I’d like to start by saying how disappointed I am with the Mergen class. The information released when rank 8 for archers was announced is totally misleading. A few points about the class bellow.
- For an “AoE” specialized class, it falls really short. Hitting three of four monsters might be more than most classes, but it is still far from what your player base expected. The AoE damage output by Mergen can be ridiculous if compared to an Elementalist (a rank 6 class);
- The cooldowns are way too long for anyone to consider that this class can keep it’s damage output to fulfil it’s AoE part;
- It is not even a good burst damage class. The damage output is poor, falling behing a lot of inferior rank classes.
It’w design is bad, and it needs a lot of adjustment for it to be what the development team announced it would be. An AoE specialized class should not pop it’s 4 damage skills for 8000, 10000 damage each and then sit down waiting for 30s to start over.
My suggestions are:
- drastically reduce it’s cooldowns. Keep in mind that it needs to maintain it’s AoE damage spam;
- Increase damage, AoE and reduce cooldowns, all moderately. An all-around improvement would already make the class feel less of a waste;
- drastically increase damage. Make it so hard-hitting that your players would not really care about the long cooldowns.
Please keep in mind, I am being polite here, but the class is very bad. It’s not just my personal preference, it’s poorly designed and does not even come close to being what the developers meant and what you so proudly announced it to be.
