Multiple things that could use change

First let me say that this will be a work in progress as I can only think of a handful of things. Overall, this game is great and I can not wait for the official release.

As far as classes go, I think it is great how many options we have, and there should be no change in the way we level through them and choose new ones, at least until I hear a better idea of how to do so if such an idea exists. It gives you time to play around with them before going on to the next, and feel what you enjoy and don’t like of the job as you go. The exp is great as it is, gets you through the low ranks fairly quick to experience the new stuff faster, but slows down around the time you get mid rank 3. Keep the pace with leveling getting a little slower all the way through and I imagine it will work out well, taking a month at least for most players to even get to the end ranks.

There are a few buggy bits I have come across, one being the jumping on boss heads if they run in to you. Sometimes it will get you stuck on top where you can’t move, but you can still attack them and they can’t hurt you. Also, if you jump while stuck on top you will at times drift down through the floor, or keep jumping and go far above the map.

Wiz is the main character I have played so they are the ones I know the most issue with. Magic Missle is a pain to target, if you are not close to the enemy then it will not hit them at all, even if the shot goes right in to them. Also, it should not track on to traps, unless you were to target the trap itself of course. It should always target enemies first, with the more powerful ones being the primary target unless otherwise specified by the player targetting.

Swordies and cleric types need to have the option to attack the direction your mouse is at when doing basic attacks, so if I am highlighting an enemy behind me, it should turn around and attack that enemy rather than attackign the air in front of me. I realize this is likely why there is a prompt stating controls may be more difficult while using mouse, but it should be something that can be changed at some point without too much issue.

Stats, there is a big problem with them currently. There is not enough of a points difference when adding to str or int to make them a great choice. They need to add 2-3 points in attack rather than 1, or at least every other point get an extra point in the attack or something. 100 points in str only raise attck by 100, which a level 75 weapon can do alone, and then some. There is more use as it is to go in to somethign like spr for the sp or con for the hp. There needs to be reason for a player to actually debate on which would be better overall.

Market needs more sorting options, if one is looking for pants, we need to be able to select the type (cloth, leather, or plate) so we don’t have to scroll through 500 pages to find the one pair that is sitting there. And why have cards on the list if they are non-tradeable?

Not sure if it is already in or not, but there should be a benefit to party, such as 5% exp increase per party member. Also, for shared quests that have you kill x amount of enemies, increase the amount of kills needed for the party per amount of people in the party in the area. Sounds silly, but its worthwhile for exp purposes. If you only need 8, and the party shares that 8 with 4 people, you are only getting 2 kills per person. Lets say its 100 exp per kill. You jsut got 200 exp a piece, where going solo you would have had 800. Sure, it may be faster, but you are killing fewer things per person and thus getting less exp. Give reason to party up, otherwise it makes more sense to solo doing anything other than bosses.

The last bit is in regards to performance and playability. There should be options to turn off effects and auras, mainly the fog type effects that many bosses and traps have. I have noticed my FPS drop to 1/10 of the normal when around them. Even friends I know that play have this happen while they are running on strong gaming rigs capable of playing new high spec games. Not everyone would want to use the option, but it would be nice to have for those who want it.

Also, the controlls. We should be able to customize the buttons. The only way to do this currently is with an outside program such as keybinding on gaming mouse, or 3rd party controller apps. Allow full button customization. Being able to assign attack, or jump, or target select to any key I want would make the gameplay experience a great deal more enjoyable, rather than having to teach myself a new set of buttons to use.

I think that will be enough for now, if you have any ideas or disagree with any of this, please share as I enjoy hearing all sides, just please keep it friendly.
