconer -> Musketeer.

I think this would work well since it has high single target dps that the falconer can turn into AoE as well, but I’m not sure what to do for rank 5.

Archer C1 -> QS C3 -> Scout C1 -> Falconer -> Musketeer.

This would give me running shot which seems to be popular, but I would lose a lot of multishot as well as the bonus from swift step. Also, how good are the other QS skills? Seems like a lot just for 1 skill that only affects auto attacks.

Archer C2 -> QS C3 -> Scout C1 -> Musketeer

This would allow me to have kneeling shot and running shot, but wouldn’t the build overall suffer from not having the falconer’s circling?

3rd one for PvP probably. Falconer too good in PvE, scout isn’t.

Hope they will buff scout C2 and C3 to make it viable.

Archer C3 not worth it IMO.

I would recommend to search about underdog builds, right now everyone do QS c3 and musketeer, yeah It has a high damage so do canooner and wugoshi c3 and fletcher c3.

What is still a mystery is how to use effectively rogues

for pve fletcher c3 is still very strong and wugoshi has a really interesting sinergy with turret builds(running shots)

As building a running shot path you can think out of the box too(I guess it’s more appropriate think out of the barrel XD) try use combos with fletcher or gushi

  • Fletcher have broadhead and bodkin point(bleeding and armor pen respectively) good for single targets and bosses.

  • gushi gives poison with auto attacks(zhendu) and AoE dmg both good for PvE and pvp

I tried fletcher during the iCBT. However, the armor pen debuff only lasted a few seconds making it hard to use other abilities before the debuff fell off (dodging attacks etc). If they made it last longer I would find it more appealing. Though magic arrow seems like it would be Godly at C3.

Also is there no cd on magic arrow? I don’t see it in the simulator, that would allow it to be higher dps than Musketeer C1 for PvE at least.

I like the scout too much to give it up. Even in PvE I can easily farm certain dungeons by skipping all the mobs. The stealth can be used in other ways as well that just makes it too good to pass up imo.

Since the falconer’s has the ability to turn high single target into AoE I want to have that in my build as well. So I am trying to figure out a build that uses both scout C1 and falconer C1. (Wouldn’t mind scout C2/C3 if it were buffed somehow)

Rogues have no tools for PvE.

I wonder what synergy wugushi and running shot hace, but not sure if it’s worth to drop Wugushi C3 for it)

Zhendu is not poison with autoattacks, it’ll apply only at first autoattack and is quite weak comparing to other poisons.


I personally use scout in 2 ways: first is PvP with my Rogue2 Musketeer build and second is in Linker parties for mass invisibility. Scout position in archer tree is not very good to choose it over alternatives, at least for me. C3 ability is very good, but most of others are trash, he needs at least 1 more ability to spend points into.
