Michmas Temple farming class

can anyone suggest a class for farming in this map? specially the one that don’t need a full gear
i just started playing my current character lvl 322 lancer created 5 days ago, i still can’t buy armor in market so haven’t tried with this build yet…but i think its not a good farmer hehe so suggestion please xD

elelock with tran4-6 red staff

sr3 / falcon3 / LinkerFF

No class with no gear can legit farm that map.

Mob in this map was super tanky , If you want to use sword class, try to ignore the Socket one.

Lower your aim for now and settle for Rancid Labyrinth (Lv280) as you’re definitely under-geared at this point. Once you’re happy with the armors you get from that place, you can move on to Balaam Camp Site (Lv300) to try and nab a weapon to use or sell (they still sell well despite being Lv270 weapons).

Once you get your Lv270 set to +6 (at least) and have made more headway accessories/attributes-wise, maybe then you can solo farm Michmas Temple.

Don’t expect any crazy mobbing and fast-clears though, not until you touch Transcendence Stage 4+ territory on Lv315 Purples or Oranges (with decent upgrades though, preferably +11 or higher).

Or skip all of the above and get into a party farming Michmas (they usually advertise in shout chat). Whether they keep you in the party is another thing entirely.

I struggled a bit to solo farm the 320 HG until I got my 2H Sword to +9 no transcend stage yet, and armor to +6-7. Now I struggle much less.

Needed to upgrade my defenses to make it happen consistently. I also need Antidotes for the poisoning mobs as well as Dispeller scrolls in case I need to clear out some elites. HP and SP pots get burned quickly as well.

And yeah, as someone else mentioned, try to avoid sockets when you can. Unless you are high DEX/Concentrate as a Swordsman OR have Highlander C3, it’s not worth burning the effort on them unless you’re attacking other monsters along with them.

My build is not an optimal DPS build (Sword C2, Pelt, Barb, Corsair C1 Doppel C3) and certain classes can clear much faster like Chaplain / PD2, Wiz2/Link2/Thaum2/FF2 (less gear investment and lower barrier of entry), SR3 (with gear), Sapper 2 / Wugushi 3, dps Doppel with transcendence stage 1-2 Pevordimas Sword at +7 or higher, etc.

There are pros and cons to the different classes that go down there, but if you want a relatively easy time as a Swordsman, you should aim for reaching/surpassing the following stats:

+4 additional AoE attack ratio from gear (may need to be higher depending on build)
1600-2000+ defense (before or after buffs)
1600-2000+ magic defense
200+ Evasion (to reduce incoming physical damage and durability drain)
Min damage 2300 (Depends on how much AoE / damaging attacks you have. Some builds will need more damage than this).
180+ Accuracy (basically at least 150 STR and some additional accuracy either from base or gloves)
40+ enhance level (+20% final damage per skill) on all damaging skills.

Getting any higher than these stats is good and will make soloing much more bearable with less downtime between packs of monsters.

best solo farmer will be a cleric dps, you can heal yourself and remove status, i usually farm there with my SA3-PD2 with the 315 blue weapon you can go, but purple one makes everithing easy, SW classes consume too many potions and archer when they get surrounded die fast, from mage FF2 can solo with blue weapon and an tanky elememe can kill fast

When in doubt: Plague Doctor

It’ll take you longer to kill things compare to burst classes, but Healing Factor + Heal = who needs potions (not to mention Fade to give yourself some breathing room if it comes down to that)

And Death Vapor is just great for AoE grind.

That’s why Chaplain / PD2 is supreme in 320 HG though.

Infinite blessing means damage is always high against the mobs, tons of AoE with Incinerate dot, Safety Zone and Heal assuming Cleric C2 OR if you go Krivis C1 and stay Cleric C1 that also works just without access to Divine Might, more Cure hits. Auto-attacks during cooldowns are also strong due to buffs.

Self healing, reduced damage received, low HP and SP pot consumption (high SPR means high SP recovery and minimal need to use pots) and high damage output on lots of mobs.

If I were to rank the soloists for HG I think it would be in the following order

  1. Chaplain / PD2 with low/minimal investment for gear aside from weapon
  2. SR3 with moderate gear enhancements
  3. Wiz2/Link2/Thaum2/FF2 with low/minimal investment, but somewhat slow compared to other builds
  4. Doppel C3 build with high gear enhancements
  5. Murmillo with high gear enhancements

you literally could just say you’re a solo player instead of making 80% of us cringe… -_-

Do you plan to farm with that lancer or do you have any other class to work with? There’s also the 1 day lv1-330 challenge that is doable thanks to the 10 xp tomes IMC “gifted”.

if you can provide me a guide on how to do that i’ll do it now hehe
i have other class like squire 3 lvl 230 and w2>link2>thau2 (planning to make it a daily silver farmer at 140 dgn)

@xinronyr is that a pure SPR chaplain pd2?

You may want to do the 170 dungeon daily, instead.

While the 140 dungeon has a chance for Petaimon, the 170 dungeon yields slightly more silver (about 50-60k more than 140 dungeon). Since you will be swelling mobs you will double that amount to an additional 100k-120k earned per run, or around 600-620k per run.

I think 4:1 SPR:DEX with Accuracy gems in gloves. Dex investment makes auto-attacks slightly faster for higher dps.

There are “cheap builds” that work. For clerics “any” full SPR priest3 works (with chaplain-docs being the best cheap farmer). For wiz its full INT or full SPR thauma3 works (with ff variants doing better since it has self heals). For swordies DEX sword3’s work because of [concentration].

You mention having a squire3. Lv11 squire food + lv1 aukuras scroll (700s to make) will keep any class you have alive. This showcases what can be done with the combo. Lv1 scroll cost 700s to make if you have a pardoner. The usual market price I can still remember is 900s (this option is still cheaper than burning through 2 sets of pots). 1 scroll does 3 things: it soft taunts all in range, it heals, it cures conditions (when you are really close to the torch).

I’m Cleric2-Priest3-Chaplain-PlagueDoctor2 full SPR.
This build is the best to farm in solo everything.
But, even in Michmas Temple you need someone who do AOE dmg because you are slow if you have poor gear and attributes.
It’s not about HP or SP, you are immortal over there. But you don’t kill everything in 15 secs (duration of Black Death Steam/Plague Vapor).
I do 1989 blessing and I can’t kill mobs in 15 secs.
Don’t think about Incineration, the radius is very short.
And about Magnus Exorcismus, if you “fail” Exorcise you have to wait 36 secs.

I farm over there only with my boyfriends who is Sapper3-Falconer3, with Aiming from Falconer your Incinerate will become very strong and usefull.

To farm in solo without stress and in few times you must have a 270 weap or Practo weap or a mace that gives SPR at least +11 with blue gem lv5/6.

Personally I don’t need DEX in my build or accuracy gem in gloves. If you have a Sissel, you are a monster.

hey bro im more interested now in your 1-330 challenge i’m willingto delete my squire since i already have lancer+pet+mage hehehe

It costs a LOT of money (instant clears + multiply + x8 tome). I believe every account should have a squire since food buffs can be given to any toon in the account. but that’s just me. Good luck with whatever you decide.

elememe full con, dps from weapon, enchants and equip, not a cheap option, but viable
