Murmillo costume. Wrong position of manica and ocrea

First need say that all characters in game are left-handers.

Murmillo (also sometimes spelled “mirmillo” or “myrmillo”) is a type of gladiator.
Manica - segmented or scaled arm-guard made of leather or some metal alloys. The right arm of gladiators was protected with a manica arm-guard. Left-handers naturally wore manica the other way around.
Ocrea - shin guard/protectors made of gold, silver or other metals. Myrmillones, secutores and provocatores had only one greave on the left leg. Distinctive bend of the upper edge of the greaves worn by myrmillones and secutores may have protected their legs from being hit by the bottom edge of their own shields.

So, all of this info say that manica must wear on dominant hand. Murmillo worn only one ocrea on the shield-side leg. As a result left-handers must wear manica on the left arm and ocrea on the right leg.

But in game murmillo costume for right-handers. (manica - right arm, ocrea - left leg)

Maybe so conceived? But I feel uncomfortable about it.

no official answer about it?

It’s TOS’ character design that applies to all classes. Everyone’s left-handed.

I know that all characters are left-handers. I interested why murmillo costume as for right-handers.

According to legend, left-handed people are some kind of genius. Not this case.

It really doesn’t matter if the character is left-handed or right-handed, manica should be on the sword arm and ocrea should be on the shield side. If you think about it, it makes no sense to protect the arm that’s already protected by the shield it’s holding…

Since it’s a 3D model, maybe the devs could simply do a mirror flip on the model to fix it.

so it should be like this

Although it would be awesome if they changed it, I think it is very unlikely that they do :frowning:

It makes more sense being this way. I liked it.

I really don’t know what are you complaining about. They will not correct it. Period.

One of the worst things I saw about “reality check” was Finestra.

Finestra pose is just horrible and should be the opposite: Spear down when using Finestra and Spear up without using Finestra. Any one with a minimum knowledge about medieval fight, will know that This pose it’s just horrible on a real fight, and it’s good ONLY as a preparation for spear Throw, but not to a fight.
Try imagine yourself fighting with the hands at this position:
[Finestra Pose:]
swordsman_m3

That is how it should be: (what in case is the normal pose, but I didn’t found an image from the game)
spear right

But if you want to argue Reality Check with IMC, tell me, how the hell someone can attack rotating the spear while mounted using one hand like this:

This is the most “anti-reality” you can find in the game, yet, it’s fine for everybody.

I think you shouldn’t tag someone who has posted 5 months ago.

that is ok, you still here, that is fine
