What God Finger Flick really need is a better targeting system like archers, I always get error message “no target in sight” with this even if I have 2
also needs more range, its harad to use in a situtation where you need to react quickly like in PvP
I’m a Cleric>Priest3>Monk2>PD and the way I see it, in this game having a full support character is not as viable as having a support char with a little DPS since it helps clear the mobs faster. That being said, monks provide the perfect avenue to get that dps from.
Just like what everyone says, if you wanted to go DPS you should not have chosen a support base character which is a cleric. Make the most of what monks have to offer, ever since I played monk the debuffs are the only thing I liked from it and I figured that it would go really well with a PD.
You are a support character and that will never change, you are the only class in the game with heals. So I doubt that there will be a big change with monks.
Don’t get me wrong of course I also wanted my monk to be on par with other DPS classes, but I have come to accept what monks can offer in this game and how I can use it so I will like the outcome. Which is a DPS/Support which is not really bad IMO, compared to full supp characters who just stand there after giving all their buffs and wait for heal cd.

Palm strike/hand knife > one inch punch = gg, if it doesnt kill (which it probably will), their sp is drained, and they’re silenced (so they cant use skills while thei sp is draining) and if they pot, you use one inch again, and there 10 seconds where they cant use anything but run or aa(which will get them killed).
monk isnt a support class, its icon is red, it has 1 support skill, which is ■■■■. on tosbase it says its a pure damage class. and monks can do just as good damagae as wizards and archers, depending on the situation, monk has the highest damaging skill in the game right now, it isnt the bets damage cleric class, it is pretty bad right now, but i just dont like how people say its a support class, when its a RED icon.
Its a red icon in a support branch. Your main role is not to be a dps, you have a red icon and 2 green/yellow icons behind. A wizard build have 2 or 3 red icons. Do you see the difference?
Energy blast is strong, but you cant create a build for just use one skill, because at the end, your dps will be low, you have to be looking forward that skill is ready again
That is way I say its a aupport class, because even if its red icon, only have one dps skill.
Anyway is a strong class and I think this class can defeat all classes in duels.

Two, I think you didnt read my reply about icons… anyway, the reality is what we see on game
red does mean offensive, you realise monk has 1 support skill, its the ONLY cleric class wit more than 4 attack skills. only 2 are non-dmg skills. and 1 of those is semi-damage. all of the red icon classes are damage classes, and youre saying monk is the only support class out of the red icons, whihc means damage based. when class changing it also says its a pure attack based class (the words are copied and pasted from the actual game to tosbase, plus i just class changed to monk) monk isnt a support class, which is wat you guys are saying, it only has 1 support skill, that isnt even that good
The problem with Monk is the lack of foundation classes to boost its damage further. Besides Monstrance you won’t be getting any good scaling skills for physical damage classes, so you’ll be building mostly support in the first 4 ranks anyway. That’s why I think monks just can’t compete dps wise with other classes atm.
diev can come before monk, it does more damage than preist.

Monks do very well in DPS, during mission runs I out dps most swordsman claasses thanks to safety wall which lets me stay longer face to face with my target.
I’m STR DEX Krivis-Monk btw. With my Crit rate and Zaibas Dropping on my target I’m dealing really good damage, there is also One Inch and Palm Strike’s Bleed doing Damage over time
One time during a mission run 2 of the party members got disconected and I was the only melee character left the other is a Pardoner and a Sorcerer I can really notice my damage chipping away the boss HP steadily (sorcerer’s familiar solves the monk’s stamina issues)
Again, monk its an offensive class, I didnt say its not, but its an offensive class built in a support branch. Do you understand what I mean?
Its not the same a offensive class which has only red icons in his build than monk who started being a support class.
Besides, in a mission or dungeon, if there is not a priest in the party but you are in the party, who is going to be the support/healer man? And if someone die, who is the guilty?
The elites will tell you to reroll brolock dps. If you’re not a FS slave, gtfo. I hear it all the time on my chaplain how its a potato class. Welcome to the club!
oh, at first you said your main role as a monk is support. as a ceric if you go a dps class you are a support/dps role, not full support.
At 252, I can say that Monk is really item dependent and needs time to shine. And ping really decides for monk if it can do a helluva lot of DPS or not. I just feel sorry for those who can’t play monk properly because of certain limitations. LOL.
Its true that it can’t do as much damage, but I believe it will receive certain buffs to help boost damage. I do hope the Rank 8 Lama class prerequisite is monk 3, and that the class synergy will be good.
monk has had bufs on ktos, we just have to wait until imc feels like they want to patch it in

no, monk main role is dps, YOU are a support/dps though. you dont spend more time supporting that hitting, where did u get that at? as a dievmonk all you do is carve laima and zemyma occasionaly and divine migth occasionaly then other times youre hitting. your main role is dps, you are a support/dps though. saying my main role is a support is like saying the main role of druid or bokor is support, or the main role of shinobi is tank
Monk is DPS class.Continuously l spamming skills as long as you have stamina, Damage overtime with Palm Strike and One Inch Punch, Armor break, Linear AoE. if that is not DPS I don’t know what is
the classes you take before that defines what kind of DPS you are
Priest > Good Defensive Support
Cleric/Priest > Healer, OK Defensive Support
Cleric/Diev > Healer, Utility
Cleric/Priest > Healer, OK Defensive Support
Krivis > Good Offenisve Support (if krivis decides to build at least 100 SPR he can turn almost every party member to Crit build, swordsmen once again becomes DPS king)
Cleric/Krivis > Healer, Ok Offenisve Support
the question now would be… which of these classes suit you playstyle best
Solo Play - Survives almost every area alone
Party Oriented - be usefull in a party
The reality is, Monk class does not bring out the best in these low level Classes which is the real root of the problem
Chaplain > brings out the best Priest
Plague Doctor brings out the best in Diev/Krivis (spread crit resist debuff)
Druid Brings out the best in Diev and Krivis
Paladin Brings out the best in Cleric
